Taylor performs this during The Eras Tour, and there is something so wonderful about her playing her grandmother's music for millions of people. Such a great way to honor that closet of backlogged dreams her grandma left to her.

I think it would be interesting to see a double reaction to Dear John and Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve as they are both about her relationship with John Mayer when she was 19 and he was 32. The first she wrote back when they broke up, and the second when she herself got to the age he was when they were dating. It’s really interesting to see how she feels about it then and now, and also how her songwriting has evolved.

as a lifelong metalhead, i disagree with “this song is not made for metalheads.” this song was made for anyone who has ever lost someone they care about. the music may not have dynamic swells, but it fits the mood of the lyrics perfectly. Taylor actually gets a lot of respect from metalheads and metal musicians, and I’m glad you’re going into these reactions with a somewhat open mind. i’ve been a fan of hers since 2006 and have her on some of the same playlists as i have lorna shore, pantera, lamb of god, and slayer. thank you for giving her an honest chance 💜

I vote Dear John/ Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve! Such amazing storytelling. I’m also a little biased with Dear John because that was one of my surprise songs last year when I saw her in Minneapolis, so it’s extra special for me :) I also love this song too, it’s beautiful, and everyone’s lost someone so it’s special to everyone.
For a song more up her metal alley, maybe try Don’t Blame Me? Especially the live performance from Reputation Tour.
Also loved your tribute at the end, it was beautiful. RIP to their beautiful souls.

I would love to see more TSwift reactions, and I hope that one low rating doesn't put an end to it. Taylor’s music ranges over several styles and genres (pop, country, folk, alt, indie, rock…), it's easy to like one album, but not another. (Personally, I like them all.) Also, FYI, her live performances and music videos are both fantastic, so I hope you will get a chance to experiences some examples of both before giving up on her. I suspect that there are several more folklore and evermore songs you'd like. For folklore, I strongly suggest trying at least a couple of samples from the Long Pond Sessions movie.
