I just bought this bike yesterday and I absolutely love it. Wanted to get back into BMX as well since the last time I rode was back in middle school - high school. I'm 37 by the way lol.
@@btheking8733 I really like mine! For a complete, out of the box, race bike, I think it's great! I changed the handlebars and put a 45 tooth chainring on it, but that's it. I've been to a dozen races on it and it has performed very well.. I also have the 24" cruiser version and I love it, too.. gearing and bars are the only changes..
Nice review man. I'm 48, looking to get back on the track. Like you, I was mt. biking, but got burned out on the long drives to the trails, etc. Thinking I'm going to pick up the RedLine MX24.
@@tgags050 Is it fast? Have you rode it any distance? Wife just got a mtb and wanting something to ride with her on easy trails (probably paved), just hate mtb's. Love BMX bikes.
Nice. I am looking for a redline bmx bike and will put a electric hub motor on it. The battery on my electric scooter is kind of going down and I don't want to worry about charging it at work just to get back home... I used to always have Redline or GT Racing bmx bikes so I am sticking with em. This Proline XL looks nice, I like the extra leg room as I am 6' tall. Edit: I am 36 haha. My 1st BMX bike was in high school and liked it wayyyy better than mountain bikes. I also out-beasted my buddies out on the trails 90% of the time, they were riding mountain bikes. Light aluminum bmx bike vs big heavy steel mountain bike.... yup... Some times I had steel frame bmx too but I still out did them.
@@tgags050 Oh a better seat ok. Ya I have seen the 26", they are beast. Those guys were trail riding through ground that I walk my 20" bike through and they were doing jumping tricks. But I still like to stick to the 20" haha. 20" with 2.10 tire for that extra 1mph top speed.
When I was a kid in the 70s there was several brands but only one style BMX and they were used for race, trail and street. Nowadays street and race bikes are quite different.
Thank you for going over the top tube measurements I am still wondering what is the exact measurement I have a Redline that was the race Redline and it was so customized. There are no stickers on it. There is a serial number and the paint.
I would Like to start on a BMX. Just for Fitness, speeding around the Hood , a Bit Downhill and forest, little jumps. Agility is important to me, so I wanted to ask which Bike could you recommend, I think a Race BMX but how many Inch tyres? 24" ???? or smaler for better cornering and agility? Or is the 24" perfekt Deal between the worlds? Because good for longer Trips and more comfortable and better for Fitness? The MX24 is Not a Race BMX, right? But would it be also good for fast driving?
MX24 I think is a bit bigger and may be more comfortable. I have to say street and race BMX are fairly comparable for achievable speed, the race bike will be lighter tho, which will help. I have both and like the subtle differences.
Congrats on the bike! I am considering the standard size Pro. Same as you, just looking to ride around with my kid. How tall are you. And how does the XL fit you? Also, did you consider the 24” tire version? Thanks for the video and thank you in advance if you can help me out by answering my question. Not shops in my area have this bike. I will be purchasing online sight unseen. Just want to get it right. Thanks again
I'm 5'8, the 21"TT definitely is good. But I feel like I look big on it, especially when I sit. I might consider a 24" in the future, since I don't race.
looking at one of these wondering how much it weighs ? im kinda like you backstory of bmx but quit in my early teens, 20s now and want something fast and light for the bike paths and you are right the kid with the redline was the fastest haha and yep thats why im here i just wanna cruise these paths without being a full on spandex zoomer. oh i also wondered its a 2 piece crank is that just to save weight or what? i remember what ya wanted for bmx was 3 piece
The specs say 8" rise. The seat is plastic crap that comes with it. People don't sit on BMX bikes anymore, but I still do, I got a more comfortable seat : )

Good for you. I think I may do a bike check. I have a redline flight pro I’m finishing up.
I'm fat and old too, looking to get back in. Wanted a Haro, but appreciate your vid for inspiration. That Redline looks sweet.

Difference between the two bike are the cranks 100% because it's threaded cranks and it really has to be a 2piece crank instead of a 3 piece

I got this bike for my birthday
I'm 52 and buying this bike. "The kid with the Redline was King." Now it's the Dad with the Redline is having a midlife crises.

I want to get disc brakes.
I was looking at a Haro Race Lite that had disc brakes, very nice.
Did you do any quality comparisons versus the Haro Race Lite and DK Sprinter?
Thomas Gaglione cool
No, was not interested in them, I like Redline from when I was a kid. Haro's are cool also. Chase seems to be very popular nowadays.
i wish the Redline just have long or tall seat pol i have redline proline pro XL 2022 it ride good but the seat pol is short for me i am 5’4”
Yes I agree.
