  • The Peugeot 308 GT would have to be one of the best hatchbacks you can buy, but it does come at a price.

No doubt that’s a gorgeous car and I was considering the GT model but the price tag 🏷️ is too much

The non hybrid version is about $20,000 cheaper...

@@4wheelsandaseat I was considering its big brother the 508 SW, the price tag wasn't an issue for me, what was an issue for me however is the depreciation value in the GFV offered by Peugeot. For a $70 000 Peugeot, the GFV after 4 years and 80 000km will be just $20 000. Peugeot doesn't seem to value and stand by their own product if this is how they value their cars after 4 years. They either need to decrease their prices, or increase their GFV.

Thanks for the video! I thought the battery still assists in hybrid mode even though it is ‘empty’?

There may have been a setting that I did not find that would allow the battery to re-charge from the engine as a lot of plug-in hybrids do, but I could not make it work. Thanks for watching!

Stunning looking vehicle and interesting drive train albeit, shockingly let down due to the poor positioning of the steering wheel. Adjustment to said steering wheel is 90% for the purpose of allowing drivers to make their driving position more comfortable,10% to safely view the instruments. Not the other way around. A definite no to me.

It does take some getting used to and it's surprising how quickly you do.

for reference, i own the wagon version of the 308, the steering wheel was a concern before I got in one, but once you're in and adjusted comfortable its great, no blocking of the dials etc, everyone is different though, now i feel odd if I'm borrowing someone elses car with a big steering wheel haha

I have the 308 hatchback. I've had no trouble whatsoever with the steering wheel. In fact I prefer it to my other more traditional cars.
