Eric Erlandson wrote the music for the vast majority of Live Through This (Courtney wrote the music for "Doll Parts" and co-wrote "I Think That I Would Die"), so Courtney didn't steal anything.. she was only writing the lyrics, and they're nothing at all like Kurt's, and they're possibly the most powerful thing about Hole. Nirvana and Hole are very different bands. I love 'em both, and about equally, but for different reasons.
I think the progression sounds like Breed by Nirvana here but that could just be a coincidence, considering the style of rock that was popular at the time, whoever wrote it.
