I’m really excited about the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer because I hope that it means more brands will do refillable packaging on products (other than cushion products). The beauty industry creates so much waste and hope that this is a trend that some less luxury brands embrace.
Remember how clinique and estee lauder and all these department store brands used to do this i miss it too. I think its because there is no perceived brand or product "loyalty" anymore as there are so many releases and people have this mentality that the perfect product is out there for them and they have to find it... would be nice to see the beauty industry slow down a bit and release more considered products.
That would be so great! I love eye palettes where I can change the pans, I use a lot of single eyeshadows but we need more products and more brands to do refillable packaging. Plus if the pakcaging is super nice who will ever want to throw it away? They'd dather keep the product expired than throw in the trash an expensive looking compact! 0.o
I agree the medium shade should be considered light. I have light/Medium olive/yellow skin and got the Medium. It is to light for me. I can use it but I need to build it up. I am glad she is doing refills b/c I may purchase the tan refill and can always mix them too.

This is true tho, we don’t need to be spending this much on one product, unless it is like an indie brand making something customized for you, then maybe the price is worth it 🤷♀️🤷♀️ that’s just my opinion tho.
Edit: finally finished the video and I agree it looks ok on you when you have no tan but it definitely isn’t a “medium”. Also there is no point to the larger size unless you actually plan to use that much of it, for you I can see it just sitting in your drawer, maybe being used as a comparison until it gets decluttered and that is a shame. Maybe others will use it every day and it’s worth it for them then.
Marc Jacobs omega bronzer is my all time fave (and only) high end bronzer, not in a hurry to replace it. Thanks for this review!

My thoughts exactly - and it's even bigger than CT one;) I use it alternately with my Butter Bronzer. I think there is something good in these boujee bronzers that actually makes tem worth it - my omega bronzer is my perfect crease shade, I have no idea if I'll be ever able to pan it, and the mirror is so big that I use it to put most of my makeup xD
I appreciate that she put out some light shade bronzers, since I'm pale as this white background I'm trying on LOL -- I think the tones of her products are beautiful and you can build it nicely ❤

I think you're right that there needs to be an expansion on the shade range, HOWEVER I do think this shade looked so good on you! I think it has a yellow undertone that really flattered you ❤️
yeah it ended up looking really great, just had to blend a little extra, but that could be due to it being matte :)

Hi Angela! I got the medium too. It does not rival my Tom Ford Terra but I do like it and will use it. It’s a very natural bronzer IMO. I like that it’s refillable as well. I think it looks great on you. Subtle, natural. Thanks for the video!💕

I think it works as a CT medium. CT astestics usually go for a more subtle look, with super healthy looking skin. If this was Nyx, Fenty, UD, etc I would definitely say it needed to be renamed light.
Agreed. Also her powders tend to oxidize--at least Charlotte Tilbury's regular pressed powder does.

Yes I agree plus some of the major beauty bloggers like Temptalia has rated this very low bronzer very low. People say it's more like a face powder. But it does look very nice on her skin. I don't like that she said it looks a bit dry. That defeats the whole purpose of a bronzer.it should have some glow like the Tom ford Bronzers are really pretty on the skin.

yeah I looked back on the footage and it does look good! I did have to work a little extra with it though, but that could be me being more used to bronzers not being a 100% matte, I need to try it even more, it does look good on haha :P

I purchased the tan and buff a lot, but it is beautiful for a bronzer. It’s very natural in you . Try the tan as a refill when you can. Tan is much darker.
I am fair and after seeing several reviews saying that the lightest shade is basically a setting powder for light skin tones, I got medium. Hope it works out for me.

Angie did you look at the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow? It's less warm but it is satin. I've repurchased it several times. :)

I'm not a big bronzer fan. I usually just "bronze" with a peachy blush. But this looked nice on you! The packaging is stunning.

I agree with you that the shade you bought is not dark enough to be considered medium. The lighter shade is the lightest bronzer I have ever seen. I am very fair and cool toned, and the light shade of the CT bronzer is too yellow for me. That is often the case for me with the lightest shade of bronzers.

i’m not a big fan of an expensive makeup- i wore chanel, dior, guerlain, etc for years before i discovered the other brands like ud, abh, coloured raine and many other indie brands thank to you, Angie!
so i don’t think, that any of those brands are better, than sometimes even drugstore brands. for me as a lover of colourful make up the expensive brands are kinda boring now. and the physician formula butter bronzer is for me formulawise the best bronzer ever- and i tried and still own a lot of expensive ones. nevertheless I understand your approach and it’s absolutely fine to try something different, though.

I panned both of my physicians formula ones. I like this bronzer...but I am always pale. I agree this is a lighter bronzer. Per gram price is good...and I do like the formula...so I am very happy I got it and medium is perfect for me.

I'm much paler than you so I appreciate the comparison to other products. Now I would probably choose the shade you bought but I remember when I first tried bronzer and was terrified by it on my pale skin so I do appreciate that they have a very pale one for pale people who are looking for something they don't have to use with a fairy light touch while they're learning 😊
I'd be interested in comparing the price by the weight before deciding if it's 'expensive', I hadn't realised it was so large.
Fenty's cream bronzers are so user-friendly. I recommend checking them out if you're looking for something buildable and easy to work with 😊
If you like a subtle bronzer Flower Beauty makes a nice luminous one. My sister is a Mac NW10 and it looked lovely on her.

It looks really good. The tan is super dark. I wish it was more luminous too!! I kinda would expect that from CT since she seems to be all about the “glow!” I’m dying to try this bronzer. I like the fact that she made it refillable too!!!

The CT bronzer I always hear raved about comes in a little duo face palette with a highlighter that nobody really uses lol. It is in similar but rectangular packaging. I have personally been underwhelmed by the CT products I've tried & feel they are overpriced. Everything is very light, sheer & pink/peach/nude. I feel like the brand is really pushed on "mature" women here on YT.
I swatched that duo and wasnt impressed, but people seem to LOVE it haha :D

I saw many people review it and say that the formula is just like airbrush powder from CT and my cheap self want to buy the medium shade bronzer and use it as a powder.The value is so much better.
I also thought the shades looked really light, when I saw the ads I thought they were setting powders. I think there's a place for very fair bronzers, but I agree with you that the names should be a bit different.

I tried her liquid illuminator that can be used as a glowy light coverage skintint and that one is amazing :)

This is me when I look at expensive makeup, brushes, skincare, clothes and shoes... I literally glare at their price tag and say 'For that price you better change my life!' Once I said to a Sephora worker who showed me a boujee eye palette 'For this price this better come with two sexy servants who will apply the product for me while also feeding me grapes!'
I'm such a salty stingy witch X'D I think everything boujee looks amazing only for packaging (and not the inside because now materials are cheap as hell so they won't be that sturdy) and placebo effect because once outside nobody else will tell a difference between a insert boujee brand product and a cheap ass drugstore product XD
I am an NC42 in MAC and I bought the CT bronzer in Tan. I really like the formula and find it very blendable. My skin is on the oily side however.
This bronzer is the only Charlotte Tilbury product I own as I find her line extremely overpriced. But per gram, the bronzer is reasonably priced compared to other high end brands. Per gram, the CT bronzer is cheaper than all my other higher end bronzers-Fenty, Becca, Hourglass, Benefit, MUFE.
So happy you enjoy it! And I agree, it's a good value when you look at the amount you get :)

The Physician's formula bronzer is one of my favourites of all time (despite the fact that it's a drugstore product).
Thanks for the review. I am really confused, I saw this medium shade used by other comparatively darker skintoned youtubers and they were ok with the color! I only checked out the Tan shade on my mac NC44/45 skintone and it definitely is dark enough for me. I agree the formula is very dry and matte. But, per gram price is better than many other brands in Sephora, e.g. Fenty bronzer is actually more expensive than this CT bronzer ! I am not comparing this with a drugstore brand ! Is it worth it ?.....I didn't buy it because I didn't like how matte it is! If you like the formula and you use other high end bronzers, this actually may be a better value.

I am heavy handed so I like the lightness.
I also bought the Tan one but haven’t tried that one yet.
I think it's more preference, I don't like a subtle bronzerlook but I know others do :) and Im just comparing it to some of the other bronzers I have that are marketed towards a medium skintone and saw a difference. I think it's more about what I expected than the product itself, I think if you like a subtle barely-there-bronzer this could be for you :)
Unless your planningon using the whole thing up the price per gram doesn't really mean much 🤷 Definitely don't think it's worth it
@@4booky831 I don't own a lot of bronzers, only have one. When I buy complexion products, I really finish them. So, yes per gram price matters to me. Only exception: eyeshadows, never able to finish them.
I also see people hitting pan on bronzers much more quickly than other face products. I just wish the CT bronzer was not that matte. At the end of the day everything depends on personal preference !
This bronzer looks much like Hoola Light, which was a perfect shade for me in winter, but as we are having quite a mexican summer here in Russia this year, I do need something darker. Love the packaging of this Charlotte Tilbury's one, but 55$. Oh. no...

The packaging is gorgeous but how long will it last? Will it last until the end of the first pan? I heard it's plastic. If it were metal, I'd understand more. Overall, I got tempted, but all I can think of now is that I'll stick with my Maybelline City bronzer.

If the compact and pan contents were smaller then being a refill is a fabulous idea, such pretty packaging. Realistically how long would it take to pan? Also would be interested in a cost per gram when compared with a brand such as Fenty. Such a great review. Thank you for showing the comparison between the bronzers and arm swatch. This is not something I would buy, as I prefer a pale rather than sun kissed look.
I go pretty ham on bronzers so I think that if this was the only one I had Id pan it pretty fast haha :P

Like the butter bronzer but the packaging is too bulky. The rimmel bronzer very good but the packaging breaks. So in this case might pay for good packaging!

Tarte waterproof park ave princess bronzer is the best out there and I’ve tried them all.
The Marc Jacobs tantastic bronzer is $49 US and has 25 grams of product. I wish that one had refills because I like the white packaging better.

Darn i wanted to buy this cuz ive never tried a luxury bronzer cuz im sooo fair that 99% of them all pull too orange on me and i despise that look! However the fair shade actually looks more like a face powder and not dark enough to b a bronzer? NEVER thought id b saying that a bronzers too lite, but the medium pulls warm even on u so that wuld look bad on me
yeah I personally dont like cooltoned bronzers but I know others do. have you looked at toofaced chocolate bronzers? they were too cooltoned for me :)
quite expectable that you won't like the finish if it's a matte and you're prefering more glowy options, isn't it? 😁 on camera your application looks really intense. it seems to build well

yeah something was wron with the other upload, it didnt show up to subscribers, so tried to re-upload, we'll see haha :P
