No one would return reusable cutlery, they would take them home or bin them. I used to work at a McCafe and people would steal or bin cutlery and those little china sauce bowls. Most people would leave them on the table but we would need to resupply every week
They don't have a choice. They are literally worked to death in Japan thus no time for the simple things in life like being at home cooking a balanced meal.
This is unique stuff. Only if we had these vending machines in India, life would have been easy. They have healthy meals with great packaging too and hot food version are available. WOW !!!
I eat a lot of Stouffer's, its actual food and pretty decent, but often does not beat others real cooking skills, I have tried Swansons and such and those are just disgusting and bland to me as its not the same real food or their recipe is just that bland..
If such a place existed n the US, I would keep them in business all by myself! But unlike the sane, clean Island of Singapore, the American store might not be profitable, because in America you'd have to hire an armed guard to make sure some nutcase does not spraypaint all over the place, or try to rob the machines, for food or loose change. I wish America had a "tap and go" system like so many places in Asia, but the wonderful system has not been popular here :( Thank you for a wonderful glimpse of what life can be like in a genuine culture and country.
I watched one video of yours and Im afraid there’s no turning back! I’m so glad I came across your channel. It’s sooooo relaxing and satisfying! One of My new favorite ASMR channel 👍🏼
The pizza vending machine remains my favorite!! This is pretty cool and amazing, but would be a little hesitant trying fish and prawns from a vending machine haha. Also, how is this person still hungry, unless they just love the vending line idea. Really cool.
Those Arizona Teas are sold here in the USA for REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY cheap. Thanks for the video! I just love seeing all these interesting vending machines!!!
I love how the screen display shows succulent stir fry in a flaming wok... then it spits out a T.V. Dinner. I couldn't stop laughing. I bet it's better than "Swanson's".
In the Doris Day/Cary Grant movie, That Touch of Mink, she meets her friend several times at the automat the friend , played by the wife from the Honeymooners TV show, works at. You can see how a automat was in America. Automats had cooks cooking the food in the back so they are a bit different.
Its a good concept and I wish we had stuff like this in the UK, but I wasn't really sold on the quality of those hot meals. The vending machines in Japan serve up much better looking food.
those hot meals look like those frozen meals you buy in the supermarket for $3. i've purchased a few of those frozen meals in the supermarket before out of curiousity and they all come in the same black tray. it looks exactly like that.
These types of machines are not new and have been around since the 1900's. Once very popular in the UK and Europe. Served hot and cold foods like in the video. They were called Automats.
The only hot food that you can get somewhat fresh are deep fried type of food, like fries. If it has complicated cooking and prep, it would be frozen. So Fries, Corndogs, Onion Rings, and other Junk foods can possibly be vended freshly from a frozen state, but others risk condensation from the cooking process unless you incorporate expensive prep functions like a steam injector to moisturize the food (spaghetti gets rather watery sauce and the noodle doesn't heat up evenly) and cook evenly.
The only dish I think works well was that UA-cam video of a old man who cooks rice (he grows them locally) daily and seals them fresh as packs and put curry packs alongside them. The machine simply keeps the package hot which keeps the curry and rice hot but separated. That guy has been doing that in Japan for years. Having a steam injector and a way to eject the colder steam, from white rice while the machine heats up a foil bag of curry works well for any vending machines... Liquid sauced food like curry is fine no matter the packaging.
And finally, MRE type foods that can cook in flameless ration heating units can work in these vending machines due to steam technologies... I would always suggest saucy food to heat up separately to a main source of grains like rice. Steaming food is much healthier to say the least. Hmm what if someone created dim sum vending machines (dumplings, sui mai, pork and chives, and rice noodles, etc) since all you need to do is steam them?
This is great. As a single person, even though I am a chef, this is still a cool concept. I like the idea of people making their own food but on a convenience level, I could completely see how this is appealing. But we couldn't have them in the U.S. Too many scumbags (probably teenagers) would be trying to break them or rip them off. Our people don't have the respect of Asian countries...
Toast the ghost ---- I totally agree with you! I would love to invest into opening up a market like this. Maybe it would need a security guard/ technician to help people with any problems or difficulties!?
Mainly why we wont see them over here outside of Asia, i cant help but feel people would vandalize the machines or as previously commented, someone would try to make a lawsuit
I very much enjoy the visual aesthetic here. Fresh and clean. nice and modern. The packaging design for the hot meals was fantastic, and the machines also provided some entertainment while the food and drink were being prepared. I'd pay a bit extra to try all this, if just once, for the new experience. I also enjoy the accessory packet that came with the hot meal. _Nice!_ The chicken with mushroom gravy, broccoli, and mashed potato may have looked a bit unpleasant, but I took one look at it and thought, "Man, I bet that tasted wonderful!" --- it just had that sort of aura to it once the cover was peeled away. 11:24 _Crayon Shin-Chan_ ?!! What the heck is that?! XD (p.s. you picked my favorite AriZona tea, though I usually get the sugar-free version!) Thanks for the fun video!
Crayon Shin-Chan is a Japanese manga where the character is all about his big butt lol. It's actually about a five year old boy with inappropriate language and his family and friends adventures. Bit strange but funny. Lots of confectionery and snacks and other random merchandise with him on it. There's even been a train covered with his pictures!

I'm lost. The oranges had rinds before they were dropped into the juicer, yet they were able to to get squeezed successfully. was the machine able to remove the peel and discard it, prior to squeezing the juice out?

those hot meals look like those frozen meals you buy in the supermarket.. i've purchased a few of those frozen meals in the supermarket before out of curiousity. they have a large variety like thai food etc and they all come in the same black tray. it looks exactly like that. the japanese vending machines look like it's actually made fresh and not packaged frozen.
I liked the option that you could get these hot or frozen so you could take home frozen and heat it up there if you wanted, it even gave microwave instructions. Certainly the same things you got at the store. Was pricing about the same?
This is truly beyond me!! I don’t know what country you are in, but from what I can sense this is a very CLEAN efficient, money cost way of eating!!
This was SO COOL!! We need this in America!😍
Brown Beauty80 No, we don't. Thanks anyway.
@WhirlingDarvish Even the orange juice machine one? That's frequesly squeezed then causes cancer?
i guess
wow! 😳😳😳
that Orange juice vending machine 😋💕
If I hadn't seen this but only been told about it, I would not have believed it. Japan is so far ahead of the U.S. in this field that it's truly amazing. Thanks for sharing this fantastic experience.
All the cool foreign drinks and you chose Arizona tea.. 😭
Could've chose a coke
Arizona tea is foreign... if you live in Singapore 😉
Honestly, I would of picked the container that looked the coolest. 🤣
@@PJ-kj3ef nice plot twist
JxstNinja'D it’s probably foreign to them.
Can you imagine one of these in your home. Someone comes out and reloads it every 6 to 8 weeks? (Good grief, I'm lazy.)
Pugs Buddy that is dystopian
I like the way you think
Not lazy, efficient. Why should we spend time planning, buying, cooking and cleaning if we do not have to? Why, why, why??????
You have done a great job. Thank you. I like the close-up pictures food.
I find it Hilarious that they have corn on the cob in the snack vending machines
your videos are amazing in their simplicity and I'm completely addicted to your channel. thanks from the United States :)
I just spent almost 20 minutes watching some dude eat microwaved meals.
just admit it you regret nothing XD
I like these videos they remind me to go visit my Japanese family lol.
Akchually xhe's non-binary, you BIGOT!!!
love the idea but way to much packaging. going into the trash lots of waste. that part I do not like. pretty soon everyone is going to be living in a dump. unless you can recycle without causing more pollution
Teresa Johnson Singapore not so strict about recycling yet, maybe one day
Shut up with that tree humping bullshit
japanese are worse than this. this doesn't look too bad. the japanese ones look like plastic overload.
Our big blue bubble can't say it herself so here you go thank you thank you thank you! You are seeing a problem and you are helping to solve it! Even with words your message will spread and maybe we can get one person to open their eyes to the problem that is trash... Get one person to start recycling! That would be a giant difference and Mother Earth will remember it!
Also anytime anyone bullies you via the Internet take the one to two seconds that it takes to report and block them! it will help maintain your own inner happiness LOL as they are clearly fighting some demons of Their Own... ✌😊
Great Video. I loved that you had no annoying Music in the background. I need more videos like this of you going out and showing Unique stuff like this. TY
I love this channel. The person is humble and brave, buying anything and to let us viewers understand whats around the world. Thank you so much!
How is this brave lol
Love this concept, would be great to have a machine that sold reusable cutlery and a couple of recycle bins.
Too bad world isn't like u tree hugger
@@Vampybattie why are you so aggressive against people who'd like to see it use materials that are better for the environment. What's the deal bro
No one would return reusable cutlery, they would take them home or bin them. I used to work at a McCafe and people would steal or bin cutlery and those little china sauce bowls. Most people would leave them on the table but we would need to resupply every week
the chickenmaster cause he’s a bitch. He can’t help it
Bella - He isn’t living with College People still getting money from their relatives or some 30 something Sugar Daddy.
This looks so cool! You can literally see everything that's happening inside the machine.
I love the fact your at least trying some south Indian food! Makes me so happy!
Japan has vending machines that are fill twice a day with fresh foods because the culture there loves the vending machines
They don't have a choice. They are literally worked to death in Japan thus no time for the simple things in life like being at home cooking a balanced meal.
Me too n I'm in america
Those are the most sophisticated looking vending machines that I've ever seen
This is unique stuff. Only if we had these vending machines in India, life would have been easy. They have healthy meals with great packaging too and hot food version are available. WOW !!!
This is just microwaved tv dinners lol
I eat a lot of Stouffer's, its actual food and pretty decent, but often does not beat others real cooking skills, I have tried Swansons and such and those are just disgusting and bland to me as its not the same real food or their recipe is just that bland..
Yeah it’s def not “ fresh food “ as the screen would make you think while your waiting for it to finish microwaving .
Yeah, so funny, the guy above your comment was fascinated about ordering it frozen!! :-))))
Ikr and they are trying to make it look like it's fresh food made in the box lol
plnkfloydian Try Michael Angelo's eggplant parmesan. Their lasagna is delicious too.
thinking about how convenient this is to have under an apartment building- and it's not really that expensive either. i love innovation
America would and could definitely benefit from this! Food should be available to all! How convenient to just have a vending machine
I am sure the people there love having this..now in quarantine.
damn, I wish we had this in the states! this is brilliant.. I mean working long hours and not wanting to cook at night, This is perfect!
I wish the UK had stuff like this!
I watched one video of yours and Im afraid there’s no turning back! I’m so glad I came across your channel. It’s sooooo relaxing and satisfying! One of My new favorite ASMR channel 👍🏼
I love all of these videos... i completely lose track of time watching
If this was in my apartment building i would never buy groceries.
Seems like a terrible waste to dispense knives and forks each time. There should be an option button if you already have them
wise people should use cutlery that they already have (and save the other cutlery for the next emergencies)
The pizza vending machine remains my favorite!! This is pretty cool and amazing, but would be a little hesitant trying fish and prawns from a vending machine haha. Also, how is this person still hungry, unless they just love the vending line idea. Really cool.
thank you so much for this video really its amazing .
I'm oddly fascinated.
Me 2
Those Arizona Teas are sold here in the USA for REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY cheap. Thanks for the video! I just love seeing all these interesting vending machines!!!
I love the idea it just seems like soooo much packaging
That box for the spoon and fork is so unnecessary
It's actually there so you don't burn your hands. You carry the food on the box. Like a hotpad.
nadi nadi yoooo I said that too
nadi nadi where the knife
They should add another option to not get the silverware if you all ready have one
The whole lot is unnecessary, it could be wooden chop sticks and card food trays. but after all it's just a glorified freezer with microwave combo.
i love this kind of videos ,it give me chills
3:21 I SAW THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH
@@AccurateAsian An error computers have
We also need something like this everywhere in Germany 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This takes vending machines to a whole new level and then some :)
I love how the screen display shows succulent stir fry in a flaming wok... then it spits out a T.V. Dinner. I couldn't stop laughing. I bet it's better than "Swanson's".
I love that Pocari Sweat is a vending machine beverage. So cool!
I did not expect to see Arizona Iced tea in that machine let alone multiple flavors, cool 👍👍
In the Doris Day/Cary Grant movie, That Touch of Mink, she meets her friend several times at the automat the friend , played by the wife from the Honeymooners TV show, works at. You can see how a automat was in America.
Automats had cooks cooking the food in the back so they are a bit different.
Just wanted to say, thank you for pointing out the napkin.
No lie, I screamed and gave a standing ovation when you brought the Arizona Tea because that is so good..... Great video.... wish we had these.
5:26 When he put the spoon and fork in the table without any tissue had my anxiety go fucking crazy.
That's it, I'm moving to singapore
I love how you picked those food/items that were not usually being picked ❤ It's nice to know how they taste like
Its a good concept and I wish we had stuff like this in the UK, but I wasn't really sold on the quality of those hot meals.
Dang! Arizona's are 2 for a $1.00 in USA! Mix and match any flavors. I guess it's expensive because it's imported there.
This place is VERY peaceful, I like it.
I'd live with that.
Just because he got the tea I liked the vid
"Refreshing, light and tangy"
Throws juice away after 1 sip 😂
It was an empty container, he drunk it all.
T.M. Will
“drank”
sentino68 don’t be that bitch 😂😂
The spaghetti looks amazing~! Now im getting hungry...
Huge liability. One dumbass gets burned by the food and it's a huge lawsuit.
Jantina Haspels lol so true
Mainly why we wont see them over here outside of Asia, i cant help but feel people would vandalize the machines or as previously commented, someone would try to make a lawsuit
You won't have as much waste
There were vending machine cafes in the US in the 1930's and 40's.
This is a true AUTOMAT! The concept had been tried out in New York City back in the 1950s but it was short-lived.
_Nice!_
The chicken with mushroom gravy, broccoli, and mashed potato may have looked a bit unpleasant, but I took one look at it and thought, "Man, I bet that tasted wonderful!" --- it just had that sort of aura to it once the cover was peeled away.
11:24 _Crayon Shin-Chan_ ?!! What the heck is that?! XD (p.s. you picked my favorite AriZona tea, though I usually get the sugar-free version!)
Thanks for the fun video!
Crayon Shin-Chan is a Japanese manga where the character is all about his big butt lol. It's actually about a five year old boy with inappropriate language and his family and friends adventures. Bit strange but funny. Lots of confectionery and snacks and other random merchandise with him on it. There's even been a train covered with his pictures!
thank you for explaining -- I am a big fan of the glorious little Shin-chan, though!
so sorry! I should have been more clear: I was wondering what those products are! :D
@@HayTatsuko Those were either sweet or savoury puff snacks.
thank you! :)
In italy something like this would never work because WE know what great autentic food is. Not this industrial shit
i am lucky to be born here
If I could I’d put this in my room and make some instant snacks every 2 seconds
Some of the food looked like it was an old hungry man tv dinner you find in the back of the freezer, smells of old socks, onions and garlic! But a very cool idea and would be sold out in usa schools, malls ect ..... especially the fresh orange juice thats awesome 👌
looks decent enough for vending machine food.
Dang, I really wanted them to order the “sweet corn” lol. I have never seen a vending machine that has corn on the cob. But nothing in Japan or Singapore surprises me anymore. 😂😂 I’ve seen it all through this channel. ❤️
I'm lost. The oranges had rinds before they were dropped into the juicer, yet they were able to to get squeezed successfully. was the machine able to remove the peel and discard it, prior to squeezing the juice out?
the oranges got cut in half as its pushed into a blade if you look carefully
you missed the best part of the video. you can watch the machine slicing the oranges in half.
google orange juicing machines and you'll understand
Either they went there multiple days for content or they were truly feasting that day lol
