I'm not Wiccan or pagan but I look forward to your videos. Connecting with nature and living in rhythm with the seasons is something I feel in my soul but has been missing from my busy city lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. I look forward to incorporating these gems into my summer cooking and putting them into the summer garden (it's winter in Australia) 💜
Am so happy when I see you have apploaded a new video 🤩🥰 they are so relaxing with a magic twist 😉 I follow you on both of your channel and they always make my day. Bisous 😘
New to your channel and half way through this video im crying. This whole video has brought many memories of my Nana... She was known for making a green tea with basil, mint, rose and whatever berry she had on hand. Typically raspberry or blueberry. She would brew it with all the herbs and tea add a bit of sugar then set it aside to cool , muddled the berries a lil in a glass added ice and poured the tea in.... It was the most refreshing thing on a hot summer day.
I have multiple chronic illnesses and peppermint is an absolute staple for me. I can't live without it. Piping hot peppermint tea is my magical nausea cure.
Please, make more recipe videos! I just love the wave of inspiration every time i get whenever i see you incorporating herbs into the cookery and can't wait to re-create them. Thank you!
I didn't know about the Basil helping with digestive system, but knew about peppermint. I use it a lot in tea because of my stomach problems and it is amazing the relief I feel as soon as I start drinking it. I was quite lucky that my tiny garden (in my balcony) started growing peppermint out of nowhere, just as my stomach problems started.
Oh wow beautiful choice of herbs! I love rose, especially for baking purposes but I absolutely adore basil! It grows so easily and fast in Greece and we keep different types of basil all around the house for protection. I add basil into most meals because I know it enriches the food (magically and non-magically) in such a unique way! When I'm in Germany I use plenty of peppermint however. I suffer from IBS and peppermint works so goddamn good to relieve me of the pain and bloating, absolute must have for me! Beautiful video!
I’m in Canada and we have such a short growing season that my mission this summer has been to preserve as much basil as humanly possibly in order to not go through “basil withdrawal” during the long winter 🤣
@@artofgould1945 Oh my god I know exactly what you mean!! I take as much dried basil I can from my home in Greece to never run out when I'm stuck in Germany xD It's such an essential magically and non-magically!
I absolutely love all of your videos, and as an artist, I find both the subject and the video editing incredibly inspiring! I’m on the path of learning herbology as well and am so grateful for all of the knowledge you share ❤️ never change Annie
I am love love loving your channel. I have been on my witchy pagan path for 3 years and sometimes I dont feel connected but when I listen to your videos they are so magical xx
So happy to see you making videos again, just watched your new one on your other channel as well 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I was diagnosed 30 years ago with 3rd stage hiatus hernia/acid reflux (meaning the valve at the base of my esophagus was completely eroded. Peppermint is okay for most gastric situations, but both my years of experience and herbal studies do point out there is a contraindicator for those who suffer some stomach issues. peppermint can actually relax the sphincter muscle which closes off the stomach from the esophagus. This can cause stomach acid to pour back into the esophagus and make heartburn or GERD worse. It helped me a lot when I started my studies and began researching not just benefits, but contraindicators as well. I hope it’s okay to add this, hopefully it might help anyone with acid reflu, heartburn, crones or gerd watching along 🙏🏽🤗
On your other channel this evening, I heard you say that your name is Annabel. My mother's name was Annabelle, a name I rarely hear. I am a Dianic Witch and have practiced my craft for more than two decades. Blessed be, Annabel...your videos are precious and I am enjoying them very much - Tamara
I made peppermint tea for my mom the other day when her stomach was upset. She tried to protest but later was impressed that it helped calm things down 🍃
i didnt know basil could be used for these things, over the past week ive gotten really interested in all of this and picked some mint and rosemary to dry in my room, definitely going to go pick some basil tonight now as well :)
Lovely video! I just love to make rose sugar in early summer to use throughout the year and my faaaavourite summer herb is basil (especially in a watermelon and feta cheese salad 🤤)
Love all the Herbs you mentioned 💚 I drink peppermint tea Constantly 🍵 I always use rose for self love bath spells 🌹 Beautifully filmed love your aesthetic 💕
I agree on the peppermint for any gastric issues. I have Crohn's and I use it all the time. I also love it for my migraines. I feel like a candy cane when I have the oil on.
I’m struggling with drying the flowers I’m growing, I try to keep them looking perfect. I know I need to get over the aesthetics of it but it’s definitely challenging my ocd. Thank you for your videos. A dedicated video to how you dry and preserve/store the herbs you harvest would be amazing... I tried to find one, I’m sorry if I missed it.
Thank you for this beautiful knowledge especially during a time when the world is walking away from our traditions and becoming more detached from Mata “ Mother Earth “ and the beautiful connection we once had. I enjoy your energies and it resonates via the video thank you for helping us to reconnect with the divine spirit and speak our truth as we try and walk together in harmony with Earth she needs our help she is crying. Due to the covid-19 pandemic I have been stranded in India in Goa on a beach and found myself giving back daily to Mother Earth by beach cleaning and helping her breath again the plastic waste and pollution is so sad but feel blessed to give back. I look forward to seeing more of your videos much love and blessings 🙏💕🦋
I relate so much to your craft. My partner and I just moved to Oregon to be closer to nature and reconnect with the Earth. I love being here and have since gotten into my practice. Your house is beautifully decorated and I love how soothing your videos are. Thanks for educating and spreading your light with the world. 🥰
Can you do a video on how you keep your house clean and do all the normal chores while balancing spending time doing the things you love like this? Especially with animals what is your cleaning routine and schedule to keep dust and the animal hair clear? ❤
Very interesting I did grow my own basil. It's out in the fire escape. I live in a city. And I have seen some mint around the block. Thanks for explaining all the benefits these hens have to offer.
Only 1 Word Description needed "Fantastical"😇 NVM I need to say one more thing Your Voice is so much like a Goddess, your voice is so peaceful and elegant....... Wait not just your voice your whole vibe and aura is Calming
Ugh, I want to live by nature. A forest, specifically would be nice. I do have a garden space in my backyard. I may have to give growing some of these a go next spring.
we're planning to make a type of rose pickle called gulkand, and it's layered rose petals with sugar and it's canned and you can only do it with super fragrant rose petals, so I'm excited. I also love harvesting my bluberry bushes, but this week's harvest has been ruined by the heat :(
I have been studying and using pelargonium a lot this summer. There are so many variety’s and I have been collecting scented ones with scents like lemon, rose, pine, oak, chocolate and cola. You can make tea with them and they have healing property’s. You can use them in tinctures or in aroma therapy. I can really recommend getting some! They are easy to care for and they have the most beautiful blooms 🥰
I have been in love with roses for ever... I have been playing with hawthorn, i learnt today they are a member of the rose family. We collected the berries to make tincture and syrup... would love to see a hawthorn berry syrup being made
I’m a bit late to this. Do you have a video on that strawberry danish/tart that you topped with basil? That looks incredible. Your videos are beautiful, soothing and informative. Love all you do
Love this ❤️❤️❤️ can you tell us about how to forage for herbs? I want to try finding them instead of buying them, but don’t know where/how to collect them! i’m also afraid of eating something poisonous on accident lol
I love these choices. It makes me miss peppermint though. I love the flavor but it triggers migraines for me so I've had to stop using it. I'd love to hear more about herbs you use for stomach issues. I have severe chronic stomach issues (no diagnosis yet) and would love to try using more herbs for relief instead of taking as many medications as I do. Meds are definitely helpful and I'm grateful for them but I'd like to take less if I can. :)
SO informative--thank you for sharing. Did you make some sort of salve at the end (pouring into the small tin)? If so, could you share the recipe and uses? Thank you again for making my day so lovely after listening to your calm voice. Blessed Be!
Girl I'm begging you to do a video about spells and rituals to do in nature or in the woods or that involve nature or just magick tools that you can find in the woodsssss
Thankyou for this video. It's Imbolc here in Australia and I planted my first Wormwood and Pennyroyal. So excited! I have other culinary herbs but other than white sage, these are my first witchy herbs 😊
