    why is it interesting that we eat the pathetic animals (pity corner SCM animals)... a few minutes before fiske mentioned that the pity quadrant is ambivalent like "I like you until you stay below me" explains to me why we eat them

    Is this causal or correlational data? There is a difference.

      It's better to read the paper your own, usually the data is an answer that's hard to find conclusions on that works for everyone

      it was mostly correlational data.. even though it's not causal, it does support a causal hypothesis! There have been other studies done, however, that do test and confirm a causal relationship (both conncerning the stereotype -> behavior, and the emotion-> behavior relationship). I am reffering to the BIAS map, of course :) (i know i'm 4 years late, but do check it out if you're still interested)
