You guys knew exactly what to do when to do it and how to do it. That is straight professionalism.
I have watched soooo many fire companies show up at a working fire unprepared. I love that these folks were ready, had a plan and went to it. Having your SCBA ON when you arrive is key to an aggressive attack and quick knockdown. The guys are well trained.
some of us do not have the integrated SCBA seats.
Pretty simple call but yes they did a good job. I would have stretched my attack line before it was charged but that's cause I'm old and lazy now.
i am 61 years old always wanted to ride in a fire truck thank you this is as close i will ever get to doing it
You awes became a firefighter you don't have go and fight fire you can drive the truck and run pump and help on out side setting up ground ladders flanking hose lines Manning the hydrant different things like that and you don't have to wear an air pack a crawl around on the floor your age and your local volunteer fire department will be glad to have you
You can always become a firefighter you don't have to crawl around on the floor and where and are pack you could drive the truck man the pumps help on outside by assisting in placing ladders laying hose lines Gathering tools for the firefighters on the inside setting up positive pressure fans man in the fire hydrant traffic control even volunteered to help out it Fire Company functions volunteer fire departments need all the help they can get if you're in physical condition I'd highly recommend you look into joining your local Volunteer Fire Department As A Firefighter or support member they will greatly appreciate you
I'm sure if you contact your local department you could do a ride along. They are definitely fun.
I’ve rode in fire trucks and police cars it’s fun in real life
It ain’t fun once you know what you are going to, which is all calls, cause you always have that thought in your head
Powercall and Q sirens sound awesome together!
Always be there for good people
Appreciate you folks as volunteers. Be safe always.
That powercall and q never gets old. Great video
Quick knock down and professional response. Awesome work guys.
I'm from VA moved to FL. Glad to see you men uploading stuff like thsi
Great response guys & gals. Glad to see the PPE already where it needs to be when these guys get off the truck. You do need air for a truck fire. The chemicals in that smoke will kill you. I thought the same as Jeff on the placement of the truck. At first it was like No !!. After seeing situation better, it was a safe & convenient place to stop as there was the frontage road that ran along 81 for directing traffic. It got the crew close to the semi, but also provided safety distance in case of explosions.
Great job guys
This has got to be the best video I’ve seen you post. With the smoke showing and heavy Q it’s the perfect blend
That’s a pretty damn impressive response time guys
Nice response. Quick, professional.
kind of like where i live at. see the smoke. still have 30 minute drive to the scene. thanks for the video :)
great job by the engine chauffeur for flaking out the kinks in the bumper line while still manning the pumps
Damm I love the sirens but great job to save people Respect.
I was a firefighter for 20 years, nothing like riding an ENGINE with the 100 watt & the Q going full blast............. 🇺🇸👍
Great knock down on the grass and assistance on the semi. Bravo Zulu guys...
How’s the driver? Is he ok? You know, where I come from, and how I was raised, u pulled over for a responding emergency vehicle. People have no respect for u guys anymore. Thank u for all u all do. I have the utmost respect for all of u. Gods speed.
As far as I see everyone in this video did? Are you referring to oncoming traffic? There is no need for them to pull over since there are no oncoming vehicles ahead of the fire engine. Maybe the ones near crossroads or turnings could have slowed down or stopped.
Quick to get water on after arrival. 👍👍👍What a beautiful area you guys live in .
Great job firefighters. Good use of what water you had.
As a truck driver hate to see the truck on fire but at least it happened at a perfect spot making it easy for the engine to get to it even keeping it out of traffic till they shut the interstate down.
GREAT VIDEO ! THANKS SO MUCH!
Love the new siren tone along with the Q2B awesome work brothers in Va. Be safe you'll! Happy Holidays
That powercall sounds great with that Q
I love that siren..WAAA..OOOH..WAAA...OOOH...WAA..OOOH that's my favorite fire truck siren noise
They call that a power call siren. I learned that two years ago.
@@davidtheobald4725 really.?..I love it but rarely hear it on EMS/fire trucks it sounds sooo coool
Yeah. My city's two newest firetrucks, both Sutphens, have the power call. Scranton, PA Fire Dept Engine 8 and Truck 2.
@@davidtheobald4725 hell yeah...my brother is a retired firefighter for the Charleston west Virginia fire department
I am 50 and I used to ride on fire trucks as a volunteer firefighter (rookie status) to different locations for either a fire or a fire alarm, but never for a medical run.
great job guys!
Damn Good Video From a Brother Firefighter out of Maryland
Very efficient response and knockdown. Stay safe!
Thank you. The pumper attack line is a scorpion load.
Red Reaper sac vs cv BBC Fb Hf Zac Bd cc x
Sad he Fb If
I love the power call ❤👌🏻
thank for the ride i like riding inside the truck with the crew pops64 ky
Oh, this is where you upload now.
Looks like the fire engines are clear to dispatch to respond of the trailer fire
Why doesn’t turner griffin upload anymore? Great video by the way.
I live near where the fire was I heard about it too
Job well done
Great loud sound need them in London
good job
100th comment, 100 percent on doing a good job 😃
@Red Reaper those are common out here in hillsborough fl too
Buchanan is beautiful town.
Awesome response but would be nice to actually see what your putting out!!!! Stay safe
It said in the description
Be careful and be safe
Nice I'm brevard NC right under y'all :)
How did it go in flames?
Thats a big ol fire
Thsts my favorite
That was quick
On the police/traffic side.... Placement of the Engine kept the Troopers from continuing traffic flow by utilizing the exit ramps to bypass the operation.
Traffic is not a concern when it comes to fires. They can wait
8:25 dang that battaleon was late
Yeah no one calls it that....
@@arg9919 it is a battalion though. Stop being a know it all 🙄
@@eoinpkav152 A battalion would be the TWP or the whole city not just a crew the show 9-1-1, station 19 and any shows like it are about as real as Mia Khalifas tits (Rescue me is an exception)
@@arg9919 if any one of you could read, that truck read UTILITY 3, not battalion 3. That's a normal FF driving that truck, not a battalion chief. he would've been dispatched a lot later than the engine.
@@pranaavsaravanan7625 If you had context clues maybe somewhere Idk where tho you’d understand I was correcting him
Can I ask a question? If you have that man calls and see the smoke why do you wait to go scene before you ask dispatch to start rolling a tanker(s)?
Our dispatcher was toning us us out, getting us rolling then drop a second tone for tanker support 3 minutes later. We also never had a single tanker rolling, we always had at least 2 or more always rolling with us.
Maybe it's just the way we operate and train just seemed a little slow and disorganized.
But seriously good knock down 👌
👍✌️
You realize they are a small ass department right?
What’s with the audio cutting out
Probably in-cab discussions or radio traffic that needs to be muted for privacy.
Cool
traveled that interstate 81 many times in my 45 years on the road know that exit welk
Like Lawrence Welk?
that is a good one JIM
HELL YEAH !!!! GE - WARBLE
what state are thy in and is this a volunteer dep
Virginia and yes they are a volunteer department
Good job though
What go-pro setup is this?
GoPro Hero 5 Session.
I'm surprised the trailer survived.
Didn’t you use to have a different channel? Or at least a different channel name?
I do. But I don't use it.
I wonder if you still occasionally work as a firefighter.
I do.
@@RedReaper303 That's good to know!
Wow did that truck just blow up?
More than likely it was an older model truck with the old generation DEF system. These older systems were very well known to produce extreme heat and burned up many trucks. But also possibly a hot brake. Hard to tell.
Family Dollar didn't get their delivery on time that day.
It's ok, werner was there to be the back up guy 😆
Two no parking signs GEE IM GONA PARK BETWEEN THEM
I'm just 9 yrs old and I want to be a firefighter
I watch a lot of these and always wonder what most departments or nozzle men have against fog streams.
G. R. Probably because in certain situations you can create a shitload of steam and cook yourself with it, especially in structural fires, we called it getting steam killed.
@@Canadiancoinguy Probably my teachings are outdated, I took EF over 30 years ago when I was bright eyed and young, but our "policy, teachings" was the fog goes in first, the fire fighter follows when he can almost see through the white. I followed a nozzle a time or two in my 30+ years got more "heat hurts" from the "event" than steam. Apparently I never came across one of those certain situations and frankly am not sorry I missed one. I understand the shitload of steam and sometimes the damn things are so hot S&R is hopeless thus so is entry. I also am a volunteer in a village/rural area with little warehouse/industrial activities. But frankly, I am still a advocate of fog initial attacks.
@@g.r.4853 for a structure it makes sense to have fog go first. Although I've always been told by the current men that no one uses it because of the steam issue. Only time I've seen a crew using fog was to do a wet down, or exposure prevention.
@@jamesluck2969 Times change as do SOGs. What really gets to me is watching a deck gun or sometimes a manned line shooting directly over a fire doing as much good as a rain storm. Our department (vol) instituted an ops "observer" to stand back and redirect that error (often our car 3, unless doing tanker ops or first mutual aid chief). They will often order the aerial to fog. Either way it is not nor will be my decision, only opinion. Thanks for the input and especially the civil tone
@@g.r.4853 I don't think your teachings are out dated. I am a ex volly. Joined in 1970 and was taught similar to you. To me if you get steam killed it is hot to be that close. 👍
Considering that the trailer trucks cab is what caught fire, I hope the driver of the truck is okay, as this video doesn't mention that, plus some of you commenters seem more impressed by the way the fire trucks new siren sound is than the well being of the driver of the truck that caught fire, and while I agree the siren sound is cool, it makes more sense to worry about the well being of the driver of the other truck don't you think? Just saying is all. 🙄
Wh- who disliked, what was the point of it
I think the point was the first guy wasted 30 seconds putting on his gloves.
William Simmons You know, you may have a point
Loom up at 2:00
Can't see much 😕
2:14 I thought that was a rabbit on the road!
Need a better view of the fire.
Whelp, it's out now. Probably ain't gonna happen there again...
Why arent there fire hydrants on the XWAY???
Radio traffic should be clear and precise directions, "Go ahead and get me a tanker enroute, and possibly a brush truck." Possibly is weighing your options when determining assets needed, not a clear direction or request.
Talking about closing the bale a little quick
6:07 Why are we attacking the grass fire instead of the source?
Truck fire wasn't going anywhere, grass fire was spreading
Truck fire wasn't going anywhere, grass fire was spreading !
Many people think a fire hose is fire proof. They are not and can have a hole burned in them if exposed to the flames for too long.
Why attack the grass fire? Dude, it was spreading uphill. I had to attack the grass fire. Did you see the treeline on the other side of the on-ramp? Not to mention, during this incident, we were in a drought.
You should never ever fight fired
Hi bro waiting see my girlfriend just applied new job closed your town Hope's moving soon we both have firefighter experience firefighter 1 and 2 certified
Audio terrible love the pc though
would have been nice to actually see it
not just the entrance ramp
Why not join a local volunteer fire department so you can see it in person?
Why not join a local volunteer fire department so you can see it in person?
I think it a fire crew truck at the scene of a real fire...Not a film crew or news van trying to get the best shots for the audience
🇨🇴
Man I hate that Powercall siren. But not as bad as that damn Rumbler. I have to mute all NYC videos now with that rumbler. Give me a Q siren anyday.
damn rumblers are that bad for you?
I love how the driver responds like he is driving to church on a lazy Sunday then when they come around the corner and see all the smoke, the driver somehow finds that gas pedal while the person riding shotgun finally knows how to use the siren and air horn with a sense of urgency.
Using the 'Q' siren, so consistently, for a nearly empty road....? Brilliant tactic, since drivers were pulling over quicker for the normal siren.
Ride along lol
As a hay and alfalfa farmer, for a minute the title had me wondering what the hell a tractor trailer is. why not just call it a semi truck lmao.
I would put the grass out first
L
I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for not having all of your gear, including mask, on when you exit the engine. What were you dong on that long ride?
Obviously you didn't see me ready to go. Mask on and everything.
Yeah no you don’t ride pack on. Everybody knows that. If you don’t have the integrated seats it’s extremely dangerous
They always move so slow
