Handing over the business to children is the biggest problem with Gujarati business persons. Mafatlal's children bankrupted 11 of his companies. What they should do is follow the system of USA and Europe where the business is handled by professional management and children get the wealth inheritance as shareholders for which they hire a family wealth manager and make diverse investments. Bill Gates is doing the same right now and families like Rockefeller family have also done the same. Deepak Parekh also a Gujarati created HDFC with professional management.
