We would like to add that Buckley Yacht Design have now made the lifting bulb keel standard for all BTC-22s. So, even better performance and a lower keel-up draught!
Nice looking yacht. Boy the price for a 22 footer. It probably compares favourably to others in the same size but I must be out of touch. I’ll stick to good value used boats I think. Btw, great review. Andy UK
@@AndyUK-Corrival yeah I think it’s mostly down to the fact that is doesn’t cost much more in labour and materials to build an extra few feet at these sizes compared to 30ft+. That’s where the extra length adds a lot of cost to the build I think.
With the swingkeel it looks to me like the modern version of the good old Jaguar 22/ Catalina 22. Same type of swing keel, similar dimensions and weights, accomodations, trailerarability. Downwind my old Jaguar 22, my first boat, used to surf the waves with up to 12 knots. Hullspeed 6 Knots.
Yes it's going to be pricey to buy a new one but the cost of ownership is going to be so much lower than a larger used boat. For a start therell be very little maintenance for the first 10 years, a small outboard engine is cheaper to buy and maintain, no need to pay for a crane or tractor, no plumbing to maintain etc etc. A quick simple way to get on the water and potential for overnight cruising. Note: I don't work for these guys, just interested in the concept and thinking of buying one.
Hiya Alex Could you review a beneteau 210 first early model ? do you know much about these please ? I’m thinking about purchasing one for the summer thanks mate
Won’t be able to review one before you get a boat but from what I have heard they seem like good boats to sail in coastal waters. The main thing when buying a boat is checking every inch!

Great review Alex. What a fabulous looking boat, light and fast.
Thank you!
Great looking boat
Nice video Alex! You're getting even better at these!
Cool review of a superb piece of British ingenuity and boat-building.
Cheers to that!
Nice :) great review, thanks
Another informative review. Good to see this innovative little sport boat.
Thanks Mark!

Thanks Andy!
@@AlexGoesSailing I suppose when you think a new Gull dinghy is around £10k and a Flying 15 nearer £30k it shows the huge outlay if buying a new boat.

Will u get a boat like this sooner or later? Or would u go for a bigger non tralerable boat?
The next one is trailerable and you will find out soon enough as to what it is!
What is the core in the cabin construction ? Balsa or plastic ?
It’s all PET core for hull and deck but best to check with the builder.
