Grojsman accord goes great with benzoin, vanilla, a little vetiver, a rose-peony heart, and a waxy note (I used rice flower shea but I dunno maybe orris would be just as good, never used it), and then a top note with coconut, aldehyde MNA, and a touch of lemon. The florals and coconut that I used were crummy fragrance oils and it still turned out great, can also use phenethyl alcohol to get the rose note.
Some nice ideas there :)
I noticed that you replace the ISO for Velvione when you had originally wrote to replace the galaxolide. Did you end up catching that?

Definitely interesting on how these variations turned out. (Please let me know how a variation of the Grosjman Accord, using the musk Cashmeran turns out, even if you don't make a video on it. I'm still trying to get ahold of some Alpha Isomethyl Ionone. Only one site sells it here, and paying shipping for just one material isn't really worth it. So I'll probably buy some in my next large order.)
Maybe as a future video, you could do a sort of Community Collaboration video, where your subscribers submit their best 6-ingredients-or-less accords made from common perfumery ingredients. Would be nice to see a large variety of accords by different members of the community. :)
Cheers Jay. Yeah I can try and let you know what it's like with Cashmeran. Yeah I wouldn't say it's worth making the whole order just for the ionone, you could substitute it for a different one for now. And yeah I think that sounds like a great idea for a video, I would be happy to try that sometime...
@@sammacer Yeah, I only got Alpha Ionone Couer. Got the wrong one by mistake. :/ Doesn't have the right scent profile. Too sweet and powdery, compared to Alpha Isomethyl Ionone which is more Violet Leaf-like and Ozonic.
@@JayMannStuff Hmm I wouldn't say it's ozonic. I think all ionones are violety. And yeah I think all the different ionone names are confusing
@@sammacer Absolutely agree with you on that one. And how perfumery aldehydes aren't always aldehydes. Material names in perfumery is definitely not one of the nicest aspects of this hobby.

I´ve made my variation with dihydro ionone beta instead of regular ionone beta, for me it smells pretty more masculine
Hi! I just discovered your channel. I'm not going to try perfumery firsthand but I'm furiously curios so I'm happy I found it 🙂 I was trying to understand if the chestnut in a perfume can be natural, extracted in some ways, or if it's always an accord. Or if maybe it's purely synthetic... and in some way I stumbled here. Can I ask if is there, to your knowledge, some kind of "list" of the most used accords with notes that can create them? Thanks a lot!
Hey. I'm not aware of any chestnut raw materials in perfumery so most likely it would be an accord. There's no such list to my knowledge :)

How many Grojsman variations are there? If this is Sophia's version for Tresor, the others what are they? Are there more than two? Just curious... Hope you won't mind if I ask.
There are limitless variations as you could make whatever you want as a variation. I didn't find anything more specific when I did the research for this video though - it's not like the variations are 'official' or anything. And of course I don't mind you asking :)
Way too late but I'm wondering if just adding pink peppercorn to the tresor style would enhance the rose without adding rose givco?
Enhance is maybe not the right word, but combine well with; sure - the only way to find out is to test it!

A couple of people asked about this in the past so for sure this is something I can do
all Ionones and Methyl Ionones can be masculine or feminine its very dependent on the materials you use with it.
