ABOUT ARMY OF THE DEAD:
From filmmaker Zack Snyder, ARMY OF THE DEAD takes place following a zombie outbreak that has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world. When Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), a former zombie war hero who’s now flipping burgers on the outskirts of the town he now calls home, is approached by casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), it’s with the ultimate proposition: break into the zombie-infested quarantine zone to retrieve $200 million sitting in a vault beneath the strip before the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours. With little left to lose, Ward takes on the challenge, assembling a ragtag team of experts for the heist. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing’s for certain in the greatest heist ever attempted: survivors take all.
ABOUT TOM HOLKENBORG:
Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, is a Grammy nominated multi-platinum producer, musician, composer and educator whose versatility puts him on the cutting edge of contemporary music, and whose thirst for innovation is helping to reimagine the world of composition. Tom’s film scoring credits have grossed over $2 billion at the box office and include Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Black Mass, Alita Battle Angel, Divergent, Brimstone, The Dark Tower, Tomb Raider, Terminator: Dark Fate, the record setting Sonic the Hedgehog and recent monster hits Justice League: The Snyder Cut and Godzilla vs Kong. Tom is able to draw on his extensive knowledge of classical forms and structures while keeping one finger planted firmly on the pulse of popular music. When his eclectic background is paired with his skill as a multi-instrumentalist (he plays keyboards, guitar, drums, violin, and bass) and a mastery of studio technology, a portrait emerges of an artist for whom anything is possible.

k i will listen to it
You can say whatever you want about Zack Snyder's work, but you gotta admit he knows how to create some sick intros for his movies. Army of the Dead, Watchmen, JL, 300 and Dawn of the Dead had superb opening sequences. Shit, even Sucker Punch's soundtrack is top notch.
Sucker punch really isn’t that bad. It’s incredibly original compared to anything Hollywood has popped out in the last couple years
El inicio de la peli y algunas escenas son lo poco bueno que tiene la peli.
Plot twist the media hate him cause he won't pick political sides when they ask him stupid bait questions about his movies
I don’t think Zack Snyder should be a full on director. He should be the equivalent of Creative Director. His talents are lacking in the other facets. By that I mean his movies are extremely stylish but can feel so uneven in terms of quality. Like it constantly fluctuates between being a 9/10, 6/10, and 3/10.
What I loved about Army of the Dead was that it wasn't just a regular "zombie apocalypse" film. By the time the main plot starts, the world has actually mostly gone back to normal (except for Vegas).
SO true!!
@@curiotimetv Yeah fr
yes but no one actually won....it was too cheesy to be scary (was funny)....... I liked the bit during this song where the mini guy blows a guy into mince meat...yet the force of the bullets doesnt blow him away....hahahah....like something out of bugs bunny.
Yepado
I guess you can say that what happens in Vegas... stays in Vegas
Best version of this song I've ever heard. The womans voice on the long notes is incomparable to any other sound introduced to me in my lifetime.
I get goosebumps everytime she hold the Las Vegas line
Allison Crowe
Allison Crowe is certainly a unique singer. (Well, everyone is, but you know what I mean.) I discovered her randomly 17 years ago on TV and immediately wrote a fan email and got a nice reply from her manager. Later I wrote the Wikipedia article about her, and have been her driver and roadie when she's performed around where I live (so I can tell you that she's a wonderful person too). She deserves wider attention, and I must admit that it's pretty cool that my fellow superfans include Zack and Deborah Snyder! She's also written some killer songs (check out Alive and Breathing, Disease, and Skeletons and Spirits - all of which are very different from each other). She's released a pretty hefty number of albums by now so there's lots to listen to! allisoncrowe.bandcamp.com/
She is incredible. Gives me Whitney Houston vibes.
🤢
It's so funny how the little words in between like kapow and watch out Elvis.
And the bullets are matxhing the rythm
Especially when the paratrooper got swarmed by zombies
@@davidolukoga6082 😂😂😂
No coincidence Snyder started out making music videos and commercials
100th like here
The fact that theres such a happy song during a zombie apoclaypse is just golden
The timing between this song and the cinematography during the opening were spot on;
"Kapow!" And "Watch Out Elvis!" Being two of the top examples.
And the part with the paratroopers; the “aw shoot” when that one paratrooper fell into the horde.
@@camerongreene3357 Exactly!!! Loved it!!!!
The scene of the chinook crashing and exploding in the building when he said kapow
@@dannyisnow1004 I believe Snyder started out doing music videos; if that is true, this opening definitely shows in the best way.
also the drums and symbols for the 50 cal, yeah really well done
Zack Snyder you rock and killed it, this musical just screams blatantly awesome and Las Vegas.
The last part with the piano🔥🙏🙌
I’m here for that part
I love how they rewrote this song to work with the background imagery, gunshots, explosions mixed with Kapow or drums
Fun fact: Richard Cheese also covered "Down With The Sickness" for Zack's Dawn of the Dead
He did a lot of metal covers in this kind of style.
that one i think was not specifically for the movie tho. but zack picked him bc it fit. here was actually specifically for the movie.
He also Covered “My Neck, My Back” Sinatra style and it’s incredibly hilarious, homeboy shoots the N word like nobody can
Yeah the first thing that came into mind when I heard this was the classical cover of down with the sickness in that movie.
Holy shit! I just said that in a comment how much this song reminds me of get down with the sickness I had no idea they were the same singer. Cool😎
The opening credits of this movie blew me away and now this song is stuck in my head on loop. Damn you Zack! You brilliant bastard!
This movie was truly insane, and I don't have any words powerful enough to qualify this intro, as Watchen one. Zack we don't deserve you
yuh that shit was gas
Best version ever I heard
It was the best scene in the movie while this song was playing.
Rest of the movie was so disappointing
@@DoctorXander I agree
@@DoctorXander Especially the ending. Just randomly killed off all the characters.
@@DoctorXander I think I would’ve liked to see the montage in the beginning as a movie. The rest of the movie was meh.
The only best part is the casion fight scene and the opening credits
Surprisingly, this is the only standalone music picture video that hasn't got the comments blocked off yet. Also this is probably the best version on all of Viva Las Vegas ones. This is a DAMNN bop
allison crowe just carried this song to an unreachable level. It's simply amazing especially the ending. 👍👍
That's the power of her voice
Richard Cheese in Dawn of the Dead (2004) and Army of the Dead (2021)
Allison Crowe is a goat for this. She killed it
Gaga would’ve done bedder so shush 🤫
@@Curi0u50ne definitely not
@@Curi0u50ne better*
@@Curi0u50ne Except Gaga wouldn't have agreed to sing for a zombie movie.
She brought so much soul into the song, I almost she was Jennifer Hudson!
“ Watch out Elvis!” Love this movie watched it for the 10th time never gets old.
This is the type of music that makes me so hyped to go or to live in a city that I can't go to and that i like. Zack is hitting it with a treat during quarantine/lockdown for all of us. Now I'm gonna listen to this again, if you don't mindd.
I can't stop my mind from saying on how this is really amazing!, DAYUMM
The ending to this is pure gold
is it just me or the intro of this was absolutely fire when this song came on the movie
When you listen to JXL soundtracks, you need speakers
JXL?
@@anthonyespinoza4250 junkie xl
While having a kubrick's film pfp ^^
Think paratrooper THINK !
Why in the world would you parachute in the middle of a zombies horde with out a parachute thing glider / sent a navy seal to recover important mission?
"THINK PARATROOPER THINK!"
😂
Well, let's assume no one in the military knew what kind of shit would happen and during battles troops are dropped in like this, although no much since vietnam but it is still done and practiced.
I think it's just a bait to make those zombies stay in the middle while they walled up the city.
The paratrooper only have pistol
@Roach Definitely stupid, but it got a good laugh in the theater.
AOTD had a lot of tongue in cheek moments, a lot of dumb laughs and considering how dysfunctional our government is today and over the last 20+ years, dumb ideas like this are not unbelievable
Wouldn't it be smarter to take some attack choppers around the city a couple times. Seems a lot safer than to send a single an unprotected guy with nothing but a 9mm in heart of the city.
Bro, they LITERALLY have to come with a rendition of that song for this movie and it came out so good and pretty fire, was hitting t, AAND killing it. I was NOT expecting a start of the scene like that. Wow you've impressed me again netflix, I'm gonna be addicted to this again. No in fact I'm gonna binge it
This song is 100% perfect for this movie
👍
5:15 that one moment when the crane worker drops the crate on them
This feels Nostalgia
Best - movie - song - opening --> evah!
Kudos to the production team! ✨
Amazing song
Zack Snyder is probably the best director I want to be
I highly disagree he's a very style over substance director and has only made three movies that I would say are good army of the dead 300 and dawn of the dead
@@chantalksmoremovies4998 you didn't watch watchman
Scorsese and Tarantino exist
@@Shubhamm.Kumarr damn didn’t know he did 300 and watchmen that’s impressive
Hack Snyder 🙄🙄
La última parte de la canción es excelente
I cry each time I watch this intro. Don’t know why. Just gets me every time.
Same here
This song was incredible and SO appropriate for the movie. I don’t know who chose it, but congratulations! You hit that thing out of the ballpark. And Elvis standing there with his jaw popping up and down and missing an eyeglass lens was absolutely stellar. You guys deserve a huge raise and definitely a part two for this movie I’m going to start a personal petition for it right now.
Vivaaa, Las Vegaaas
They really turned a cheesy song into something beautiful
You can thank RIchard CHeese (Dick cheese) for this great rendition
The original is a classic but I love this one more because it’s more stylized and they take their time with the lyrics
indeed
HEY NOW WATCH IT. YOU'RE TALKIN ABOUT THE **KING**
Cheesy? It’s THE KING’S MUSIC! Have some respect
Love this version so much! If you live in Vegas you get it the highs and lows of this song represent!
I love this song. Its freaking good.
This was my best and memorable part of the entire movie, especially the last part with the piano.
....the females soft piano version is goosebumps....those notes....elvis would have gave her the nod lol
The way she sings her part was so unforgettable, I had to come here to find and listen to it again. Just incredible vocals!
One of the best covers and opening credits ever. Snyder knows how to open a flick.
Amazing song viva las Vegas 💥💥❤❤🤩🤩
This fucking version of the song gives me chills everytime
Renditons of songs by movies makes me discover old songs that are pretty good by themselves! 👍
snyder will forever have my respect for introducing me to richard cheese.
No tiene madre la música 🎶👌🏻 excelente
Allison Crowe nailed those high notes and was the reason I watched the movie
This movie was awesome. Love this cover brilliant
This in Theatres was amazing . heard it many times while ushering and watching the film in theatres .
I always start listening from 4:28
Same, I love the slowed version 🤗
I just know that this film is from Zack Snyder ALSO 9/10 FOR THIS FILM
Love the music
Gonna tell my kids this was the original since it's so much better than the original
Wowww I love Allison Crowe part in this song. Brings me to tears when I hear it!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
jfc this is honestly my favourite film of the past decade or more
Those long notes she sings on "Las Vegas" are something else
The final solo ❤️
They could literally make a tv series about the Zombie horde overtaking Las Vegas, vs the police, then the Military, it would be such a good thing.
Army of the dead: Lost Vegas
One can hear the joy and the pain of high-stakes gambling in Las Vegas. The first part is optimism and the last part of the song gives you a feeling of despair in losing it all on the high stakes of what one is really gambling... hope for that big hit.
Whoes here after watching army of the dead 😂
me
Most likely everyone right now
Where did you watch it
On Netflix
👍🏻
what a great cover!!
Richard cheese is a genius
Ka pow!!!!!!! We are going to Vegas
The opening with this music is so much ✋
Perfect song for my custom New Vegas radio station
Iam here just after watching movie 🤣
me too
So this is what happens when dawn of the dead and Dead Rising 2 meet, truely beutyfull
I absolutely love the movie. It's a little cheesy, but I thought it was really fun. And having this song in there, by Richard Cheese and Allison Crowe was just awesome ! Can't go wrong with Richard ! I still love his version of Down with the Sickness.
viva Las Vegas can't get the tune out of my head 😘I love the music 🎶
Finally I found this 🔥❤️🔥
Viva Las Vegas y viva el que le puso el nombre a la ciudad jajajaja
What a great opening lol
I LOVE this song.
Temaso elvis presley viva las vegas viva viva las vegas
Thank you comrade Zack Snyder. God bless.
Oddly enough the opening really made me miss Vegas
Yes
Viva Las Vegas
Show de bola!!! E viva Las Vegas
This song puts me in the mindset of " Get Down With The Sickness" from Dawn of the Dead👍🏽
That's because both were performed by Richard Cheese
Fun Movie to watch and great Soundtrack 👍🏻
My boy's love this version ❤ kids need to listen to music like this one
Wey no la puedo dejar de escuchar desde que vi la película
Love this song awesome
100% right...never heard it till i saw this movie! Of course you could pick the movie apart but I love it by far one of my favorite zombie movies! The idea of the ALPHA ZOMBIES BRILLANT
Zack Snyder should have directed resident evil if they wanted it to be action and Horror
And to make sure nobody was out into a coma
No offense but that would be the worst director casting ever. Apart from the guy who actually directed the Re movies which are a mistake.
You know he would've been the best at building out the whole RE universe. Especially if he could've gone nuts w/ a full Spencer Mansion movie.
A RE movie needed to be closer in tone to 28 days later than Army of the dead, because it was supposed to be a slow-paced game of survival horror and puzzles compared to going full guns blazing like House of the Dead.
I think Snyder would have taken the SHOOT THE MOTHERFUCKERS approach rather than getting the viewer into the bleak, claustrophobic atmosphere of the Spencer manor or Raccoon City.
And fuck Anderson, everyone knows he did the movies to keep Milla Jovovich's career alive.
The Best ! 🤩
It reminded me of Dead Money so much and I loved it
the movie made this song relevant again
This SoundTrack is totally awesome
Joyita de canción papá ☕
Temazo.
Las Vegas falling and thousands being killed and turned into zombies all around me and the city is being bombed and locked off
Allison crowes: hmm 🤔
Run and escape❌
Jump on a piano and sing about Las Vegas being so nice and lovely✅
That one guy who keeps playing the piano and the zombies are like: understandable have a nice day
Perfection
Great
lolzzz the part when the man won all the money but he was going to be dead LOOOOOOLLZ
Best movie
That's amazing
