    Those blue-ish bushes on the ground in the desert area are good to grab. Get tons of saffron. Makes a good tea. 😄

      [Genosis] - I definitely find this out later, that's good stuff and I will be starting a large farm on it

      Ohh, saffron! That's why they looked familiar, they are crocus flowers!
      Hmm... IRL, they are also quite decorative flowers...

    Destroying the skeleton will usually make the bed useable

      [Genosis] - I should try that; I figured it was just a prop bed, I've slept with skeletons before at least once as odd as that sounded lol.

    I would have _so much fun_ with the building in this game.
    I'd probably use the bone and mycelium blocks to decorate the alchemist's area, though I don't think I would build the whole room out of it.
    I don't know if I would build a whole castle, but I'd probably build a decent house for myself including some common rooms, and separate buildings for each of the artisans. Each of those built in different styles, from a farm house for the farmer and a rough wood tower for the hunter, to a separate lab for the alchemist - made of sturdy stone, in case of explosive experiments.

      [Genosis] - I am torn between staging all the survivors closer together for crafting sake, or separating them for more immersion as you suggest.

      @@NotAGamerGaming I can see why. I guess I should clarify that this is what I would do at an advanced stage of the game.
      Right now, you're still gathering new things, and building up your supply. It makes sense to keep everyone close. But at some point, I would expect that it would be less necessary.
      Even now, you could probably move the farmer and the farm to one side of your base area without having to run back and forth too much, for example. I think that once I had reached that kind of stage, and found a place for a permanent/long term base, I would start building for looks over utility.
      In any case, I'm not the one building your base, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you will do.

    I'm really enjoying this game. I suppose what I like most, is the exploration. It brings me back, to my Morrowind days. I like to put away all of my valuables, and jus run off, into the unknown. I can't tell you how many times, I've died to deadly shroud, lava and just plain falling to my death 😁 Also, there are a couple of good glider perks, if you haven't gotten them yet...

    • @NotAGamerGaming
      @NotAGamerGaming  7 місяців тому +3

      [Genosis] - I've been meaning to review some of the perks more displaced from the magical side of things. Survivor perks really make travel a lot easier, and glider perks would really encourage exploration. I'll have to take a look next I record.
      Also pretty thankful the corpse retrieval is from the point of falling and not at the point of impact lol, deadly shroud losses would be permanent.

      @twistedexistence3603 7 місяців тому +2

      @@NotAGamerGaming Yes, the 'corpse retrieval' thing is wonderful. Otherwise, I would have lost a bunch of really cool stuff. Although, I'm a bit sad, about the level cap. I was just getting started!

    Magic damage on gloves doesnt apply to wands. So these 6% gloves would be better. You can test the damage on dummies in the starting area near the well. So if you're going the wizard route, the best gear is elder gloves(can be found in desert chests), if you're going to mainly use wands - warlock gloves(can be crafted)

    • @NotAGamerGaming
      @NotAGamerGaming  7 місяців тому +2

      [Genosis] - Oh? Wand damage isn't magic damage? Considering the damage types (fire, ice, poison, shroud, shock) that correlate on weapons as well as spells, I figured they were synonymous.

      @@NotAGamerGaming there's pretty big discussion on steam called 'Wand and staff damage and heal formulas'. Many players confirmed it and I also tested it, the info is true

    I have played melee, ranger, and mage characters now. The mage is by far my favorite. I am not sure I will continue with my ranger or melee any more. I was not really enjoying either of them. Maybe I will do some building for a while to keep myself busy.

    • @NotAGamerGaming
      @NotAGamerGaming  7 місяців тому +2

      [Genosis] - Oh yeah, the building options are great, and the building materials are top notch. Build a big castle, a village on the outer wall, and a big gated wall outside of that ala Attack on Titan.

      [Genosis] - Would definitely need to make use of blocking and dodging with keeping range not being as much of an option. The blades can be easily blocked once you get the pattern down, but the explodely skeleton face needs to be dodged
