WOW thanks for sharing. I MISS the earthquake on the tour. I also thought I saw Back to the Future 2 set? I know it came out in 89 so maybe the set was still up. Also many good films being mentioned that are NEVER told of on the tour today.
I think they're trying to keep things relevant for today's youth which makes me laugh since they still mention "Murder She Wrote" on the tour despite that show falling waaaaayyy out of cultural relevance. I'm sure copyright complicates it all but I wish there was a better mix of cultural impact for the historic greats mixed with whatevers trendy. I gotta laugh whenever they bring up "Princess Diaries 2" on the tram tour since that movie is meaningless and has no reach outside of Disney channel viewers from 2004.
I was on a tram at Universal Studios in July of 1990 and my dad filmed it on his big camcorder at the time that was on VHS but I don't think he posted his footage anywhere and I remember all of those locations and rides in the tram. I had a pretty long mullet and wore a white tank top there and it looked like me in this video for a few seconds.
Nice footage of the tour and park shows along with your interactions with Groucho Marx, wonder what they were filming that day on the lot? What was your favorite part of that day at Universal?
The 90s were a special time.. its because the people were different
you got the Magnum PI show on video? this is quality vintage studious, thank you!
