Ted first appeared on Happy Days in 1980 and last in 1984. He first appeared on MWC in 1989 and last in 1997. Two hundred and twenty-eight episodes of those two shows. Fifty-nine of Love Boat. Seventy-three of Hope and Faith. So maybe you could get back on the short bus you rode in on.
@braziliantexatlantis7485 how little you know. He was known as a reliable actor but always hired when a show started running out of ideas and needed a new character. He got the rep as show killer because he was never in the cast in the beginning when a show was fresh but always at the end when it was stale.
False. When he joined shows like Happy Days and the Love Boat they were near cancellation and if anything he helped extend their run for a few more years.
@@bthere100 False. His addition to the show always means that the show is in decline and has begun flailing around and that a major member of the cast has left the show. No one remembers any episode that McGinley is in. None of his episodes are ever considered among a show's canon "good" episodes. The fact that Rich hadn't seen any of the episodes from this season of Shrinking proves that the McGinley effect is in full force. One just instinctively loses interest in a show by knowing McGinley is on it. I think it bears investigating if McGinley was on the Simpsons in the late 90s. It would explain the show's slide into irrelevance.
That would be on you then son. Most of my favorite MWC episodes were during the Jefferson D'Arcy era. He was the best actor on Hope and Faith and awesome on Shrinking. Great on the Baxters. Great on stuff like Revenge of the Nerds. Happy Days was past its prime well before McGinley got there and if anything he helped extend its stay and Love Boat the same.
He played water polo, talked about Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, and Reggie Bush. He was seen with Dick Butkus and Hulk Hogan on this show. Close enough to sports for me to hear Ted’s great stories.
I guess Roku makes Rich put actors on this show. Sad.....I tune in for sports talk, not promoting shows on Roku apps. We want sports talk, not actor talk.
Ted is just fantastic. Such a versatile actor. I feel like he could play any part. Now I want to re-watch Married With Children. 😂
And great hair1
Great to see Ted again!
McGinley is an underrated actor. He is always good in everything he does. You don't keep getting hired if you don't have something going for you
Lets hope The Rich Eisen Show does not get cancelled after this!
Jefferson Darcy!
An underrated classic sitcom character 👌
Ted was hilarious -- I think Married is second to NewsRadio as best comedy TV ensemble cast in history
Jefferson Darcy: true hero in my world 🫡
Vice president of No MA'AM!
@ lol
Ted is great at everything he does.
Ted seems like a great guy. My first movie of his was Revenge of the Nerds back in high school. I liked him in "Redeemed" also.
Great stories. Anyone who hasn't watched Shrinkage, do yourself a favour and watch it. It's a really good show.
Rich always has the best guests
His Derek character in Shrinking is hilarious
He’s still got the hair! What a career from the Love Boat to Now
My second favorite character (Jefferson) on my favorite show. Glad I stumbled upon this; subscribed.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Ted McGinley on Mad Men (Season 6, Episode 4)
Always enjoy anything McGinley is in
5:18 I had no idea Mr. McGinley was on a Water Polo scholarship at USC. Fight On!!! ✌✌✌
It’s amazing that it’s actually a thing.
Great episode
Ted is so real…so honest
Teds always been great at the roles he’s played.
Sam Kinison was on one of the early epof Married With Children
Sam was great. Was so bummed when we lost him.
As far as I'm concerned, Ted McGinley played the protagonist in Revenge of the Nerds
Ted's first Married with Children episode: How Green Was My Apple, Jefferson never found a job 😂and Griff at the shoe 👞 store great additions.
Well that triggered some great memories of Harvey Lembeck’s class with my old pal, Ted. 44 years?! Insane. Destri
Nerds! Nerds! Nerds!
I want a tshirt with ‘Booger was no trip to the beach ‘ on it
seems like a good guy. wish they had talked about Sports Night
“That’s my pie.” 😂
Oh wow. His voice hasn't changed one, bit. Amazing. And the laugh is identical omg... i'm having a moment right now excuse me lol
❤still crushing on Ted🥰
I remember Ted from Revenge of the Nerds.
In1984 Entertainment Tonight did a segment with Ted about plsying Waterpolo.
Jefferson Darcy!
Ted was always the guy you wanted to be. You wanted his qualities.
Such a winner
Ted was considered for a time as an anchor. In the context of that whenever he was brought on to a show it would be canceled soon after.

Ted is the kinda guy you wish you could just sit down with and have a Beer and BS with. Really cool dude
The ship's photographer............
Was his character named Ace?
@@louiehernandez1477 Yup.
Can’t believe that Rich didn’t ask him about Sports Night!
Love Jefferson D'arcy
If they ever decide to do a bio-pic about the late, great Paul Lynde, McGinley has got to play him.
Wrong. Glen Campbell. Looks JUST like him.
D Train is an absolute fkng delight in this series!!! GTF on board
He was great in Joker. Joker 2 not so much.
Stan Gable!!!
Stan Gable recovered nicely after losing his spot on the Greek Counsel.
Whoa now. It’s a C-list if you’re from the right generation.
Ted McGinley’s on The Rich Eisen Show, and Florida State is at the Alpha Beta house desperately looking for Stan Gable to run a serviceable offense. 😂
Can Rich stop with the "That's our production value" comment everytime they run the true or false segment! 🤦🏼♂️
This still doesn't explain why he married a chicken🐔
AlphaBetas
The Sitcom Killer
Nope. Think for yourself, there's this thing called reality
Ah, Ted... the patron saint of "Your Show Is About To Be Cancelled."

He was on MWC 7 years, which was longer than David Garrison who played Steve.
Sorry, my bad. Patron saint of Your Show is About to Be Irrelevant But Will Manage To Somehow Stay On The Air For Another Half-Decade.
Isn't this a sports show?

@@ThomasCourt-c2f he was promoting a show. They said nothing to do with sports.
I thought this was a sports podcast. Not that I think we shouldn't have other interests, just saying.
He’s been doing these for a long time.

I love actor talk
I tune in only for the actor stuff, and I believe many people are the same way.
Wow, that's like a D-list celebrity
What list are you?
