Hello, just watched your Vigo Vlog went there earlier in the year on Iona you seemed to find much more than I did. Went to the castle, very step, then back down. So if I’m ever their again I now know there is lots more to see. Really enjoy your Vlogs.
Thanks Peter, nice of you to say. Yes, Vigo is very hilly, not ideal for a lot of people. We hope you get to re visit one day and see more of the sights.
I’ve just had my itinerary changed and I’m not going to Le Havre next week but to Vigo instead. From your video it looks like a more interesting place and no shuttle bus either 👍
Vigo is a wonderful city! It has so much more to offer than you managed to see. I live in the city and you saw hardly any of it. I wish the cruise ships would take cruise ships passengers on a proper tour of the city and its surrounds. I hope you did enjoy your time here.
@@JT-qr4ws Hi. Thank you for watching. Most cruise companies lay on bus tours of the destinations, plus there are always independent ones to use as well. We chose not to and just walk around and see what we could in the limited time we had. But it is definitely a wonderful Spanish city.
Hi both, Just wondering your opinion on Aurora compared to Brittania ship? Went on Brittania in April ,haven't been on Aurora since 2010 !!! Felt Brittania was not as well kept as previous years ,
We thought Aurora was in a slightly better condition than Britannia, which had quite a bit of soot from the funnels everywhere. Also inside the dark brown wood was a bit dated. Bit we we enjoyed both cruises immensely!
Vigo was our first port on our very first cruise in April this year on board the ventura , it was also my very first trip abroad. Vigo was just beautyful we walked up a side street towards the castle found lots of steps and step escalators going up the views from the castle were fab, then walked back down what may have been a main street and it was amazsing to see flat escalators just going up the middle back towards the castle wish we had of stopped out a bit longer and explored more but my hausband was worryed about getting back to the ship and not wanting to spend any money on food so end up back on board for about 1 i think and had a late lunch
That was a very early return, and returning to the ship is always in the back of our minds too. Some of it was nice but we wouldn’t hurry to stay there for a long time. 😎
Great vlog love a port where you can get off and do your own thing no need to queue for a coach Beach House is a lovely restaurant so much choice thanks again
Thank you 😊 We would recommend a 3 or 4 night Northern European or U.K. coastal cruise from a U.K. port. No flights and would definitely give you a taster of a cruise.
Yeah I definitely agree with you,Vigo didn’t do it for me either. The view over the port and sea was great but those hill ,no good for my dodgy knees ! 😢
I think the avocado on the mug is Serrano ham, a famous Spanish ham. 😂

We went to Vigo on our Iona cruise, was not impressed so we did a coach tour, even worse next time will stay on ship. Great vlog as usual.😊

Loads of steps and hills and uneven surfaces 😨 I’m sure there are nice places there too but we didn’t have time to explore properly
