Works exactly the same with a GM, I have seen a ford after a flash/tune ecu can log a crank learn fault. It would let me do a relarn (passed) and will log the fault immediately after the relarn procedure. The fix was flashing the ecu with the same file again no more active fault...ford oem ECU can be pain
Im no tuner....but I guess thats y i didn't know HP tuners could be used with Fords. I've always known for HP tuners to be used on GMs. Learned something new today👍

Awesome job Boss!👍😀
Thank you kindly!
I have to make notice that my 2013 GT was getting misfire codes 300, 303, &304. After clearing those, i got a "crank sensor relearn" fail code. AKA "MIL" (malfunction identification light) which could NOT be manually cleared. I read that a crank sensor relearn would fix this so i used my ProCal tuner, did the relearn and the light went away.
Do I need a relearn if I change out the crank position sensors
Maybe dumb question, GM Gen 4. Crank relearn. Final stage is "Cycle ignition" Does this mean, shut down and restart? Or Off then Acc On. There was not positive feedback to show that my relearn succeed. Using VCM ver. 4.10.7
if my vehicle wont let it rev to 4500 in park, could i still do a crank relearn, or does it just have to hit the limiter?
I have a 2011 and can’t clear the codes do so this relearn. What am I doing wrong.
My scanner says I need to rev to 4500 RPM'S and allow the scanner to take control. But my truck rev limits at 4k in neutral and park. How do I do the relearn lol
Cant Seem to find the Crank Relearn under Special Functions, all i get is Throttle Relearn and Reset All Adaptives. Am I using the wrong version ? currently on (4.10.4 latest stable ) tired the Beta and its the same.
Is there a specific step that would activate the option ?
The interface of the software seems different than the one im using. Did HP Tuners take this option ?
Please assist.
My girls vette has a Dtc for crank sensor relearn. Is that dtc OK when doing the relearn? Should I clear docs first? This code come on automatically when I sort the car..
No unfortunately the DTC needs to be off before performing the relearn. I have same issue on my car and have been driving it around for almost a year with that P0315 and random misfire because it will not perform a damn relearn. Fortunately for me is a 2012 V6 3.7, but if it was a Coyote or in your case a vette, I would schedule an appointment to the dealer if the code is set as permanent and have them reflash the ecu as they will be able to clear it out for you.
How can this be done with an HPT RTD?
Check engine light does not go away now :(
My codes wont clear they say permanent what do i do?
Did you find what to do?
@@amroelmughrabi I had problems with my catalytic converters. It won't do a crank relearn till you get everything fixed.
@@Bigmonkey34mn will retune the whole ECU then
What If it doesn’t give me the option to do the relearn
I think you need to have unlocked the license to do that
I can’t remove the p0315 code what should I do
Same here I can clear mine p0315 mine appears as a permanent code
Have the Same Code on my SRT8 trying to solve it, any tips ? Did you manage to get it off ? if so what did you do bro ? thx
@@samsiyabi4171 yea I got a retune and it disappeared but it was stuck on the dash for 8 months took 3 retunes to work lol
@@stock__5.063 Damn, I just got the HP tuner to get this thing off for now and later on tune in future. check engine buggin my OCD hard eheh .
Thanks for the info bro
@@stock__5.063 I’m having the same issue. Tuned by Lund. I even changed the crankshaft sensor and light is still on lol
It will not clear dct, so now what?
