It was a Korean MMO so IDK if they were. But yeah it is inspired. I wish they turned some of them into official characters if only so we could see more of the Human (Saiyan Descendant) and Namekian.
The art and animation style of the new dragonball super movie revealed in the latest trailer reminds me a lot of this CG art and animation style of DB online
I remember part of the plot that I got from the trailers was that they could go back in time to see Goku and the others. Aside from that I think the implication is that the characters are all descendants from the cast, at least the two we see fighting are most likely since they mirrored Goku and Piccolo.
Well some of the old characters are still alive like Krillin leading the Turtle School and Tenshinhan leading the Crane School (and the Announcer who was wished to be immortal for the tournament I think), but yeah mostly it's "the next generation".
First time seeing this intro,and it definitely looks like someone loves the Namekians as much as I do. If you thought a fight with a Namekian was gonna be easy,expect an all out WAR to be coming towards you.
I think that particular Namekian is a Dark Namekian. Some of the Namekians when they settled on Earth, set up where Demon King Piccolo's throne used to be and were corrupted by his lingering essence.
Okay since no one made this joke after the tournement both of the contenders were disqualified for causing the death of all the peopel in the stand and were both later sued
what a waste for a game with great potential, imagine so much more content the developer could add into an already excellent masterpiece, the concept of the game is really well presented throughout the whole gaming experience

@@LinceSenseiNah there were humans just all of the playable ones were descended from Saiyans. It didn’t matter much in game, because to go SSJ you needed to ask Shenron and according to the lore, most humans are Saiyan Descendants anyway in the future.
I ain’t gonna lie, if they upgrade the graphics and add a lot more customization features, they could bring this game back and it’d be very popular in the dragon ball community. I mean sure they may need to update the story line for super and stuff but I feel as thou it’d be an amazing game to play with friends

I wish Xenoverse took more inspiration from this game. The world feels more alive like they’re actually in the future. Plus it had more villains than just Towa and Mira. If Xenoverse had more RPG elements like Kakarot, and there was a progression system like going from Dragon Ball to Z levels of fights it would be the next game ever, and they wasted it by simply retelling Z, GT, and Super.

Podrá haber pasado todo un tiempo o una década y aún así no puedo dejar de acordarme cuando jugué por primera vez este juego ,las personas que conocí y con las que entable buenas amistades ,la verdad este sí es un juego que para mí se lleva todo mi respeto y cariño . Ojalá llegarán a sacar una nueva versión con más contenido para consolas de sobremesa .

@@franciscosalinas9118 bueno realmente lo que paso es que se lleno de jugadores americanos y extranjeros cuando el juego que a su vez ahuyentaron a muchos jugadores chinos con decirte que para el año en el que cerro el juego era mas facil encontrar un mexicano que a un chino y el sistema de pago estaba centrado en china y korea lo que hacia que el contenido de paga no funcionara para los jugadores extranjeros que se apropiaron del server ya que era un desmadre pagar por cash. recuerdo que un amigo bastante mayor que yo en esa epoca lo hizo, era trabajoso y tuvo que hacer movimientos en el banco para hacerlo. honestamente creo que es el mejor mmo que he jugado y jugue a 4 hasta que me aburrieron, ademas de aion ninguno era tan estupida e innesesariamente abierto como este, no te sentias limitado de a donde podias ir y volar era un plus enorme, podias tomar una parte y decir "hey vamos a juntarnos aca" y te apropiabas de una pequeña parte detras de una montaña para luchar o aprovechar la teletransportacion para juntar a todos en una zona usando la teleportacion inversa de la pet, te sentias sorprendentemente libre en ese juego en especial por que fuera de las dungueons y las maquinas del tiempo viajar no nesesitaba pantallas de carga, estaba desbalanceado y los nameks estaban rotos especialmente cuando quitar las potas de fighters... era hermoso TTwTT

Near the end they did so much right I think. I know its 13 years old now but love how they did the quick time faster than the eye can see fighting and I am a fan of the more fluid formed beam battle.
This had so much potential. If it wasn't bogged down by MMO combat and gameplay...somewhere between this and Xenoverse is my dream Dragon Ball game; one with your own created character, an original plot, and exploration, but with fast paced and fun combat.
Xenoverse is an excellent spiritual successor, at least for the whole Time patroller plot element. It has however the whole adventurous first-DB/Dragon-Quest side missing.

With the way all the effects were done with the 2d aesthetic and those screen effects at the end with the beam clash..... This looks an awful lot like cc2. Like alot alot. Very close to kakarot honestly.
