    As always another brilliant detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲
    Please, next video if you could give a zoom in on the exact area where the tool will have to go would be perfect, and keep producing more videos about the R 18

      Thank you very much for your comment. I will make sure to show more details going forward. Anything particular you would like to see about the R18?

      Hi, moving from R18B to Classic. Anything done to front forks for adjustment ? R18B has automatic preload so never thought about manual adjustment . I weigh 78 with riding kit and lest assume 10 kegs for full fuel. So I am all the way out on preload?

    Very helpful thanks. I had written off the suspension thinking it’s terrible, I will adjust it and see if it’s better

      Makes a huge difference and it’s more sensitive than people would lead you to believe. I’ve set mine on 8 clockwise turns and it’s about spot on for me, at 115kg.

      Would it be the same for the Transcontinental?

      The TC has a different suspension setup. It should adjust automatically there.

    I first mine to 115 ,my weight with gear on, but then i went for a ride with my daughter, so set it at 190 kg. I then forgot I'd done it and took it out by myself. The first thing i noticed was a much improved cornering clearance, and although the ride was slightly harsher, it livened up the handling as well. I compromised and st it at 170 kg, which i find gives the best of both worlds, comfort, and handling.

      Thank you for sharing! Indeed increasing the preload will help with clearance if you don't mind the harsher ride.
      One thing I did was investing in a 21'' wheel and a 18'' wheel and all the problems with scratching disappeared. Ride safe!

    Nice video ❤ very important people take a test drive and say it's so hard 😮because the seller doesn't reset the transport setting!!!! some people buy a new suspension!!

    Totally awesome! Rear suspension setting is set too hard from factory.

    So, counterclockwise all the way is the softest correct?

    • @hypeandspin
      @hypeandspin  6 місяців тому +1

      Simply put, yes. However, this means you are fully 'relaxing' the spring with no pre-load. That means that on a bumpy road it could be experienced as even harder because of the dampening. Meaning, if the spring is getting compressed rapidly in succession, it does not have time to fully extract again (because of the dampening). Therefore, a 'harder' setting which is appropriate to the load is better.

    Great vid, what seat is on the bike ? . I have the same bike looking to get a more comfortable seat for longer rides and as it’s a first edition have issues finding ones that fit
