After all these discussions and debate, Renault Triber is a affordable family station wagon car. Well presented, Renault Triber is good for families for daily uses and it have all those features which is necessary, qlso it's is safer than Maruti Suzuki Car and looks good than Maruti Suzuki Car as compared to EECO and Wagon-R ECCO have 1.1 ltr engine produces only 63 HP, but renault triber 1ltr engine produces 72 HP and it is more fuel efficient.
It's not just about power, please try a test ride of this car and you will understand how bad can a engine really be, when u release the clutch on the first gear the engine knocks and you can feel on steering and pedals, once it gets going its ok
Maruti Omni was mostly used as school van, small family affordable car, and by small businessman, never realised underpowered car, but people are judging triber without considering price, features, safety and well spacious cabin which is wide and height is equal to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon etc.
Car designs very well. It's really amazing. People with large family and less money just amazing option for them. Not for everyone but best for some families.
One of its kind only weight less than 1 ton with 7 seats and 40lt tank with 20kmpl mileage and the interior is so classy wow Renault nailed it no one is gonna buy maruti suzuki ertiga
before buying this car I also though same but on booking, you just get sucked into paying for this that features, accessories and so on. For 2nd top variant, I have spent about 8 lakhs including tyre upgrades :(

And overall it seems like a great package though some things that may dictate its success could be the lack of a proper four cylinder petrol engine, steering mounted controls and may be the lack of a diesel option.. Car engine technology has come a long way from 90's. In old carb engine days when maruti launched Maruti 1000 with a 1000cc 4 cylinder engine, it was a flop due to low power of 45 bhp only. And now we have a 3 cylinder 1000cc happily pulling 7 people.
With a better engine, price wouldn't have gone up very much. I really want to see its performance with 7 people or 5 people with luggage up a hill. This car is like tata harrier. Well priced, good looking, good almost everywhere except for the heart of the car, the ENGINE. Why do these manufacturers neglect it so much? People wont bother to pay a little extra for a good engine
Loved the review. It was brief and to the point. Only downside is the underpowered engine. 96 Nm is simply insufficient. Would seriously consider this car in the turbo version with torque ramped up to 135-140 Nm atleast.
Renault should quickly do a premium version with: 1. More power for highway driving. Turbo charging the same petrol engine, and/or go up to 1.2Ltr as that could also be used by other Renault models in the future. 2. Add auto transmission or a smooth AMT, with cruise 3. Add audio and cruise buttons on the steering wheel. 4. Add damping and insulation to make it a very quiet car cabin. Market this along with safety/4 airbags. 5. 3rd headrest in middle seat. Arm rest in front and in middle seat. Middle seat headrest could be implemented by simply making the middle part of the seat fold forwards at the right height. This can be done with hardly a 50-70K increase in price. Cars in India are still an aspirational product, and a good affordable automatic will sell well in the cities.
Renault has given a really awesome package here this car has lot of potential just they need to advertise this car very aggressively and they have many things as their highlight and very affordable pricing has to be the no. 1 of all of them this car deserves good sales figures
I think its a great car and I hope it sells well as renault is trying really hard in entry level segments and this effort deserves good numbers, if it doesnt I fear it will become all maruti monopoly.
Good video review. Great all-rounder car. But as said the rear most seat occupant safety is questionable as was the case with Maruti's long standing OMNI at front. Also people need to get the safety rating of the new entrant vehicles in the market to have a clear judgement about safety. Sceptical about the safety rating of this one due to it's pricing and the bad reputation that KWID had!
With the new upcoming turbo petrol, plse have ESP & TC as standard, its the on Datson Go T varient as well (on road Delhi - 6.02 lakhs). ESP & Traction control are life savers. Its long since standard for all Cars in EU, US, CA etc

Is triber a worthy car? Campared to the other options which starts from around 5-6 lacs like i10, swift, baleno, dzire, amaze, Figo, aspire,etc? Is it a real value for money? Need an honest opinion. Looking for a car within 7-7.5L(on road). Also, can the engine of the triber which is a 1L engine of the one the most successful Clio that produces upto 100 HP, can be tweaked for better performance by triber? Does the engine holds more capacity to deliver more power? Does the car performs better than on paper? Is it underwhelming on road? Also since there is roof a/c vents for the 3rd row, can we put a sunroof and is there any provision to install steering mounted controls? Will it have a resale value because of its BS4 engine? Will it be a good buy?

The car is a smaller version of Koleos in terms of looks and design !! I have used Renualt before and its performance is great but the air conditioning is not up to the mark!! Lastly engine will still perform great as this is part if Nissan Renualt and Mitsubishi alliance 😀
Reanult's launch of the Triber and its price point of entry was a show-stopper, but I feel that they should take it easy on the price rises. Now the Triber's base model sells at 5.3 lakhs ex-showroom which is almost 31K more than the intro price. Couple this with the fact that the price rise is not helped by any added specs, like say Power-windows for the rear- I think the company should re-think its price rise strategy. Already it seems like both Renault and Nissan are mulling price increases. Not a good precedent, I would say. They should concentrate on good sales numbers to keep the dealers busy. With a unique and class-breaking product like this, it is only a matter of time before the competition comes in with rival offerings. Renault should try to build a sizeable market before then....

On the other hand back seats are just like bus seat we can't gets any REST all car makers are making the same pattern back seats must be more comfortable . They all are 90 degree vertical with horizontal sitting space the VERTICAL BACK Support of seats must not be at 90degree it should be more inclined towards back direction for all cars and SUV OF RENAULT. Neral-Matheran, Kulu-Manali , Shilma all my life spent traveling in Maruti Omni 800cc engine. And now people have started complaining about 1000cc engine 7 seater car which cost upto 7 lacks on road. If you have 8lacks+ of budget go for 1.5 liter ertiga why one will go for even for 1.2 liter engine ?
Same thing they did with kwid, heavy car (in terms of appearance, space) with low powered engine. Now Triber with lots of room but less powered engine. They should have atleast gone with 1.2 ltr engine.

The fact that it is available only in petrol is a drawback. People in this segment tend to stay away from petrol variants and opt for diesel/cng instead. But still a good all round car.
Sorry to say, there is something me correction, now people are turns to start use petrol models Beacuse of there in not material difference in the price with petrol, and need to pay more. Also nowadays car manufacturers are trying to give more milage Expect for those drive more and also person who need more power

Really good practical car but the engine power should have matched the Ertiga for a potential slot in the market.
They should have provided atleast foldable armrests for the driver and front passenger given the space between the seats.

1.2L engine is a 4 cylinder engine and they wouldn't be able to fit that in... Only way would be to compromise on seating space.
