I’m glad Godfrey pointed out how back then people had to physically leave their homes to go buy the album at a record store. There was no streaming. No ordering to be delivered to your home. You had to go out and search for that thing then purchase it before it was gone from your area. My sentiments EXACTLY Godfrey. I remember being a young girl falling in love with Michael and the Jacksons, primarily Michael. These constant comparisons are quite insulting. There's NO ONE that can enter in the same space as him. MTV at the time, didn't want to air his videos. Epic's president or owner threatened to pull all of the label's artists if they didn't and the rest is iconic history. As a small child in the late 80s, early 90s, I thought MJ was magic. Watching him in his music videos lighting up everything he touched and in movies him turning into robots, planes and cars, you couldn't tell me he wasn't mythical.
