Premiers comment as Council of the Federation meeting continues - December 16, 2024

Premiers from across Canada speak with reporters ahead of the second day of the Council of the Federation’s fall meeting in Toronto. The two-day meeting comes in the wake of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to impose a 25 per cent import tariff on goods coming from Canada and Mexico when he takes office.
Speaking with reporters are premiers Doug Ford (Ontario), P.J. Akeeagok (Nunavut), R.J. Simpson (Northwest Territories), and Ranj Pillai (Yukon).
