Triber is a very original n smartly designed car by Renault.lots of space,good infotainment system,digital display,good interiors n exterior build quailty,decent engine performance,rare camera,rare washer n wiper,what else one can ask for in this price bracket.
Radical and Very practical design. Use it as a 5 seater or a 7 seater depending on the need. Hope customers realize its utility and potential and make it successful ( instead of showing conservative ‘resale value’ mindset and buying a Maruti !)

Good all-rounder car and a great review by Rohit. I think Rohit's reviews should a branch mark for others at Overdrive for them to come up to the popularity level of AUTOCAR India (who are unnecessarily hyped with only 1-2 anchors/journalists really good at the reviews). About the car....the safety of the third row guys who are sitting too close to the rear door is questionable and customer need to get the actual safety rating of the cars being launched at the time of the launch.
there is a charm of the analogue speedometer, even if the rest is digital. tho frankly no one sees it while driving except once in a while. an armrest in the middle row would have made it more premium. maybe a city version AMT could use one, with central armrest. on the whole good job Renault. for a great package at a phenomenal price.. !

Gear hard hai or kai bar top gear se lo gear main ate hai to gaddi quick respond nhi krti gear atak se jate hai.. Over all gaddi main koi kami nhi hai achi gaadi hai pickup acha hai 1000 cc hone ke bad bhi, control acha hai break ache hai. Suspension acha hai.. value for money hai..
Only problem in this car is the engine...they must provide 1.2 litre 4 cyider engine minimum...noise more when fully loaded...later possibility for engine issue also...
I'd say it should be fine. In urban areas, traffic hinders the potential of a powerful engine. In rural areas, it doesn't even matter as long as the vehicles runs. Full potential of a powerful engine can be used only on highways which buyers rarely do.

The renault car is good but we have been buying the car for 4 months now. The 7 seater car is cool for the far toor but one drawback is the 999 engine. At least the engine should have been 1200 cc but the rest of the company would have faded.
All the review's i have seen of Triber, this is Best one. If you add on road price, it would be great. Even WagonR gives engine option of 1197cc...then why can't Triber...
I highly doubt that build quality will be anywhere close to VW or Fiat. That being said, triber does offer two airbags and upto 4 airbags in highest trim. Considering it cost below 7lakhs, I'd say we can't expect more. More over this car is certainly not meant to be driven like a Polo or Punto.
They could have gone for the 1.2 litre engine of the Go. Though nt powerful but yet could be better than 1 litre one. When are they not giving a more powerful engine to this otherwise great car??
The weak engine will kill this car. Renault should give it a 1.2L version of the engine soon. May be turbocharged as well in a premium automatic version.
@@visveee6678 I suspect Renault will have to figure that out. A car is still an aspirational purchase in India. Cut too many corners and the product fails in our market. I have not seen the engine bay in person. So can't be sure, but it looked large enough in the videos. With diesels going out of favour after BS6, Renault anyway needs better petrol engines if they want to survive in India. The 1L kwid engine is not going to cut it in higher segments. Renault will need a 1.2 and a better 1.5L than the one borrowed from Nissan for the petrol Duster. Turbo petrols are one way to boost power, torque and efficiency.

So, not your fault, you are just falling for Renault's misleading marketing. The OD reviewer for Triber was sharp enough not to fall into that trap. He clearly said this is Kwid's 1.0 engine with BS6 tune. The smallest Clio engines ( 0.9L and 1.0L) are turbocharged, and deliver 90 BHP at 5250 rpm, 135NM torque at 2500 rpm. 28% more power at 1000rpm lower, and 40% more torque at 1000rpm lower - compared to Triber. Had Renault actually put a real Clio engine in Triber, it would have boasted high drivability in the city and good power on the highway. See, I'm not trying to put down the Triber. I'm saying it looks a good car and deserves to succeed. Don't hobble it with a weak engine and let the car fail beyond some initial bookings. The per car incremental cost will be small, if Renault does not get greedy.
The 1L engine is definitely a deal-breaker. But a 1.2L engine might push costs very high, thus defeating it's USP. Could a 1.1L engine hit the sweet spot of adequate power and cost-effectiveness?

If only Renault gave this the 1.5 dCI with even the lowest Verito tuning (65 PS, 160 Nm), then Ertiga will be thrown out of business.
The Ertiga is a better driving car. Better handling, steering response, comfort etc.
U r wrong, ertiga has is bigger and have space for luggage, which triber doesn't have. But it's a good car .

Renault triber is charging almost 65k extra under pretext of different compulsory charges , so base variant ex showroom 4.95 lakh is 6.40 L on road.
That's why you should learn the art of bargaining. You will get the base model for below 5.85, second base for 6.45, RXT for 7.05 and RXZ for 7.7

Very well said. I think a 1.1 like the old 1089 CC Santro Xing could have been the best fit with 4 cylinder refinement. Maybe in the next version.
