- This build is basically finished!!! We are wrapping up all of the little things and everything is looking so good. The best part would have to be the 1886forged wheels that we put on the g63. This build is so close to being fully finished and we hope that the limp mode isnt nothing too crazy! Thanks For Watching!!!

limp mode isn't because of the alignment, you've got 1 or more cylinders misfiring
You can clearly hear the misfire. It sounds bad, you guys need to stop driving it until this is figured out. My guess is bent valve or bent rod from oil in the motor after roll over and trying to start it with oil in the cylinder

I agree with the suggestion of getting the GWagon to the dealer. They can identify the issue and get this bad boy running! Nice work getting the G Wagon looking good.
may as well fix the whole car at the dealership, why bother having a rebuild channel.

@@vadim7590may as well not make any comments. What you failed to see is that they have all of it finished. They do not know how to fix the engine issue. Bring that to someone who can. They had V-Tune in to assist with the framework. Now have the Mercedes Tech see if the engine can run right. Stop watching if you cannot be more positive. Now sit in the corner and be quiet.

That's what the limp mode is for, it doesn't let you rev it past 3k and it revs slower than normal.

Did you guys forget that the first house on top of the mountain was only put up as the first owner's granny apartment so he could have a place to move his elderly mom into. His main house was meant to be constructed at a ninety degree angle to that little house and possibly connect via the garage with a walkway. At least that's what you explained to us OGs way back then. You basically turned that lot's tiny one+den/bedroom guest cottage into the sole house on the main (highest) lot. Hopefully, you complete the compound in the future by properly building out that first lot for the parents.

Absolutely wasn't suggesting their 'rents move into that existing tiny guest home. Since I don't stalk them, I have no idea what they moved into. I just knew they sold and moved. Some seniors just do a condo apartment thing for ease of maintenance and let the next generation take over the big holiday entertaining of the full family.

At the same time, I am not some fanboy who needs to repeatedly brag a false claim of "First comment" or make copycat posts of adoration to a couple of grown men like a Swifty reaching out to their Goddess Taylor. I *would* gladly concede that you likely watched more than I did. I mostly skim through their stuff at 5x speed these last few years, TBH. All I wanted to convey was that I remembered what they told us at the start of that project. I did start viewing the channel very early in an irregular way. I'm not a boasting fan at all - just someone who was around long enough to witness them and their channel evolving. Also, they sometimes stated plans and then never acknowledged them again.
Carry on with your pwnage if you must though... I think that's what you jock-riders still call it.

So the codes are related to the VVT (variable valve timing)solenoids. They are electric and hydraulic controlled by engine oil. Have y'all changed the oil? If oil is contaminated, low, dirty, wrong weight, etc any of this can cause these codes, I'd recommend changing oil and filter first and if that doesn't fix, and wiring to them is ok, replace them.
Yeah, what happens is the mercedes cam advance uses oil pressure to push a locking pin. Once that locking pin dosent have the right pressure it dosent engage all the way and it elongates the hole it sets in. Consequently this causes the motor to run with the wrong cam profile. If one bank had this failure and not the other, it will reek havoc on the motor.
they changed the oil....
They are too dumb to do that.

You’ve done a fantastic job of bringing the Mercedes back. If you have a bent rod, your in danger of permanently damaging the block by running it. Just add another couple of videos for the engine, you’ll get more views because We love it.
Surely they’re reading these comments!! And surely they know that the engine is misfiring and not just in “limp” mode
I agree. I don't know why they need to rush it. This was a good build they should just take their time and figure out the problem. I am curious to know what it is.

Use your scanner ...go to live data.. see and watch the timing. See if it is reading right or no signal.. might be bad cam solenoids causing it to not work on those or possible cam phasers stuck from when it rolled over

Just like they finish all of the vehicles one hundred percent. Half of the cars they work on would not be one piece if it wasn't for V Tune.
I’d limit how much y’all run the Mercedes. Check the wiring in the engine bay. One may have been pinched. The cam phaser, sensor, or solenoid could have been damaged when it was wrecked

These guys don't know what a "cam phaser" is, much less what it does and where it's located. They have very limited knowledge of the internal workings of automobile engines.

Could be just the spark plugs oiled up from when it turned over. It's looking really good 👍🏻

It looks great guys. But it sounds like a bag of spanner’s at the moment. Maybe once you get it out of limp mode it will improve.

I love the color and I love how amazing this truck looks. The new rims and tires are the icing and cherry on top of the G-wagon cake. LOL. I agree that the red calipers look better and tie in perfectly with the red on the rim caps. But overall EXCELLENT JOB !!!! I have to admit this build rates up there with TOP 5 AWESOME BUILDS: the Black Challenger, the Black Corvette, the Blue S500, the Blue ZL1-1LE, and the Track Hawk. I can't wait to see the Maroon Ford Diesel truck and the White Ram.

Great build guys, G wagon looks geart and those rimms suits the car perfectly. Limp mode can also be caused because of a misfiring fuel injector.
I am curious if Elizar will have well or again go with a cistern like at Simon's beautiful home! I remember the difficulty from the well at the original house on the mountain. Since you own a large piece, find a place to drill a large well and put in your own water system.....looks like you can afford it!

Try swapping the solenoid to another cam, clear the fault and see if it follows.

You need to get the downpipe coded into the g63 because its aftermarket. Needs tuned

I'd definitely say that the engine is out of its timing, maybe a chain guide or something snapped or misaligned in the impact, to be honest it sounds terrible and you will be amazed how dardy (Aussie for awesome) it will sound when you get the timing corrected.

Unplugging the cam sensor is only gonna make it worse ... anything you do to it needs to be followed by a clear out of all codes with scan tool..
Not true. The mercedes ecu is extremely intuitive. Once the problem Is fixed the computer will recognize that it's working properly and "reset" itself..

I am assuming the timing chain jumped when it was rolled over, I had a Audi that was rolled over with very similar codes and symptoms as the G wagon, I would check that! Great video!!

You guys need to put new coil packs in it. Hopefully then it will be running on all cylinders. I would also put new spark plugs. Can’t keep running her on 3 cylinders 😂

The check engine light would be flashing and it probably would more likely be a sparkplugs on a car that's been upside down (but probably fix itself as the engine heated up) but ether way you could smell the exhaust when it first starts before the cats heat up. There is a good chance it's the camshaft position sensor.
