Well done Dad. The ONLY man NOT gas bagging and actually doing the "work" !! Thanks for sharing. From New Zealand. Well done all. I have enjoyed watching this. Cheers.
When doing compression testing you should always pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it until the number stops going up
yes was cringing a bit lmao
Oh these Dudes don't need any Advice there 10 Steps Ahead of US
They didn't crank it up after that number because it was sounding even worse than before hence they stopped.
@@scaleadventures9018 No they didn't stop. They show two attempts. Normal procedure is to pull the fuel pump fuse and remove all sparkprlugs. That way, is the starter not fighting compression in the cylinders, and you are not squirting unburnt fuel into your catalytic converters. It's very basic.
They are good at fixing exteriors, but basic engine skills seems to be lacking a bit.
and take all the plugs out as well. Not so easy on a diesel.
Dam guys what a beautiful AMG. Billy, that clear you dropped is glossy. Outstanding work
Shout out to pop’s for being there for his family.
Why does it sound so loud I thought those engines were less loud
@Los526 they put aftermarket muffler :(
Happy for you guys!!! I was a tad worried....
Next time on doing compression tests, just pull all spark plugs and let it turn over freely until the gauge stops climbing.
Love the wheel/tire choice!!!
They need to remove fuel pump fuse or fuel will spray everywhere as well.
"We might be doing more damage as we're running this thing...." said EVERY other poster on every one of these videos...while watching the thing get started and revved 15 times a video...LOL. It's better to be lucky that good...hehe. These guys are the luckiest on the planet.... ;-)
Wish me luck guys, few days ago I bought my first rebuild.
All the best brother, you've got this! ❤
@@charleskanyangi7040 thank you!
What you get
Yeah what did you got man?
Man I’m sure all the people in the comments know what they are talking about, but there’s just something about trial and error over and over until you find the problem and finding the problem and fixing it that is just so satisfying! You guys are really living the dream haha keep at it!
Once again you boys done another amazing build. Awesome dude love it. 👍💯
I am so glad that you guys figured it out! YAY!
Cool 😎 . Glad you guys are problem solvers and don’t give up !
Well done boys!
Simon was hitting on ALL cylinders in this video! I'm going to cry!!! And - so new no one let one go!!! Classic!
Congrats on getting it out of limp mode - well done!
God, she is BEAUITFUL!! You guys did a GREAT job putting her back together.
Love these guys man, stay determined to find a solution. The gratification is beautiful at the end of a build
Way to go guys! So glad the sensor brought it to life! Now you can enjoy the G Wagon for a long long time!
Still think you guys should give this one to pops , he is your biggest supporter and he deserves it for all his running around and assisting you boys .
Man that build was fast and came out perfect congrats guys y’all the man’s 💪🏼🔥🔥
I liked this more than I would expect, pretty sick ride. Please make sure to include some before footage in the final video, makes such a bigger impact to see where you started and where you ended.
I told you ages ago it weren't no bent valves. Also when compression testing, pull the fuel pump fuse and put a battery tender on the battery when doing this.
congratulation guys for your hardwork and Paps being there ,family togetherness, and a very nice G wagon build.
Really awesome 😎 glad you guys figured it out. 👍🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Well a scanner got the issue
Looks nice guys! Sounds so much better now too!
One sensor ! Tough on tthe brain to figure it all out but super stoked to see ya all got it out of limp mode ! Runs a whole lot better dudes !
Awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
This is a sick build guys!
Honestly one of my favorite builds on the channel since the Camaro and the Porsche.
Wow, the paint job looks perfect.
Them wheel and tire set up looks great on the G wagon.
Sounds like it was built to sound! MB-awesome paint color!
That is a beautiful piece of machinery and y'all are awesome
“We dont want to run it cause it might damage the engine”… proceeds to rev and race it up and down the road while still broke
You need to disable the engine from starting when doing a compression test. You can unplug the coil and pull the relay for fuel pump. And pull all the plugs that way that way the engine can spin faster. I figured it was something simple. Good job.
Ah yes revving a cold engine ! Nothing can go wrong
Its edited.
Love your videos keep them coming
I'm glad you've got it figured out it looks good now
Good job guys, you such a talent!
In love with it...exhausts sound killer
amazing guys! happy for you!! keep it up!! peace!
you boys need to pull all the spark plugs when doing a compression test. if you pull one at a time you will not get a proper reading because pressure can enter or escape between cylinder. also pull your fuel pump fuse, you don’t want it to start.
Those idiots cannot use any equipment they have
they wo'n't listen to you. jacked up VIN tag says it all lol
I would find the recommended Mercedes compression test procedure. The spark plugs should normally be removed, along with cutting fuel. One of my cars needs the fuel injectors turned off or the car run with the relay removed until it stalls.
@@boogball4699 they don't care.
Lol you don't pull all the plugs.
Awesome job guys. Shout to pops. Love watching feel like family .
Glad yall got it all figured out. Man those wheels really take it to a whole nother level. Looks sooooo good 😍
GWagon came out looking mint! 👌
Those wheels look fantastic on the G I love those things
Right on Guys that G Wagon is looking good! I would also be so cool to see a video on the Porsche with maybe a road test on it! Looking forward to the next video!
Great job! Great news! Fantastic channel! 💕👍😊🙏
Nice rebuild looks good,Great choice of wheel's and tire's it does look like it need's an alignment
Good job guys. Much respect to Pops. It's always to see him in the house.
Incredible job. Y'all fixed it. Amazing
Haven't been here for a while (building a home :) now coming back, seeing how great you guys advanced and how awesome Pops looks and is into your work makes me genuinely happy!
You guys have come a long way. The quality of your work is really solid. Glad to see the G63 is sorted. I hope one of your wives gets to enjoy it as a daily driver. Same with the Uris.
Nope they will park it in a field with all the others
@@kred3208 That would be just sad. I hope that isn't the case.
@eclifton4070 it's what happened to all the others so why would this one be any different
Does anyone know what happened with the R8? Did I miss an episode?
still at sheepy as far as I know@@cliffordaugustus9646
Glad you boys got the limp mode fixed 😅
The more I see that color.. man it’s absolutely stunning. Great job
That colour really is something else... The G-wagon came out beautifully... Im glad to see it out of limp mode... Much respect guys
Bruh ain’t no way you just did a compression test with the fuel still plugged in lucky the car didn’t burst into flames 😂
Um what???
First thing you do before doing a compression test is to pull the fuel pump fuse or relay. You don't want the engine to start when you crank
@@AMLagonda The fuel injectors being cut off prevents raw fuel from washing down the cylinder walls, and causing damage, as well as producing a false reading of the cylinders compression and these 2 goofs probably flooded the engine with fuel causing pre detonation could cause it burst into flames you must not work around modern cars
@@AMLagonda this is kinda common knowledge but apparently not common enough
I am surprised they didnt pull the fuel pump relay, (well not really lol) but it wont "bust into flames"
You go guys, please dont forget to paint FR calipre 😀😀😀 though I wouldn't mind driving it as it is
Nice wheels awesome you got it running right.
As always another amazing restoration, now since you have an AMG consider some weistec upgrades and a tune !!!!! That will wake this beast up easy 100+HP
Motor is good thank God you guys figured it out and saved 50k on a new motor, I knew you guys would figure it out. 💙💛💪
Nice piece of work guys!!
"There is ALWAYS a way around things" 👍 You guys sure are great at it!
Congrats on getting the engine sorted an those wheels look GREAT! Love the Gunmetal lip.
if you want more power get with eurocharged performance. they are one of the best mercedes tuners in the us. also when you do a compression test you are suppose to pull all the spark plugs and the fuel pump fuse. then check each cylinder be cranking the engine until you get a max reading on the gauge. all cylinders should be within 10%.
My Favorite channel I watch everything you guys put out..🔥
I have never seen Elazar look so worried than when Simon got off the phone with the dealer. 🥺But he pulled up his britches, tighten his shoes, and made it happen. He said I'm that dude. Believe me when I say this.......Elazar you are a great mechanic! Bro, if I lived in Tennessee, I'd take my car to you any day. Or I would work for you, you are truly the epitome of motivation. Not to take anything away from Simon, you guys are a great compliment of each other. For anyone watching this.....IYKYK
Your supposed too disable the vehicle from starting when tyou do a compression test, and crank it until your compresion guage stops climbing
They know now. Lol
@@David-ui8ko clearly they didn’t these 2 dudes have to be some of the most non mechanically inclined automotive UA-camrs around
@@David-ui8kothey didnt
@@Notdb1gabe I missed the part where they mentioned this was a tutorial. The people who watch and enjoy this are here for VLOG style videos not to actually learn how to fix a wrecked car.
@@cristalteardrop dick riding without a license is crazy 😂
next time yall do a compression test, unplug the fuel pump relay XD youll thank me later!
I love how you guys are really making it look easy to do this
Awesome! glad you found the sensor
Hey! it would be great to see some before / after shots at the end of a series. just some quick impressions on how bad the damage was at the beginning.
*A Compression test kit is also very helpful when diagnosing a vacuum leak or EGR related issue with clogged hoses or valves etc*
WOWW so cool thanks SCAMMER CLOWN@visit-Profile
Amazed at the progress, way to go!!!!
Got to be happy with that result
What a machine it is 👍👍
How the heck did u guys find that broken part !!!!! 👍 good job
Always start with the small stuff. Sensors, plugs, etc.
Can we get a update on the Porsche and Audi R8. I been watching you guys since the mustang build in your parents driveway. You guys are great to watch.
The Arabian Gray paint looks awesome. The sound completes it. Compliments!
God bless you all for getting it figured out and fixed Amen
@visit-Profile Hi buds how you doing how's everything going you guys do such a good job and everything you do it's so glad you figured it all out you did a good job on this one and all the other ones God bless you guys Amen
@visit-Profile Hi guys how you doing how's everything with you guys how's the day treating you you guys did a good job on that g wagon and everything that you work on you guys do a great job on it God bless you guys I'm so happy for you
Unbelievable the amount of work you guys have done with this build 👏🏻
My suggestion is at the end of each build series do a compressed video called “rebuilding a wrecked (blank) in 10 minutes”. Not only would those generate lots of views, but we would also like seeing a summery of the last few months of videos we’ve been watching.
That thing sounds freaking awesome! Love it...
Personally i would take that exhaust off and make a bird feeder out of it….other then that awesome job boyz
They all sound like this
Yes, we have a Tuesday video after the Sunday video... I really hope we have the normal uploads again! They were fun to watch
agree. like before.
You get them when ya get them.
😮@@jerrywilcox9890
Quality of the videos have been way up because they upload when they want. Before it was quantity over quality
the best feeling, when you find the issue.. congrats boys
This is why I like the channel; you brothers are not afraid of a challenge. You got that Sucker poppin! I must say Mercedes is my favourite car, I owned two so far!
@visit-Profile Really, how do I get it?
i absolutely love this channel and the builds 😍❤️
Well done , the car is immaculate keep it up
Love this build but that exhaust sounds like burnt ass.
A real beauty , great job boys
Absolutely crispy 😂😂definitely dude!!!
You guys killed it, love it and would like to purchase if it's for sale!!! LMK
You boys should drop in some portal axles - it’ll be killer offroad after that!
Like the Brabas G wagon
I would SO daily drive this rig. This is right up there with the Porsche as my favorite builds. It is stunning.
Beautiful vehicle guys, nice job
Ficou top🇧🇷
Glad the engine is good. You should take a good look at the engine and transmission mounts. Check for cracks. The engine was upside down at one time.
Amazing work. 👍
Pops car. Excelent project, congratulations!
i think it's a keeper! Let's see some epic modes init . Will done guys! Happy to see you getting more knowledge through.
Peace from Palestine 🙏🇵🇸
Yay, I was right. Just a tip, newer cars if you hold down the gas then turn the key it will cycle the engine and not start so you can cycle oil after a change or do compression tests without starting the motor
Is the bs. Or you for real?
@@axlespeedshop3491 it’s a real thing I found out about maybe a year ago. I have a ‘15 Lincoln mkz and it worked on mine, a buddys ‘20 Subaru wrx does it along with many others. I don’t know if all do it, but most newer ones will. It doesn’t hurt to try it

What are boys do you know? Great job. Keep up the good work.
That G wagon looks good, great jobs guys
It sounds like a G Wagon now very nice congrats guys fixing it that’s one of my dream cars I’ve had a Hummer, Stealth Rt , Jeep Sahara and many more but I’m getting one one day I changed the camshaft sensors and a crankshaft sensor on my Jeep myself and changed them on my Hyundai Tucson my timing chain was stretched on my Jeep took it to the dealership for that after that engine light stayed off these car computers be messing us over sometimes too👍
