I NOTICED THE BIBLE IS A SUPERNATURAL BOOK WHEN READING IT, I PRAY, AND ASK QUESTIONS. SOMETIMES THE HOLY SPIRIT ANSWERS THEM. I CAN LITERALLY FEEL IT CHANGING ME THATS HOW I KNOW ITS SUPERNATURAL, NO BOOK HAS EVER DONE THAT TO ME BEFORE, AND IM DEFINITELY NOT THE ONLY ONE. AMEN.

This is so beautiful. I am 77 years old. My time in the Secret Place is the most precious to me. The first thing I do is arise early, sit in my chair with God's Word and my ☕️. I ask Holy Spirit to lead me where to read. Also, God has led and empowered me to memorize as much scripture as I can. We never know when we may enter a time and place where we have no Bible. Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus are sitting in a prison because of their faith in Christ even as I am typing this and as you are reading. Another resource I. My 50+ year journey is reading testimonies of dear saints like Richard Wurbrandt who was arrested and spent 14 yrs. in a communist prison because of his faith in Jesus. God's Word always takes priority over all other reading no matter how good other books are. It is the only book that is alive and the Author is always present. God Bless you all.
    With Love,
    Gini

My mom read the King James version of the Bible to us every night. It made us so intelligent!! If you can understand and read the Bible you can understand almost everything! It used to be the reading standard. I'm convinced, although I know that the world will argue with me, that when the Bible was thrown out of school that learning disabilities and reading problems began! It's God's word and it's so powerful! ❤

I don't necessarily think a person has to read the whole Bible every single year, but it is good for a Christian to get a good taste of all the various parts, and if we SAY we believe the Bible, it stands to reason that we should know what it says. .. It's not that hard. .. Following with a video helps me focus and stay on track. Almost a sort of accountability. ♥️

Next time someone says that, remind them that the early christians did not have their own copies of the scriptures. It would not have been possible before the printing press. The gospels and letters were read out to groups of listeners. So, it's fine to listen to the reading.

On the days I have my Bible with me, I underline with pencil portions that stand out to me, so I can go back later and look into it more and Google scriptures on that topic or just write my thoughts about that verse and how it relates to my life. Your mind will be filled with something. That is a fact over which you have no control. But you do have control over its contents, by controlling what you hear, see, read, and where you go (physically or electronically). That determines what you will think about, and how you think, which determines what/who you will be.

I read Bible from beginning to the end, at least one chapter a day and if it is possible more, because I want to get know Bible well.
When I study some book in the bible, I first read this book three times and make my own notes in the second Bible I have, where I put everything. When I am reading this book fourth time, I use my first Bible (which I read at least chapter a day and carry) choose notes and references I think I need from the second Bible and read some study Bible or Bible commentary with it. Currently I use NKJV Study Bible, full colour edition, among others. I also write everything down by hand on the paper.

In June finally decided could no longer put it off but couldn't find any of the pamphlets. Prayed GOD not let me continue putting it off. Started with Genesis & plan to read book by book. Not realizing this was all GOD's design. Didn't expect to get much out of Old Testiment besides history, but I was so wrong! Only through Leviticus now as there is a lot I didn't understand, but it has spoken to so many of my current issues & I can feel the healing taking place. Thank you, JESUS. Matching those two things have helped me remember better. I also take notes. I try to memorize my favorite verses too. There are apps that help with that. It recently occurred to me how different sections of the Bible present (and thus tweak and impact our mind) different depths.
Will mention two in particular. The OT which many need help with gives the bird's eye view of God's dealings with groups of people via the few well-known chosen individuals. Generally in broad strokes apart from the few characters who encountered God thus changing the greater main narratives.
In contrast, the Psalms get into the nitty gritty of the personal: deep emotions of betrayal, of loss, of confusion, of trusting in a God who delivers and of delight in God. Getting into bone and marrow of our days.

I have already read Genises and I think I read all of Exodus but I do plan on rereading the entire Bible all together after I finish the eye witness accounts. I try to read at least 4 pages a day. Something I can’t wrap my head around is how people claim to have read the Bible multiple times but still do not believe in Jesus or God even. I literally feel his presence in one way or another every time I open the Bible.

Amen Brother, a plan that was shown me in The Spirit, is when I wake up , I first look at the time and the time displayed, gives me a indication in my spirit , what Book or chapter and verse to read , so that I can be encouraged and washed at the same time by THE WORD , like for instance during the Day I will read New Testament, say the time is 12:27 Midday I was shown to read. 1John2:27 and in the evening I would read Old Testament like if the time is 9:54 I was shown because Hebrew is read from right to left I will get the chapter of tge Book that comes up in my spirit like Isaiah 54:9 and so on , because THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE COMFORTER AND THE TEACHER UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS, so stay blessed and stay focused on JESUS , Read John 15 alongside Ephesians 1:3-14 and understand that HE DID ALL THIS TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH you HIS CHILD BORN OUT OF HIM THROUGH CHRIST.

Read the bible everyday, and get a bible guide. The important thing is you are reading it everyday. I started with a bible from our family, those ones given out by random people who gives out bibles. I then started reading by chapter. But because a lot of times, its difficult to understand, I got a bible guide to help me read a scripture a day. Just do it doesnt matter where you start, the Lord will guide you. I am still in the process of instilling this habit and other good habits into my life. I have failed many times but I am glad I kept pushing everyday to read the bible. remember the devil will try hard fo ryou to NOT read it. Keep doing it coz the changes dont happen overnight it takes a long time and the changes are so subtlle

I love to read the Bible and know the Bible, I’m trying to write a book that maybe people will want to read to answer some of those questions and hopefully will move them forward to read the Bible for themselves it will have bible verses in the book and even some full chapters, I believe that the Bible is the living word of God Jesus Christ

Any recommendations when you come to horrifically difficult to read passages, particularly in the Old Testament, like when Lot offered his virgin daughters to the sexually immoral men in Sodom? Or does understanding come with time a repetition? I could see how this would cause lots of first time readers to stop. I stopped for a short time after the shock of reading of the Levite man cutting up his concubine who was raped to death, and then sending her body parts throughout Israel. Currently working on my fifth pass through the bible. I try to read different translations, sometimes side by side to clarify in the moment, to boost understanding. I will send this vid to my mother who says she had never really been much of a reader and pretty much on listens to sermon, like Charles Stanley, as good as he is.

One thing I’ve noticed after sitting an entire 3 plus hours it took to read the entire book of Revelations, I felt oddly hopeful and uplifted. It’s a mystery to me as to why this happened, but it’s true.
