- Actor Henry Winkler joins The Rich Eisen Show in-studio to discuss the motivation for his heel-turned-nice guy acting coach Gene Cousineau in HBO’s ‘Barry,’ reveals that he really, really, REALLY wants to meet Patrick Mahomes and even offers to serve him a homemade meal for the Chiefs QB, and in a round of ‘Celebrity True or False’ reveals how he missed out on making a lot of money on the ‘Rocky’ franchise, that he only rode his ‘Happy Days’ motorcycle once (and crashed it), how the ‘Jump the Shark’ episode came about, and why he took the role of Chuck in ‘Night Shift’ instead of the Bill Blazejowski role that went to Michael Keaton.
Watch the Rich Eisen Show, an Emmy-nominated sports talk show, streaming live on NBC's Peacock, Audacy, and SiriusXM Ch. 85 Monday through Friday, noon--3 PM ET.

Henry is down to earth and hilarious...truly an American treasure. What a guest.
My son's company catered an event at henry's house last weekend, Winkler introduced himself to everyone working the event, real humble and nice guy.
Is it possible to NOT like this guy? Seriously, I can't even imagine.
I could listen to Eisen interview Henry once a week. Rich let’s his guests do most of the talking. Some hosts talk over their guests. Not Eisen. The treasure trove of true stories Henry has! 😂
I met Henry on December 12th. Just a quick exchange of hellos and thank yous. I was at an event in Portland, Oregon, but it was one of the most wonderful nights of my life. I'll never forget it as long as I live. He was absolutely amazing. He stayed after the show to take pictures with every member of the audience (probably around 500 people). I just love him to pieces.
Love Henry Winkler -- Night Shift is still one of my favorite movies, and he's brilliant in it!
Agreed❤️
Henry Winkler is numbers 1-5 of the ten nicest people who ever lived.
Exactly❤️
This was an extremely fun episode to watch. At times I got the feeling you were herding cats. Henry Winkler is an amazing person. What an interview!
LOL...that's what I was thinking. He's either drunk(a little) or he's just a legend and at 76 and having played one of the most iconic roles of all time...has just zero fucks left to give. Something pops into his head, it comes out the mouth...as it should with legends like that!
Best Celebrity True or False EVER!!!! What a great interview.
I really hope he is true, and not a false human. I never knew who he was until I saw Barry. And I like him.
I wish the interview would have gone another 2 hours. What a funny kind man he is
at
That was the best celebrity true or false ever. Henry is incredibly funny. His role in Arrested Development was so good.
Henry Winkler has always been a class act. I remember hearing a story in that 2021 Netflix Pat Morita Documentary about how when Morita got wasted before a Happy Days Anniversary Show Henry covered for him with no judgement. Really, Really good dude.
Protect Henry Winkler at all costs! HE'S A GEM!!!!
Is this the new Betty White?

ahhh!?🤔
100%
This is easily the best episode of the Rich Eisen show! Bring Henry back once a month! Hes gold!!!
I have been watching all the true or false videos. Once I had watched Henry's, I wanted to watch the interview. So good.
‘As a short Jew………..” best line ever
This might be one of my favorite interviews ever, how can you not love Henry?! ❤️🎬
I could listen to him all day long. What an amazing story teller.
Probably my favorite episode ever
This is one of the most enjoyable interviews I have seen. Pure Gold!!!
Class Act.
American Icon.
Heart of Gold.
I love Henry! What a joy, I love how he has is own stream of thought and just keeps going when Rich tries to get a word in edgewise. And what a great story about Rocky.
If it were anyone else constantly interrupting the host, it would be annoying, but with Henry it was just pure gold. I couldn't help but smile every time
What a funny, humble, and nice man. He seems like a pleasure to interview. So many awesome stories he can drop about any topic.
Oh my God, he killed me at the end of the Jump the Shark story...'F*ck Em' indeed
What a Legend , Happy Days was one of the best shows ever !
Well, not really. Those of us who grew up with it just remember it fondly because it brings back childhood memories. But, try getting through it now, it's still charming but mostly unwatchable. Same with shows like Family Ties and White Shadow.
@@gmh471 yes I get it completely but your missing the point , simpler times ya the shows were cheesy but they were feel good shows , and bring back fond memories I wish I go have back , that's just me personally
A truly great interview. Winkler is pure gold.
Just spent three days with Henry at a fishing lodge, and he could not have been a more perfect guy. Kind, approachable, engaging, gracious. And his wife Stacey is a doll.
I wish I'd seen this clip prior to meeting him......pretty dang hilarious. As others have said, what a treasure he truly is.
Such an enjoyable interview, Rich! It can't be easy when your subject grabs the steering wheel and drives the dialogue, but you handled it beautifully by stepping aside and just letting Henry go wherever he wanted.
Such amazing stories from one of the all-time greats! What a career Henry has had.
Henry and Rich together, two amazingly gracious, decent, and talented guys. Total joy watching this.
Honestly one of the best interviews I've ever seen. This is how you do an interview.
Some interviewers talk more than their guest. Not Eisen. He evokes memories and let’s them talk. Winkler is an incredible storyteller. He’s very humble and uses his stories to poke fun at himself!
Love love love Henry. I strive to be like him as a person!
He’s such a funny guy but also a great actor. That scene in ‘Click’ where he is with his Son brings me to almost tears every time.
The best and fastest 30 minutes of my life ! Spectacular
A national treasure. Henry Winkler.
That was like the best 💩 ever!! The man is a legend beyond the Fonz, drop the mic Sir Henry😎
Guest of the year!
Simply FANTASTIC interview!! Well done.
If the Thursday night booth consisted of McAfee, Winkler and Stallone I’m tuning in. No matter how bad the game I’m watching wire to wire! Blank check style totally worth while
I might swap Stallone for Rich, but...
I've always loved Henry Winkler. This was a real joy to watch 👍ayyee
This was an absolute treat to watch! What a great guest.
He coached Bobby Boucher to a Bourbon Bowl victory. He knows ball.
Legendary coach of the Mud Dogs.
Best interview I have ever heard
Henry Winkler. What a likeable guy. I remember many years ago when he was King Bacchus in New Orleans he had the time of his life. Would love to hear him talk about that
Still in my eyes, the best Bacchus ever!

👍 ayyyyye
If Henrey ever records a bedtime story audiobook collection I'll never get out of bed again.
I met Henry at a car show many years ago. He had written a childrens book and got to meet him and get an autograph. He was the nicest guy you could ever meet.
I’ve never heard a bad story about Winkler. With other celebrities there’s always pro and con. Not with him. Everyone always gushes how down to earth, friendly and such a sweet personality he has. Always pokes fun at himself too.
Aye Rich that was freaking awesome love the Fonz bro!!!!
Henry is one of my heroes!
So great! Thank you for. a great. conversation, with such. a lovely,,smart man!
The best interview I've ever seen in The Rich Eisen Show
from arrested development to Barry i think henry Winkler is one of the most underrated comedic actors of all time
Lovely man. Fantastic talent. Also super sharp. Knows that mentioning Mahomes and Donald would get the clip more views.
Henry exudes class, and is so incredibly humble. Especially with all the success he's had, and about helping people with their success.
Henry is so easy to interview. He is such a good and funny guy. You cant stop laughing when he starts telling all his stories.
Rich is my favorite hands down..Henry is great too!
What a great interview. Such a great change of pace and refreshing
This is so great in so many ways
I love this man!
Greatest segment to date! What an amazing person!
How great was this interview?
This was awesome!
Love Henry! I hope in real life he is as great as he seems here.
Henry's truly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet! Such a joy & a pleasure!
Okay, so I'm late to this due to life and all that but I just have to say that IS one of, if not the best, CToF/interviews ever. Henry is a handful! But what great stories from a very funny and kind man. He's forever "The Fonz" cool. Aaayyyy!
This interview is magic Henry is such a Star hes just magical
This man is a national treasure. One of the kindest men ever!
Henry’s best dramatic scene for me is when Richie get into the motorcycle accident & Fonzie talks to GD In his hospital room.
I went home and had a ginger ale.
John Travolta went home and bought a plane.
😆😆😆😆
What a legend 🙌❤️
Great interview...this was so much fun!
That was just great,
thank you
Awesome interview so cool. Ayyyy
Bar none the best interview I’ve ever watched.
This is Gold Jerry Gold!
He called halftime in a football game "rehersal", brillant!
Harry Winkler is funn af. What a treasure.
What a joy he is.
The Fonz, such a nice guy and I grew up watching him. 💪🏻
I love how Henry Winkler keeps trying to derail this interview.....awesome!
"I went home and had a ginger ale. Travolta went home and bought a plane."
I'm sorry, the bike from Great Escape and the Fonz's bike is the same bike....mind blown.
"We were #1 for 5 years after that, what did i care there was a phrase? ....fuckem"
As American treasures go, Henry Winkler has replaced Betty White.
Absolute legend
Protect this man at all costs I swear to god
Henry interrupts Rich in every sentence. LMFAO.
That was crazy funny. What an awesome interview.
Just so enjoyed this interview Henry ur a class act ty rich😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
He looks like James Bond 🙏🏽🕊️👍
This was amazing Rich !
I love him so much! Such a class act!❤️
Winkler is hilarious!!! What a treasure. Anyone who has not seen Night Shift, do so, you will laugh your azz off. Launched Keaton's career.
I wish you brought up and asked about the show he was in few years ago Better late than never!! was great show!
The nicest guy show business ever has seen
Absolutely love Henry Winkler
Legend
Rich, you lost control of this interview in the best way.
Henry is a National Treasure
Winkler is a natural comedian.
In Quintin Tarintion's book Cinema Speculation, he has the script that Stallone gave Winkler as Paradise Alley. When that wasn't produced Stallone wrote another movie instead and that was Rocky.
Greatest guy
Happy Days was a #1 show for FIVE years after jumping the shark!
Night Shift is a classic,You bought a cemetery,if people are gonna die,let them die for us
This is Chuck to remind Bill to SHUT UP!
Winkler was great in the movie "Hostage High"
