Love all your games you put up on the tube. You really have a passion for chess. Life goes forward but it is nice to go back in the past and relive these games, thanks, TOM.
Magnificent game, and magnificent analysis, Mato, as always! Tal is one of our favorites. My daughter and I thrive on your videos. Please keep them coming. We're players whose enthusiasm far outways their ability, but we love playing chess, and your videos are a window to great entertainment, and great education. Ian and Katy.
+Shockprowl Thank you. Can you please make that comment here please: ua-cam.com/users/MatoJelicdiscussion chessschoolsa.wordpress.com/about-mato-jelic/
My 5 reasons why I subscribe Mato Jelic 1 Mato is a good lecturer 2 Nice board and color piece. 3 signature... We reach the most critical moment of the game in a very husky voice!!!! 4 He loads classic games of M Tal. 5 Sometimes Mato's King will move 3 squares like a knight. You're the best.no lights?????
Another beautiful game from the chess genius Tal. I love listening to your commentary Mato. You are passionate and humorous and I like how you set the stage for the pivotal move and allow us to guess what he did. Tal + chess and Mato + chess commentary!
great narration Mato, if Tal came back and watched your videos he would probably learn something haha. Thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm Sir. love and respect +MatoJelic
Thanks Mato. I've been studying your posted games for a few years now. My favorites are Tal and Fischer. You're my favorite online chess instructor. Keep up the great work. 👍☺
I keep seeing what looks like a great move and the master eventually plays it but I miss the little moves that are needed to set it up and avoid a counter-strike.
The positioning of Tals pieces is magical. How can the pieces be in such appropriate spots 10 moves ahead of time. That knight move near the end is "unbelievable"!
I have been thinking about this for a long time, but after watching this game I realize that, while most pieces can give family forks, the knight gives one which is simultaneously elegant and brutal!! The knight, causing family problems since time immemorial!! :D Great game and analysis Mato :) Cheers from India!
kakashi76767 and its about time he does more. I've watched all of his Tal videos at least twice. Tried watching them on other chess channels is not the same. Mato all the way
Who's demanding?I said its about time as in I was waiting for him to make more not demanding it. Man you are one negative dude. I never said I didnt like the other players.I love those chess players that you mention and more but the reason why I really love Tal is that his chess is like art. His moves and tactics are just beautiful to watch. Even tho he was only champion for 2 years but there's a reason why a lot of people including Mato that likes him; it's his play style.
1:51 I think if white tries... (white to move) Qxf6, then black would play Bg7 (attacking the queen and x-raying the knight) after say Qh4 then BxKtc3, bxc3, and Qxc3, with threat of mate. In case you were wondering like I did.
Just curious if you done a video of Henry 🐦 with Pinkerly 🤔? Wat an awesome move of the day. Wowa.... Awesome video Mato Your the best Shalom nakama friend
Tal was incredible. It's amazing how early Klaman is in trouble. At 3:20 when Tal threatens the pawn on h7, Klaman can't cut off the line with .. f5 because the e-pawn is pinned by the rook: Tal can just take it with the knight, with a fork threat against d6, and a subsequent attack right down the middle, all Tal's pieces bearing down on d6 and e6. Klaman has to give up the pawn and lock his entire army onto the first two ranks. Basically for the rest of the game he's just trying not to lose horribly and instantly.
mato_ at around 9:26 on this video- tal moves Q to d4 wanting to exchange queens. i wounder if black would not have been better taking the knight at b3 with the bishop?
This video is very helpful but I need subtitles for your upcoming videos...because your pronunciation is different..subtitles will be helpful for other country peoples
reference to 2:09... look up segey karijakan vs fabiano caruana candidates 2016 round 14. if black can exchange queens white will suffer. with good technique black potentially can win.
I picture chess game with Tal like a picnic in the country. Birds singing, classical music. Then Tal make a sac and picture changes to falling from roller coaster screaming towards doom... just one moment after happy picnic
What do I think about this game? I think that playing a game in a 1957 world championship in Soviet Union against players like Tal, Spassky, Najdorf, Petrosian, Keres, Geller or Unzicker had to be quite exciting.
Mato you are great teacher... but I want to draw your your attention that the T letter in the word "often" is not pronounced. So, often is pronounced as "ofen"... thanks
no Qc4+ is the best move in this position, that was an alternative Tal style move(still white is winning) just because it was a game full of sacrifices
Wow, in the final position of the video, the knight is attacking every major piece black has left.
Tal was unbelievable!!!!
Mato is the best, no unnecessary analysis
Totally agree!
All the love from South Africa Mato 🇿🇦.
My son runs and says "Madoh" when he hears me open your chess lecture.
Thank you, Mato, for the wonderful comments on such complicated and really exciting game.

Mato, thank you for the wonderful chess lessons and analysis...It's a shame I can't like your videos more than once.
Your videos are the best! Not only are they funny but they really challenge your mind, too! You don't just tell us the moves, you make us find them.
Tal was, is, and will be the most spectacular chess player for me.
He was certainly one of the most spectacular.
I also have him as my favorite, together with Judit Polgar
Him and nezhmetdinov
@@user-mr7ef3dn5q Those two and Geller, also Capablanca
@@Smileater"forgot about the rook"
I wish more GM's would play like Tal. Mikhail is my favourite player of all time!
Ps ...glad to see u back Mato we missed ya . U know u cant take a day off lol...PEACE N LOVE FROM BROOKLYN NY
Ah Brooklyn - great hotbed of chess.
Always informative and entertaining. Very educational comment on relatively unknown high-level games.
Mato! Your passion for chess is contagious, I think I've watched these videos for 4 days straight and they are so insightful and enjoyable. Thank you
YAY!!!

you are a genius Mato, thank you!!
Tal is phenomenal, is what I think. Thank you for a wonderful game
It's good to hear your voice again and especially it's Tal game :)
beautiful one..thanks mato !
Tal wrote poetry on a chessboard
Wow. Great game and great commentrary. Good job, Mato!
Just imagine, you are a top 10 player in those days, and they tell you: Tomorrow you're playing Tal - good day for a suicide!
amen!
Walküre, Ich würde auch unruhig!
Thanks Mato. I've been studying your posted games for a few years now. My favorites are Tal and Fischer. You're my favorite online chess instructor. Keep up the great work. 👍☺
I always like your videos, your great sense of humor and especially your life story about being a Christian. God Bless Mr. Jelic.
I keep seeing what looks like a great move and the master eventually plays it but I miss the little moves that are needed to set it up and avoid a counter-strike.
Yeah if you don't check those you might even get a global offense
Josue Alejandro I see what you did there
Yes, I sometimes see a spectacular move - then I see that it won't work. Sometimes I see that it won't work after I've have, in fact, played it . . .
Forking the Queen, Rook, King and Bishop!!! Fantastic!!!!
forking the whole familly
Riad tabiben to be exact the whole *Kingdom* :)
The positioning of Tals pieces is magical. How can the pieces be in such appropriate spots 10 moves ahead of time. That knight move near the end is "unbelievable"!
No family has been so thoroughly forked since the Romanovs lost the Russian Revolution.
David: Maybe the Trump family?
Very nice commentary Mato.
Love Mato's commentary.
I have been thinking about this for a long time, but after watching this game I realize that, while most pieces can give family forks, the knight gives one which is simultaneously elegant and brutal!!
The knight, causing family problems since time immemorial!! :D

Tal found the happy square :)
In 4:18: "Sometimes Tal plays ordinary moves too!"
Thanks Mato!
Amazing game, Tal is a giant, thanks Mato
Mikhail Tal is back in MatoLand, hell yeah!
Wonderful !
Mato keep it up awesome game from tal...
Brilliant game!
Thank you mato
You got me Mato!
Tal is the BEST and so is the Mato. Thanks Mato for such a lovely explanation.
Welcome back Mato
1:51 I think if white tries... (white to move)
Qxf6, then black would play Bg7 (attacking the queen and x-raying the knight) after say Qh4 then BxKtc3, bxc3, and Qxc3, with threat of mate.

Que bonito jugaba Mikael tal....❤...amo a este jugador....
mato_ at around 9:26 on this video- tal moves Q to d4 wanting to exchange queens. i wounder if black would not have been better taking the knight at b3 with the bishop?
+Navin Johnson Then white takes back with the c pawn, launching a discovered attack at the king, and ends up exchanging a rook for a queen.
if an exchange of queens at 9:23 would mean game over, why not follow Q-d4,Q-b7; with Q-g7+ forcing that exchange?
Because game continuation?
I love Tal, And Morphy...
my 2 favorites
I love Paul Morphy, Bobby Fischer, Mikhail Tal 😎
Fantastic Game..Mato Jelic is Super...
another amazing video! I always wait for the moment: white made the move, and Black... resinged
The only way you could improve on this, Mato, is to say: "…forking every piece on the board"!
;-) Thank you for another beautiful game.
This video is very helpful but I need subtitles for your upcoming videos...because your pronunciation is different..subtitles will be helpful for other country peoples
dear Mato you missed if bishop takes knight then what? how Tal was going to play? answer please
Beautiful game
Tal !!! what a player !! absolutely fantastic ... for me he is the best chess player ever !!
Mato is very interesting to listen to.
reference to 2:09... look up segey karijakan vs fabiano caruana candidates 2016 round 14. if black can exchange queens white will suffer. with good technique black potentially can win.

8:12 why does not Nxd6+ work????
1:44 should go pon on e6-e5 win bishop?
Mato just few words just to tell u u should be a teacher because no one explain better than you and all emotions about chess game thanx you
He is a teacher, he has his own school
thanx ya broth i love it all about bobby fisher ,Michael Tal ,...
Haha yeah same here
Lets play one of this days , i think that when u see Michael Tal playing u just can imagine how mindstroger his this human being
hi Mato
what if Queen takes Knight at 8:03 ?
It is a good question?
That was pretty -- and in several places rather humorous. (Of Tal, Mato. Of Tal. You were your usual somber self throughout.)
At 10.21 it was the incredible knight forking
Mato you missed 1 piece had been forked too, the bishop
Mato, every time I don't pause the video and you ask, "Did you pause the video?" you guilt me into pausing the video.
At 8:08, why not NxP Check?
... Kb8. Then what for white? Still facing loss with black QxP or QxR. White can only stop one.
You forgot to mention the bishop! The family fork includes the king, rook, queen AND the bishop.
1.34, why is there pressure on the g2 pawn? If rook takes, bishop captures rook. Why did white bother with pawn to g3?
You are a funny guy, Mato, he,he. Tal is a monster. Fantastic game.
wow that final fork, forking the King,Queen, Rook, and a Bishop! Damn that Knight was passed and half
great game!
8:08 what about Nd6?
terrible
Good playing by Mikhail Tal.
What do I think about this game? I think that playing a game in a 1957 world championship in Soviet Union against players like Tal, Spassky, Najdorf, Petrosian, Keres, Geller or Unzicker had to be quite exciting.
Make a video of Tal - Koblencs! Best game ever played.
8:07 what if Nd6, captures a pawn with check?
Šahovski genije. Uživam gledati njegove partije.
That "family fork" was actually an "extended family fork" (because the knight was also forked).
Mato you are great teacher... but I want to draw your your attention that the T letter in the word "often" is not pronounced. So, often is pronounced as "ofen"... thanks
after Re6 in 10:05 white can fork queen and rook with Nc5, dxc5, Qd8+, Kc6, Qd5, Kc7, Qxe6
Ku Kiss so you think Qc4+ is worse ? :P
no Qc4+ is the best move in this position, that was an alternative Tal style move(still white is winning) just because it was a game full of sacrifices
wow matojelic sounds so similar to master yi 3:30
wouldyou style :D
Excellent game
Nice video
