If you reacted to nothing but Geoff and Voiceplay I would be perfectly happy. Geoff has a new one, I See Fire from the second Hobbitt movie, and Voiceplay is releasing their new one this Friday, June 16. Be prepared!! Did we forget to mention that Geoff has a solo channel? He started it during the first year of the pandemic, when Voiceplay had to stop touring. Check it out!
Don't worry, nobody gets it right at first, Anthony's name is pronounced Garjoola, it's an Italian name. Yes it's Eli with the bat, but his name is pronounced like Ellie, short for Eliezer. VP is currently Geoff on bass, Layne on percussion, Eli - rock tenor, and Cesar de la Rosa., tenor with a load of sass. Great reaction. Have you heard their Dream On yet? Fans, VoicePlayers, come in all ages, young to old and very old, like me. :) Just an aging rocker, though partly a aging hippy as well. I love it all. :)
I’ve given up classifying these guys as tenor, bass, etc. since they all have ridiculous range. Eli is supposedly the group’s tenor but lately he’s been giving us a lot of his lower register and it’s so nice! Cesar is theoretically their baritone but he’s the one who hit those crazy high notes in Dream on. Layne was the group’s baritone before he took on the perc., and in his latest solo cover as well as VP’s cover of In The Air Tonight, Geoff lays on the baritone. Eli can hit notes way into the bass range and so can Layne, so I just give up. 🤷🏻♀️ Me too-loving it all.
Hey Crow thanks for such a fun reaction. Geoff and Layne split arrangement duties and this is a Geoff. You can almost always tell who is arranging because they will push the other. In Layne arrangements he has Geoff sing more, lower, and hold the notes longer (side eyes Valhalla Calling). Geoff’s arrangements tend to have more beatboxing and more “creative” beatboxing sounds. My understanding is that Geoff and Layne have been singing together for 30 years now (middle school)
If you have the opportunity you should try one of Voiceplays older songs 21 pilots mashup with kurt hugo Schneider also panic at the disco. In 5 minutes!😁🔥🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎😎🙏🙌🔥😎👍
Both voiceplay and postmodern jukebox have phenomenal covers of this song. You can love both, because they take completely different approaches. Pmj does this with Haley in new Orleans dirge and haley is Jessica rabbit.
It's Geoff, Cesar, Anthony, Eli (pronounced as 'Ellie') and Layne - love the reaction, can't wait until you see Geoff's latest one! 😉It was filmed in a disused department store in a local mall (the graffiti was genuine, they had to tape over some of it!), it has the same 'post-apocalyptic look' as 'Dream On'..!
right after Geoff went higher with his bass, when the bass started sounding like it had an effect on it, that was Layne. whenever you hear "weird" bass sounds, that's Layne. He uses inhale bass and throat bass, which sound very different from Geoff's bass 🙂
Anthony G works. His last name is pronounced Gar-Jewl'-lah. The guys here are Anthony G featured, Geoff (did the arranging), Layne beatboxer, Eli (bald tenor but has a great range, Eli rhymes with jelly), Cesar with the Mohawk (baritone/tenor). This is an amazing video. This empty store is in the same mall as Pattycake Studios (owned by a former member of VoicePlay, Tony, and Layne. Tony can be heard in Phantom of the Opera by VP. He decided he'd rather be in production so he and Layne are co-owners and a fair number of Geoff's solos as well as VoicePlay's videos are done there.
I love your reactions. ❤ Acapella families are pretty inclusive.. Only requirement is that you appreciate the music and their members. Hugs from Newfoundland 🍁
Eli definitely reached new heights with this one and invited everyone else to join, while Geoff went to further then the depths of He11 and shattered it. I don't think anyone in Voiceplay knows how to stay in their lanes. A good example would be their Road Trip 😂😅😊😂 (warning it will contain former members) We're generally called Voiceplayers
@huldra Draco has a fun vid of Geoff beatboxing. Includes a clip of Geoff beatboxing and singing at the same time. m.ua-cam.com/video/A03QiNVaeso/v-deo.html&pp=ygULaHVsZGEgZHJhY28%3D
I am so glad I discovered your reactions! Your energy and appreciation is so infectious! And of course our shared love of Layne's mad skills! Great reaction!
Another banger song and even bangier reaction. ❤ (I think I may have created a new word for this: 'bangier' 😅😅😅). I know that if I watch one of your reactions I'm going to hear something great. Have you ever reacted to something you didn't like? Anyway, keep them coming.
During Eli's solo Geoff shoots his gun (hand), blows the barrel and you can hear the shell hit the floor.

Geoff castelluchi I see fire
I love this song and the original. It was my pre fight anthem
Geoff is also a beat boxer...he taught Layne how to beat box....although by now many years later Layne is in another league with his beat boxing.
