Love these “videos I wish somebody had made but they didn’t so I did” videos. Really helpful and also worth mentioning that they feel needed rather than many UA-cam guitar videos which seem like fine but unnecessary content creation for the sake of content.
I did grab the ChromaCase guitar gig bag about four years ago for a rescue I rehabbed and it was surprisingly good. Still have both. All I ask is room for basic tools and parts and it’s golden in that aspect. Good call.
I've said before, you've got budget, simplicity and diy in mind. Brilliant content. I think you Americans say on point??? Thanks for your work year after year.
Merry Christmas to Dan the Man and all Dan Fam, from Oz. We appreciate all the effort, I'm still rocking my CCA C12s based off your recommendation, nearly a year of hard core abuse later and they're full of ungodly ear gunk and still thumping. Much love to you and yours, God bless.
I wish there were more videos on this subject. As far as I can tell, this is the only one about Amazon gig bags at any price point. Obviously, I don't really need a video for well-known brands that Amazon sells like Gator or Mono, but it would be nice to see some of the lesser know brands at say the price range just above what's in this video. Like, say $30 to $60. Basically, the ones that at least look to be on par with higher end name brand gig bags but are as expensive. See if saving $40 to $100 dollars compared to the name brands actually gets you a good bag.
Thanks again Dan! I had been looking at the Chromecast thinking they'd be pretty good. Thanks for the confirmation! That strap does look very nice as well! I am very fond of the Fender strings as well, so I'll check the CC strings too. Merry Christmas to you and the family!
Thanks Dan for the options here. On the other hand, if folks want to go up a notch in price, I've gotten a few gig bags from Thommen last spring and they offer quite a bit more padding than those you reviewed. I think they start at around 30 to 40 dollars plus shipping, but if you buy more than one, they can combine the cost of shipping and that makes them that much more affordable.
if you look hard enough you can find the World Tour "gig quality" gig back but with room for 2 basses. I've got one and I love it although it gets pretty heavy
Thank you for making videos like this. I've got a few odd shaped instruments i'm looking for cases/bags for and knowing i have budget friendly options worth buying is huge. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and thank you for what you do
Great info! I've bought two of those Chromacast ones for my 6-strings, and been pretty happy with them for day-to-day storage and gentle travel. Mine have a velcro loop at the top of the neck so you can secure the guitar inside them better, and that's a nice feature that's left out of most cheaper bags. My only complaint, and it's pretty minor, is that the Chromacast is almost too short for my Epiphone Wildkat. Fits my Schecters and my Ibanez RG just fine, but it's impossible to put in that Epiphone without messing with the tuning machines -- it's just that tight. When measured the Epiphone is a good 2-3" longer than the others, which explains why, but it definitely surprised me a little the first time I went to put the Epiphone in that bag.
Although a bit more expensive at like 30 bucks I really enjoy the Pro-Lok gig bags. I have one for my bass and guitars, along with a couple of family members and friends who also have guitars have them and enjoy them as well.
Thank you, Dan! I'm in the middle of a big move and have like 10 basses and only 2 gig bags lol. I need to buy a bunch of decent cheap ones, and this is great!
That strap looks pretty solid actually. This was a great video to the starter bass players who watch you! I have a dual mono bass case I’ll rock that for gigs and practice I bring either that or my hard shell case that the stingrays come with
I use my guitar case to carry my rifles more than anything. People can only assume you have a guitar, pretty incognito. So modifying a cheap one sounds great!
Wish you talked about the inside material... seems like it might scuff a gloss finish. Other than that I'm with you GnG. For for a semi hollow gtr it may be the only game in town and I'm not looking to take it out of the house.
I've got a couple of World Tour bags that are for Acoustics. It's good enough to keep them secure in the basement, but I'm really not going to put a good acoustic in it for gigging. That Chromacast looks interesting, so I may need to check it out And Merry Christmas!
The Roadrunner "Avenue" bags from Guitar center/Musicians Friend, are my current go to for gigging. they're around $40 and are sturdy. before them, i was buyingTKL bags when i would find them used at Music Go Round.
Once you buy from Amazon they create a file on you and track what ever you purchase and start harassing you with ads like Google. That's why I don't use either. S o does UA-cam and many others. You can't avoid it but you can limit your exposure.
Merry Christmas to you and your familiy, Dan. Thank you for all the hard work you put into entertaining us. Happy new year to y´all too. Live long and prosper. \\// \\//

I'm sold on this ChromaCast American Flag bass gig bag which I just purchased after viewing this cool video presentation! Thanks so much, cheers!!

I have the Chromacast Rudy Sarzo bass gig bag. It’s more expensive but I love it

Great tip! Thanks Yvan!

I got rid of mine. Imagine a Musicman and a Warwick. Chiro alert
@@yellofury maybe that explains my back problems since I carry around a 5 string warwick and a 5 string music man
LOL! after trying a Bunch of strings I decided I liked Fenders best too! im not a big Fender fan either but they have THE sound
This was super helpful - thank you! I ended up getting the dual guitar version of the heavy duty “World Tour” bag. It’s great, BTW.
Many thanks for making these types of vids!

Dan, thank you for sharing. Hope you and your family has a Merry Christmas. Stay safe and be blessed
Gig bags or guitar cases is something I won’t cheap out on. I even went with an SKB case for my fretwire semi hollow LP that I built.
Those would be good to put Tactical Rifles in they are a little big but depending on how big your tactical rifle is plus accessories
Thanks for taking up the slack! Excellent content as usual!
Hi Dan! Fan and subscriber here, love your videos! Would be cool to see an acoustic bass build sometime
I use my guitar case to carry my rifles more than anything. People can only assume you have a guitar, pretty incognito. So modifying a cheap one sounds great!
I’ve done this too! Although it doesn’t necessarily deter criminals…

Diggin the beard Dan.
Wow ! I have the old World Tour. good to know I should hang on to it.
Should be pretty easy to build a custom hardshell case for the guitars (a la Trash to Thrash)

Merry Christmas to you and your familiy, Dan.

Happy new year to y´all too.

Thanks! Maranatha!
Merry Xmas mate
I just priced the Chromacast flag bags at $25-45. Where are they $20? Why me?!!! I'm going back to duct tape and tarp gig bags!
Did you use my link in the description? They are $20 if you buy direct from their Amazon store, or $35 if you use Amazon fullfillment.
Walmart has them too . Don't know if the price jumped but they were 17 last week.
@@GunsandGuitars CURSES!
Yeah those chroma cast bags are pretty nice for the price you pay for them
Schöne Weihnachten 🎄🎄🎍🎉
Thank you!!!!
Is it 48 inch Iam looking 48 inch +
It needs a neck support period, yes not gig worthy.
Guns in guitar cases or bags
Say Dan....you flag bag is now $60 on Amazon today 6-1-22. Where was for 20 ? Amazon? Hmmmm! 5 months later....shocking !!
I think gig bag in an oxymoron. If you gig, you need a case or it will get hurt.
👍 Let’s go Brandon
Merry Christmas!
