I absolutely LOVE watching the F-18 perform. The instantaneous turn performance of this aircraft, its low speed handling characteristics, the high alpha stuff, it is all so impressive. It is sometimes hard to believe the F-18 isn't a thrust vectored aircraft with the things it can do. And that sound is just heavenly! Both the F-16 and the F-18 grew out of the same1970s lightweight fighter project. And man, did they both deliver! Though they are vastly different aircraft in terms of flight characteristics, they are equally impressive machines.
