Hey there, I have a suggestion for the dining area. I feel your second living room (the one near the kitchen) would make a fantastic dining room, complete with fireplace and view of the backyard. Your formal living room is already stunning, I think using that as your main living room and putting the frame tv above the fireplace would be amazing. You can face part of the sectional couch towards the tv for viewing. The benefit is this can be done relatively quickly (like in a week, it can even be done in time for Christmas) since no walls need to be broken. Anyway, its just an idea. Of course whatever you do itll be beautiful. Congrats on the stunning renovations.

I suggest painting the front porch tile black--it will pop against the stone by the door. The floors look wonderful! They make the living room look bigger. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts during this difficult time. 💗

I think painting the the tiles gray would be rich. Black would be too dark. I love the idea of another 15 ft. tree, can't wait to see.
I agree, grey for the tiles. They will blend in with stone part of the wall .

A little trick I saw someone else do was put the top of the tree on the tree stand, decorate it, then add the second smallest under it, decorate it & work your way up! If you try that, lemme know if it works cuz my tree is on the taller side and I have to put it up this weekend too!😂 sooooo excited to see BOTH 15ft’ers up!!!!❤❤

I’m thinking of getting the 12ft skeleton next year. I saw where another person used their skeletons in November & made it look like they were putting up the Christmas lights in the front of the house. It was so funny! Then the lights & decorations are up & the weekend after Thanksgiving you can just take the skeletons down. Putting up lights when it’s cold out isn’t fun but this will be a way for me to get the lights up when it’s a little warmer out. #NortheastWeather

Love the idea of a French chateau so paint the patio tiles in a black and white checkerboard pattern. Paint the house white with some subtle black accents. Maybe some wrought iron flower boxes on all the windows!
Gray title might soften the area , while tying into the door color 🚪. 🤔 As far as siding on the house, I don't mind the stone 🪨 and stucco. For me I would do a beautiful fireplace in the backyard, I just love landscaping!
So glad you moved the trees to the corners! Last year they were claustrophobically close to the fireplace. Looking forward to how you deck out your halls!

I like the idea of doing siding. Especially if it's hardie board. It holds up to the elements so much better than stucco. As far as the tile outside, a gray paint for now would look awesome, but when you start on the outside, I think you should get rid of it all together. Thanks for the video! ❤ to chewy, he's so sweet!

Well, as usual I'm dreading all of the extreme work Christmas is, just grudgingly took my Halloween down to do fall. October=Halloween, November=Fall and December=Christmas (only by absolute force). The house looks fantastic and I know how fabulous your Christmas decor will be, excited to see it. Wouldn't even notice the tile color but I always fall on black, but I know you will pick the perfect one for you. Lol, looking to downsize my tree because it's so much work and nobody ever notices at my house anyway.

Paint the porch tile a light to medium grey, then stencil a white geometric stencil to each tile. They are large enough to not be too busy, would look encaustic and very French country as a porch entry. 👌🏻

You could do black and white tile. It's a classic design making a comeback. I would paint the stucco and maybe get some inspiration from European homes with the mix of old and new that they do so well.

As for your front step, since you will changing the exterior, I would leave it as-is...change the step & the exterior at once. (I agree w/ you...the pink is not the best, however, it coordinates w/ what is there now.)

For the front porch tile situation I think I would just get a larger outdoor area rug. As for the siding/stucco thoughts. I like siding better than stucco, but if every other house in the whole neighborhood is stucco, I'd stick with stucco. I am SO excited to see your Christmas decorating !!! I love the new print from Home Good's with the Currier and Ives feel to it.

Tiles outside, I would do wood flooring to blend in with your indoor wood flooring… and clad your posts to look like wooden ones…
Also, you could use the smaller 9ft tree in front/next to one of the larger 15ft trees, for a layered forest look ❤🎄🎄

I would think twice about painting the tiles. I painted mine grey and after a couple of years with the rain and sprinkler hitting it, it’s starting to peel.
