My mom worked in Universal since day 1, so it's always been a part of my life. My dad soon got a job there and then my brother and myself were both hired at the same time! 20 years later we're all still proud team members of Universal! It's been a 2nd home to me, and I honestly can't imagine working anywhere else!
I really appreciate my parents for taking me so many times, because it was a great time to be a kid in the 90s at Universal. Also, with how popular Beetlejuice always was and with another new movie coming out, I feel like they should bring back the Graveyard Revue.
I was there opening year and every year after, which is why I can say with a fair degree of confidence that 90s Universal Studios was, as you stated, absolutely peak performance Universal. Cheers.
@@glauciarochelle Sounds like none of you guys have heard of Epic Universe, or any of the practical effects-based rides Universal has been doing for the past half a decade now, lol.
U R correct it was my favorite time at the parks I live in Florida now & I can’t wait for Epic Universe 👍🏻hope to have u see us again Twister, earthquake & T2 my fav it would be great if Universal added a legacy ride section in one there parks
The opening year or first few months at least the park was a nightmare. Most of the physical rides kept breaking down except for Hanna Barbera, and possibly Earthquake. it took years to get Jaws working obviously and even when we queued up for a long time for ET the moment we were about to go inside a pipe broke in the ceiling and they had to shut the ride. It was so bad, on the way out they were giving everyone tickets to come back again at a later date. At that point we genuinely thought that the park might not stay open hehe
59:44 This Earthquake attraction in my opinion can return as a Halloween Horror Nights 2025 attraction as Earthquake: Platform 13 but unlike the movie the subway station was abandoned by an earthquake with dreaded walls and jump scares even with a train horn
Loved this video Dave, I'm also from the UK in Kent 😀 However you said chances were very slim of you going there because you lived in the UK-that rather confused me as plenty of transport to get you to other countries lol Was waiting for th defunct: The Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter. But never came lol Also the way you pronounced: Intamin made me chuckle soooo much 😂🤣🤣
OMG! Such nostalgia! Hard to believe the only remaining classic is ET🥲 I hope it never closes. From what I've heard Spielberg threatened to cut ties with Universal if they did and I'm right there with him. KEEP ET OPEN!!!
Amazing video… only 2 min in and already 10/10 A+
John, Glad you liked it 👍

The Universal I loved! If only they had that creativity now instead of just screen ride after screen ride 🥲
Same. I haven't been back since the night they closed Jaws.
in the 80s and 90s: ghostbusters hanna babera jaws back to the future
and in the now days: illumination and dreamworks only

Quality content sir thank you for the memories. Still absolutely insane that they used to drive a tram car through pedestrian traffic 😂
Your welcome
I took my little nephew on the Earthquake ride - he literally pooped himself. Thanks for the remind of a very funny memory.

Only ONE remains: E.T. Adventure

Maybe do past attractions for Disney World?
Cameron, You've read my mind 👍
@@DisneyDave And just some other suggestions, past attractions for Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood?
@@cameronboushehri9423 great idea, it could be a whole series 👍
@@DisneyDave If you can find the footage, that is.
@@cameronboushehri9423 that’s very true 👌

I believe the video has to be a mash of different time periods because it shows twister and the Psycho house as being in the park at the same time.
Your right Frank, this was a compilation put together of all the original rides and attractions
You forgot Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster and Curious George Goes To Town!
Does anyone remember the Beethovens 2nd gift shop?
