The world's first completion of Hollow Knight hitless. Uses the Glass Soul mod.
RULES: Any% No Major Glitches (speedrunning ruleset), Glass Soul Mod (any damage = death), Steel Soul (file deleted on death).
If you're curious why I took the blue health in King's Pass, the Glass Soul Mod increases your damage by health - 4. This additional damage lets you perform a quick kill on False Knight, but resets when you bench at the Ancient Mound.

**IMPORTANT** This is a modded run. The mod is called Glass Soul. Because you can't use Fury with it, it increases your damage slightly based on your total masks (health - 4).

Idk if hallownest times moves 1:1 with our time, but if it does, this means that this bug showed up, talked to almost no one, and banished the infection in not even an hour.

@mehylotic That may be the case but teaching someone something takes time. The same thing with smithing. Properly crafted knives and swords take a fair bit of time if smithed by hand.

I got stuck a lot in my playthroughs, the longest on watchers knights.
And I paniced when I encounterd Nosk, died, and went straight to Jiji.
And I got stuck on Hornet... twice...

Another thing, in normal mode, you can skip false knight by shade skip into resting grounds, so the minimum is 4
Edit: hornet is optional because of vengeful spirit skips and Cruz mother is required to get the the area I was talking about near resting grounds, but deep nest can let you into ancient basin, then city, so 3 bosses

Not quite since everyone moves at normal speed. Ascended and radiant bosses are alot faster than normal

Delicate flower was easy, just game end all of the enemies in the path and then just walk through without benching

@alpha I didn't do it with the speedrun methods but in my first run I actually killed Monomon without Shadow Dash or Isma Tear

I needed 36 tries and after that boss I stopped counting because it was just depressing and frustrating, but I'm sure that there were like a hundred tries spent at hornet.... Now I'm fighting her the second time and all I want is the easy, slow first version...

Are nobody talking about how Path of pain no hit is probably harder than to beat the whole game no hit? I mean he’s speedrunning so of course that’s really hard but if you casually beat Hollow knight no hit it would be way easier as you could play extra safe, however Path of pain cannot be beat by just playing safe (also you could train in another save file to beat the bosses in radiant difficulty without using any abilities you don’t have yet in your 1hit run and when your sure you got it do it in your actual run and it shouldn’t take more than a couples of tries (especially as THK is pretty slow and easy))

@@ReeversUhHuhpath of pain runs are far shorter and less punishing for failing though. with this if you die to watcher knights or something thats half an hour of progress gone down the drain, more if youre not speedrunning
path of pain is precise but beating it normally is basically just a no hit run but segmented. after beating it my first time i didnt get hit all too much my second run so i could imagine doing a hitless run myself. with the full game id also imagine it possible but far more difficult because of how long you have to go while playing perfectly

absolutely amazing run. That crystal heart dash over the edge of the shallow acid pool blew my mind. I tried doing the same skip on my casual playthrough and could never grab the edge quick enough.

Seeing three defeated steel soul files before he even started was pretty funny but also kinda depressing.
This is amazing, man. Well done. This is true mastery of the game’s combat and traversal methods. The way you navigate and traverse some of these rooms impresses me just as much as the fact that you cleared these bosses (and all other enemies/hazards) without taking a single hit.
This was incredible. Mind blowing amounts of skill and timing. Thank you for sharing.
I remember getting super consistent with NKG that I actually no-hitted him the first time I beat him. I felt super proud cause most people say it took them like weeks or months and it took me two days. Then I watch this video and I haven’t been the same.
I thought i was good for first-trying radiance wthout getting hit on my first steel soul run.
Learning that AbsRadiance destroys me was already a heavy blow, but this speedrun... i heard my soul shatter
I took three days to beat NKG, but I played for like seven hours lol. I have yet to beat him no hit, I always use the kinda lame strategy:Deep focus+shape of unn.

also when you have inventory open while falling your falling speed increases (its a small bug), in my english version it doesn't work tho
@@1Grainer1 It got patched a while ago. Just play on an older version via steam
1Grainer1 old post but you can still do it, it just takes I think a frame-perfect menu press as you fall off a ledge. It won’t let you enter the inventory while already falling anymore

Thanks! The technique is called Menu Dropping. It uncaps your fallspeed, cancels landing stun, and can be used to cancel dashes.
