"Come Back Home" is a classic hit from the group that invented K-Pop, Seo Tai-ji and Boys, and it's from 1995. The song is about the runaway problem that was plaguing South Korea at the time, and was credited with helping a lot of families reunite. It was one of their biggest hits. The concert Lauryn mentioned was Seo-Taiji's 25th anniversary show. His importance to Korean pop music can't be overstated. At the show, he invited BTS to perform six songs with him, and he announced that he was "passing the torch" to them as the new leaders of the new generation of musicians. Why did he choose BTS? Well...
Because like him, they use music to bring awareness to social injustice. It might not be obvious to us, but BTS have quite a few protest songs that are very critical of the Korean establishment. They even wrote lyrics critical of the former president's policies before most people were willing to. She was later impeached and sent to jail for corruption.

When I initially got into BTS I didn’t like DNA either, but after really getting into their music, I suddenly saw the DNA mv again, and I absolutely loved it immediately.
I just watched it! I loved it! But, I can see how it doesn't go as hard as some of the other songs, but I like the message of the song ♥️🤍
For me it's both DNA and idol. It sounded generic to me the first time so I didn't give Bts a chance and ignored them. But now I have both songs and a lot more on my playlist😂 I love Bts now💜
