Hello Don, thanks so much for a lovely tour of Vigo. You make me smile you old romantic you !!!! Great music too. And yes, changed itinerary= logistical nightmare. Well done Princess.
Hi Don! Your videos have inspired me to get over my life long (crazy) fear of sinking ships..and take a cruise! Soon my husband and I will take a cruise to Alaska! ♡
Olivia D You will not even feel the ship moving if your on a larger liner...NCL any time dining is the best...but seems every ship has their thing.....if your not a big drinker just alacarte your few cocktails....
Don, this was one of your best videos! Love the fog, beautiful song, history , statues, young love, and of course the coffee shops! The Royal is massive!
Thank you for the perspective on challenges of port changes for both the port city and the cruise staff. It’s not all about us and our inconvenience. Will help me be mindful of this in the future.
Absolutely enjoyable!! That looked like one of those ports where you could walk, then sit and feed the pigeons then get up and sight see some more! Thanks for sharing!!
I would LOVE for a cruise of mine to be diverted to anywhere Spain. I adore Spain, all of the parks all of the somehow being able to bring nature into the concrete jungle of a city. I hope you had a chance to enjoy some ham!
Regal Princess went to Shetland Island instead of the Orkneys in April on a Sunday. The town of Lerwick opened all the stores and met us with a band and young men in Viking regalia. The people were so nice and very happy the ship came!!! Sometimes a last minute destination can be so nice.
A very nice video, good camera work, well commented, excellent song choice ( just Shoda is missing there :):), I know, dogs not allowed ), nice city, very relaxed, thanks as lot, huuggs, enjoy your holiday.
Thanks for the walking tour of Vigo. Our cruise stopped in there on our 2 week cruise. Unlike your stop, ours was planned. We had booked an excursion into the hills to visit a vineyard. The vineyard was actually the least of that tour. We saw and learned so much! As much as I enjoyed your tour, I'd prefer to leave the city and see the country.
Vigo looks like a cool city to visit, but if I hadn't known, I wouldn't have guessed that it was Spain. The city looks so much different than Barcelone, Madrid or Andalusian cities. But yeah, Hamburg looks completely different than Munich, just like LA and NYC... anyway, I enjoy your port videos very much :)
I love Europe for the lifestyle they have sitting in a coffee shop people watching that is what we miss the most when we come back home to suburbia Sydney if you get a chance to visit Malta you will love how much history and beautiful architecture ona tiny island there is we spend a couple months a year there but that looks so beautiful where you are great video counting down my days till our cruise in December
Enjoying your walk around. I'll have to research the history of that port as Sir Francis Drake died in Panama in 1598, thus anything rebuilt would have an old look. Maybe one of the modern era wars or Franco regime.
I love your taste in music in these videos Don. You do such a great job. That city is beautiful. Some of the sculptures were creepy for sure. The coffee shops are right up us North Americans alleys. You get a better sense of how massive the Royal is than any other video you’ve done. I can see why it’s a tourist destination for the people. That’s sad that your picture got ruined. Are there no bathrooms in that city or was he just being lazy and nasty. I’ve heard in some cities public restrooms are almost non existent.
Hi Don! I must have started watching your vlogs after this trip so now I am going back to watch some of your other cruise vlogs that I have missed. I heard you say "Vantastic" in this one which you have been saying in the intro of the other vlogs I have been watching. Is that when it started and is there a story to go with it that I missed out on? Thanks!
Thanks for another intresting video, always Nice to follow you on your trips. BTW where in Norway where you suppose to go? In Tromsø where i live princess visit regulary in the summer.
Don, I enjoy your videos. I noticed one thing on this video that I've not noticed on others. When you are doing the selfie portions, it appears you record them in mirror mode, which makes sense. The problem is that all the signage behind you is now reversed as well. Additionally, the orientation of the "things" behind you is reversed which will make looking at the real place confusing after looking at your video, or vice versa. When you do the editing, please flip the selfie footage so we have a correctly oriented view. Thanks David
ilove your videos!! it seems it doesn't matter where a person goes in the world...theres always someone whos a little 'out there'...lol...lol...lol what a beautiful city!!! I had to friends who were just in Spain for a while !!!as they completed the Camino thanks again for the vlog! hey from Muskoka ont...:)
Don. I would give you 100 likes if I could. This video made my day. I am from Vigo but I have been leaving in the USA since 1992. It is always nice to have a look at your hometown and have your childhood memories rush in. I have been a subscriber for a while now to this channel as well as Critical Mass and I cant believe I have not come across this sooner. You have encourage me to start a vlog channel "Viso's Travel" and I have just finish uploading a few videos from my time on the Navigator of the seas on the 3rd and last extended stay at Coco cay. I will be traveling to Vigo from the 15th to the 24th of this month and will try to do some vlogs (I always feel like a tourist anymore when I go visit) Check it out if you can. Thanks again for putting a smile on my face today!!!
Don, I wondered about that issue, it's gross to just walk behind trees and I don't think we women have that option, so do all those coffee houses have facilities open to public?
Hi Don, always enjoy your videos! I also notice you changed your profile picture- very nice! Who is singing that theme song in the background, it's really nice~ Sylvia
Vigo looks very interesting but, there is so much to see and do in America, I have no interest in Europe. Maybe someday a trans Atlantic crossing. But the cruise to Hawaii will be first.

Another lovely city and one I doubt I will ever have an opportunity to visit. Thanks for the tour.
Vigo seems like a lovely little Spanish town. Thanks for sharing as always.

Beautiful city! They do work hard with those changes! Love princess!
You have a good eye for public art and architecture.

Thank you, Don, for sharing with us all. Much appreciated, as this port stop is part of our October 2025 transatlantic cruise.

HI Don, the funniest part of your story about the guy emerging from the bushes is that you filmed a public water closet just after that.

thanks again for the vlog! hey from Muskoka ont...:)
Don, I suspect the Cafes would have been set up for locals, not especially for tourists. Funny you might think that.
Don, the Royal was a great ship to be on. We did a 25 day med/TA cruise on her. Was sabu in the Kwik-E-Mart?
What a wonderful experience!! Love the theme song 😀 who sings that song please
yes I meant to ask that too

Don great vlog... Who is the female artist singing in background? Sounds great
Great shot of Fog! Are you sure it was Vigo?
Don, everytime I see your videos I want to go on a cruise. Not enough time and money though.
Don, I wondered about that issue, it's gross to just walk behind trees and I don't think we women have that option, so do all those coffee houses have facilities open to public?
What was that thing that looked like a huge egg on top of one of the older buildings?
Hi Don, always enjoy your videos! I also notice you changed your profile picture- very nice! Who is singing that theme song in the background, it's really nice~ Sylvia
Pee Gee, I see what ya did there 😂
Port Vigo- Galicia.
You sound give a credit for the Music artist
Sir Francis Drake wasn’t a pirate!😮
Music credit?
