That lady was definitely the one trying to actually kidnap OPs son. The lie to the police officer about the son being her grandchild. The two other ladies who backed her up. The way their faces went pale when they heard about the cameras
Yeah exactly what if she was kidnapping the boy! Idk why the reader says that the pressing charges was heavy, I don’t think they are so heavy at all. And on top of all that she did, the discrimination against OP too! she definitely deserves the charges
The stepdad is well within his right to press charges, they boy may not have his blood but he still cares for him as if her were his own, like he mentioned earlier
Not to mention the mother, as in the lady who literally brought the child into this world, and he are married. So no matter which way you look at it... The Karens are wrong

What a genuinely terrifying situation. Holy shit. I am glad the situation was sorted properly, as I would have probably gotten violent if someone attempted to kidnap my child right in front of me.

Yes file charges because she was telling a story that the child was her grandson and this non truthful item could have caused this child to be separated from his family if the mom couldn't have come to the store. Lady could have told someone that she believed the boy was in trouble rather than grab him and run for the door.
To add to this her claiming the kid is her grandson shows she had no intention of actually helping the child and was actually trying to kidnap the child by falsely claiming guardianship of the child
She was probably part of a human trafficking ring... She literally had two other stooges there to back up her story while she went looking for good targets... An atttempt to abuse the privilege and automatic trust women get in the west over men, something criminal women use often.
I am 65 and yes, have a 4y/o daughter. I had something similar but not as dramatic in a Publix near my home. They have a cop there all the time and I walked directly to him and told him a lady, I pointed to her was harassing me and my daughter. He asked her outside and after 2 minutes she was crying but refused to apologize. I asked the policeman to let her go as she would make the whole jail miserable. The Publix cashier who knew us came over and told the cop I came with my daughter all the time and that she knew my wife. The cop really wanted to charge her I think because he was black and knew how I felt.
Those charges are 100% reasonable and are not extreme. Hell, that woman and her buddies are the jerks in the story. Also, what logic did the entitled woman have? Then accusing the mother of harassment
Yeah, that woman kept changing up her story, first she says she was trying to save the child to find his parents, then she says the child was hers, then when the mother got there, she spoke to the mother like she was the hero saving the mother’s son, then again claimed the child was hers and wasn’t the mother’s despite just claiming she “saved her son”, etc. It was absolutely an attempted kidnapping, but not by the father in any case.
That, my friend, is a "Karen" Karen: a crazed woman who believes she has all the rights and reasons in the UNIVERSE and can do whatever she wants according to that logic.
People need to learn that stepchildren and adopting exists :/ Edit: yall have amazing points, I think I left out mixed kids because its in the video?(correct if wrong)
Not only that but mixed kids exist. My mom is black and my dad is white, I was born with a light skin tone, people often doubted my mom was my actual biological mom 🤦
To be fair, most countries in Europe and and the U.S in America have a white majority by leaps and bounds, last time I checked the Ethnic distribution percentages for the U.S, the balance was I think 76% White to 16% Black and 8% everything else, though these numbers have like changed since then, so the odds of being exposed to a mixed ethnicity family is decently low, even factoring in adoption. Thus making misunderstandings decently likely. With that said, those ladies were just plainly kidnappers and thought OP was an easy mark due to the ethnic discrepancies between him and his stepson, glad to see they were punished and that OP didn't catch any bad flak from it.
Yeah I was thinking of the adopting thing too. Like it would be completely possible for him to have actually been a Mexican, and his wife to be a Mexican, and for the both to have an adopted white child this is not outside the realm of possibilities.

It's funny how in the first story the lady claim that the dad is trying to kidnapped his own son because their skin tone is different. All of my family member have brown skin, but my little sister somehow have skin tone a kin to Chinese. If this lady is in my country, this kind of incident will surely happened quite often, since it's not rare to see a child that have a different skin tone as their parents.
I think she was just using that as an excuse. I think she's a pedophile or something and just used the race card so that people would think she wasn't a pedophile and just racist (I assume most people would rather be seen as a racist then a pedophile)
All of my siblings are a different skin tones, even my parents, aunts and uncles are all different. Are people not aware that there are families with mixed genetics.
Surprisingly the Encanto fandom is a good example of people who seem to think it’s impossible for kids to have different skin tones compared to their parents, Pepa Madrigal is a prime example of that, it was made extremely clear that her, Julieta, and Bruno are triplets, but people have it in their heads that Alma cheated. Genetics can pop up at any time, even simple stuff like red hair, not a single living human in my family is ginger, but I am, guess where I got it from? My dad’s mom (she passed away due to cancer not too long before I was born)
There has been a disturbing trend over the last number of years where it is clear that the people making up the lies believe that the story will become the truth simply because they say it is.
The photos alone were more than enough proof IMO even of there weren't any cameras If I was that manager and I knew nothing about the situation of who's word was good I'd be hesitant too, but the _instant_ the father showed the family photos I'd have let him go about his day regardless of what that lady said A true kidnapper would never willingly show anyone photos of themselves with their victim
Wow, I just had a flashback from when my daughter was 2, and same thing happened. She had gotten out of the yard somehow, where her babysitter lived. I was leaving to go to work, and wanted to say goodbye to her and my other child. Couldn't find her and ran outside to see if she was in the yard, not there. Ran down the street looking for her, while my aunt (babysitter) looked the other way of the street. Spotted her being led away crying by some woman. I screamed for the woman to stop, that was my baby, but she ignored me. My child heard my voice, and started crying harder, screaming mama at the top of her lungs, and trying to free herself from the woman. I stopped the woman, and told her to give me back my child, but she wouldn't. Claiming that she found my child wandering alone, and that she wasn't mine. At this point, I was about to lose it, my child is literally grabbing my leg to loosen herself from the woman. I said how could she doubt that child wasn't mine, when she was my literal mini-me?? I grabbed my child from the woman and ran away, saying that I was going to call the police if she followed me. She ran the other way. I consoled my daughter, and told my aunt to make sure the door was locked, in the event the woman had pried the gate open. How else was a toddler be able to open the gate? I had locked it on my way in.....to have to go through this is scary.
That dad is 1000% in the right and I would have done the same damn thing. I hope her charges are leaked to her fellow inmates, women tend to suffer greatly in prison for child abuse and abduction charges.
If that was my son being kidnapped right in front on me I would need to go to the hospital for broken hands, she would be going straight to a morgue, and my son would need therapy after witnessing me lose my mind and seeing someone get murdered. I fear this happening to me with my kids. I'm half native American, brown hair, brown eyes with tan skin. My kids are blonde hair and green/blue eyes and very fair skin. I carry recessive genes from my father who also has blonde hair and blue eyes so my kids don't immediately look like mine.
The video here shows a good idea on what you have to do if this happens (hopefully it never happens). A family photo (or several of it) is a good physical evidence, whereas the trust between you and your children also serves as another proof indirectly. @@VegettoTico2648 no, but in countries like the UK and US they have been seen as the default and are portrayed as such. I live in the UK, the story in the video is from the US, that is why I said the nuclear white family. And also, it is because in my relationship and the one in the story, they are mixed race relationships, and the Karen’s were racist women who assumed because the child was white and the dad wasn’t, that he couldn’t be the kids dad, so for them being white was important. Those were the only reasons I mentioned race in the nuclear family, because it was an important factor of the story and in my relationship, people don’t understand or accept the idea of a child being a different skin colour to their parent(s)
This is messed up... "Judging people by skin yone is the worst excuse ever" What if he was working under the sun? The skin tone changes every sec Man... People these days
If someone tried doing this to my child, I would be screaming and crying because I can't handle people not believing my words over some stranger I don't even know. I don't have that great of a mental to begin with so seeing myself in that situation I may not be able to handle it so well. I really would lose it. Tearing up just thinking about it.
Turn the sadness into rage, its better in the sense people will think twice about pushing your limits. Worry about balance later, worked for me anyway, sorta
While there are a lot of situations where I'm straight up against people pressing charges, these 2 stories are not among them. I don't care if there is a misunderstanding. Knowingly giving a false police report after attempted kidnapping and assault leaves no room for sympathy. Those people are dangerous and at the bare minimum need mental counselling, which they were hopefully provided during their time in prison.
What bothers me is that she tried to run the kid out of the store....THAT'S ACTUAL KIDNAPPING. If she was really concerned, she would have screamed for a manager.
Now imagine this lady is in ANY service related job, cop, DOCTOR, literally anything where your life and wellbeing is in her hands and her job is to help, do you think you could trust this lady with your life or wellbeing? People say they don't see racism, but people like this are everywhere and can literally to loss of life, property, etc. and we get gaslighted for pointing it out unless there is OVERWHELMING proof.
What's worse is that these ladies probably still believe their own stories... and now the Karen's are living under the delusion that they are True heroes that were wrongfully imprisoned. "I went to prison for trying to save a child from a kidnapper, what's wrong with the world!"
I think they know they were wrong and just too prideful to admit it. Imagine the amount of shame if they were wrong, how they would look. I bet those thoughts ran through their heads so they stuck with the story and thought "we're 3 and he's just some guy.they'll believe us." (I mean the guy showed photos of his wife and the kid together from years back, the cameras showed he already entered the store with the kid. And the kid called out to his mother as mom and was clearly attached to both. There is legit NO doubt about them and even the ladies knew that at this point) What I find terrible is that they don't consider the childs well being in their thought process. Plus the granny could potentially even have tried to steal the kid from the get go since she was trying to leave the store with it rather than searching for "the actual parents" or telling someone from the store or even asking the kid.
They are either very stupid and arrogant or the hags were intentionally staking out the mall to kidnap a child they thought they could get away with ... and are still stupid and arrogant
Dang, my heart was pounding as I read this. That lady would have been face down if it were me. You are a good man for keeping your cool and being a good Dad that your son didn't fall for her bs. I can only imagine what could have happened.
Yeesh same here. I can’t imagine what would happen to anyone who got on MY bad side by endangering one of my loved ones… oh wait! I can…😈easily 😈 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻
The primary reason he kept his cool was to protect himself from a legal backlash. mixed race man hits a white woman, that would have spread like wildfire and he would be publicly shamed and cops would be arresting him. Even more Karens would side with the kidnapping Karen and most of the internet feminists would accuse him of being a sexist woman assaulter or whatever
The three ladies were all definitely in a group trying to kidnap the son. The way they just backed the first lady up even after being told they were wrong just screams that they're kidnappers. If anything went different in a wrong way, I would fear that little boy would be in much danger. Round of applause for the worker who stopped the lady, the manager, and the police.

The fact that this lady thinks she can get away with kidnapping a little kid, makes false accusations about OP to the police, and still deny everything shows how entitled and evil people can really get. She definitely deserved those charges
@@thendrickson7679 at worst I would suspect a manslaughter charge to stick on the basis of excessive force or something. Probably wouldn't get convicted though
The first charge is a felony, first degree kidnapping. That incurs up to 8 years in prison if convicted. False imprisonment is a tort, they can collect damages for that as personal injury, mental anguish, etc. Now regarding filing a false police report (at least in the state of Florida) is a criminal offense. Here, you can receive up to 1 year in prison, up to $1k fine, supervised probation and/or community service.
@@Adaedon Yes, distinct lack of evidence, just random footage taken by someone walking in public. We don't expect footage of the incident, but there is nothing to show the OP, his "stepson" , his wife or anybody else involved. Not convincing. Plenty of YT crap like this abounds.
A woman at Walmart tried to take our one year old from my husband. Which was surprising because he’s a giant of a man. She even followed him to the car and he eventually had to get really rude with her to get her to back off. Our daughter is his biological daughter and is literally his twin in every way. Same facial features, skin tone, and hair. Keep your kids close because there are some crazy people out there!
I'm so glad the guy in the first story pressed charges against those psychos. Who sees a kid and goes, "Huh you're probably in this store ALONE, let me save you." ?? If you are so concerned, as he said, just ask the child if they know where their parent/guardian is. I'm surprised the woman was allowed to hold on to the child until the wife arrived. Crazy.
To answer your question from Story #1: I'd go through with all those charges for maximum sentence. The consequences attached to the accusations ladies 1 2 and 3 were leveling would've deestroyed his life and there should really be severe consequences for people that lie and create false charges, consequences similar to the charge they were attempting to drop on the good man.
it is insane to me that 3 random people can just walk up to someone and do this to them. this literally makes me never want to go in public with my kid
If I'm not mistaken, there was a case in Japan where the female thief stole an old man's wallet. When the man tried to take his wallet back, the thief accused him of stealing and people rushed to her aid.
@@drunkbillygoat trust it will happen. You should give her a book called “blended” i don’t read a lot but THIS shows me a lot and I think my mind has grown from it
You get SO MUCH MUCH RESPECT for not giving the lady a beat down for trying to kidnap your son right in front of you! I am also of mixed race and only experienced once incident of confusion on a subway in NY... but I don't remember much because I fell asleep. Maybe I leaned on some random woman and my mom didn't like her tone when she told me to get off. I just remember hearing my mother saying, "... because she's my daughter!" My mom was all of 5 feet and gently mild-mannered, but she wasn't taking any crap that day!
All could have be considered a "misunderstanding" by a concernt citizen till the point they started lying to the police. At that point you're trying to get a person falsely imprisoned and are no longer protected by claiming ignorance.
I'd say it could no longer be considered a "misunderstanding" at the point where the kid was clutching the guy's leg out of fear and thus clearly knew him and felt safer with him than with the woman. And when she yanked the kid, and dragged him running for the door, with him screaming and hitting her and crying out for his father, she was beyond being forgivable. At this point, gender shouldn't matter. You should be able to punch her in the face and take your child back. She was acting like a straight up monster. I've got a lot of self control, but that would have thrown me into a fit. I'd still have stopped myself from once she was on the floor, but I'd probably have hit her more than once, and straight in the head. A woman would be allowed to punch her, and a woman would be allowed to punch a man, but in this fucked up world, there's nothing a man can do to take his child back from a woman stealing the child, without landing in jail and thus resulting in the child still losing a parent.
except adoption, mixed race people and second marriages are not rare and any assumptions are the result of blatant racism. if you see a poc around a child and assume theyre a kidnapper it's because you're a dangerous bigot. she WILL get someone hurt in the future. anyone like her isn't a poor sweet confused citizen who should be given the benefit of the doubt, whether or not they then lie to the police. they should have the basics of the world explained to them and then be charged with a hate crime (because that is what this is)
As a black woman with a white family there’s been a few instances where I’ve been out with my nieces at a park or gone shopping with them and have been questioned whether or not they’re mine - it’s horrible honestly. I’m just glad that we lived in a somewhat small town where a lot of people begin to recognise you, otherwise we could’ve been in worse situations.
Actually, I'm afraid it might be the opposite. In a big city, it's too busy and there are too many people to care. This kind of stuff mostly happens in small towns where people feel comfortable nosing into other people's business. Noone know anyone or cares in a big city.

On the first story, I was just tallying up the criminal counts in my head as I was listening to it.. I was so glad to hear at the end that charges were actually pressed and the list of crimes actually matched up fairly well with what I had in my head. Ignoring the blatant racism, plus the patent stupidity of assuming that two people can't be in the same family with different skin colors (hello, adoption? remarriage? normal genetic variation?), even if it didn't even occur to her to just ask the kid, if she actually thought a crime was being committed, the correct behavior would have been to either call the police or get someone like a store manager to intervene, not just _grab some kid who isn't your own and take off running._ How on earth does anyone think that's the correct response in that situation to begin with? (The irony of actually _literally committing kidnapping_ in order to supposedly prevent a kidnapping from taking place is just ...wow. She deserves to have the book thrown at her.) For the second story, absolutely not the correct thing to do (seriously, nobody do this), but it still would have been so hard for me to resist the temptation to just turn to my daughter and say "honey, would you like to touch her hair too?" and then just grab a good handful of the lady's hair and yank her head down to the daughter's level with all my might.. "Well, I'm just letting my daughter touch your hair"...

He asked her outside and after 2 minutes she was crying but refused to apologize. I asked the policeman to let her go as she would make the whole jail miserable. The Publix cashier who knew us came over and told the cop I came with my daughter all the time and that she knew my wife.
Honestly as soon as she admitted to lying about the kid being her grandson, her argument was over
Basically:
Police officer: so the woman who lied about being the grandmother asks me to now believe her when she says this man who has provided proof of being the father is really not the father?
I’m wondering if she isn’t one of those traffickers… women who pretend to be in the interest of the child and never to be seen again
Bro... she never had an argument to begin with 😂😂😂
This is a simple case of why people should mind they own business.
Look, as a father of 11 kids I understand if a child looks like their in trouble or needs help then yea the right thing to do is to ask questions. But this situation the child obviously wasn't in need of help. Sooo yea just mind ur business
She was probably going to use the kid for human trafficking sadly. The way she was so persistent on the kid being her "grandson", the way she tried to just run out of the store instead of "warning" the workers, and the two other ladies backing her up when they saw nothing. Those two were probably in on it if they were human traffickers.
Made me sick
The fact charges were pressed made this so very beautiful. It's scary because the first lady was clearly trying to kidnap him. And this is something that can happen so easily. Somehow the thought of a guy having a kid is baffling to these people. She was probably in some trafficking ring, I'm so glad you were able to keep your son safe.
A similar thing happened to me. I’m light skinned, with blue eyes and blonde hair. I got that from my mom. My dad, stepmom and little brother are all tan, with dark eyes and hair. Once in a store with my stepmom, a lady came up to me and tried to tell me to come with her. I said no, obviously, and walked back to my stepmom with the item she asked me to grab. The lady followed me and tried to pull me away, until (while hugging my stepmom as tightly as I could) started yelling that I wasn’t going to go with her and that I didn’t know her. She ran as fast as she could since people started to stare lol
Hate it when people think they are helping when really they are attempting kidnapping.
My man you are the op's kid in a parallel world
I would be the one going to jail for 1st degree murder, if anybody touched my child. The hell with those 3 ladys.
If you killed only the first hag, you could probably get away with self defense. Even if you couldn't, it could be a type of manslaught-say she died because you shoved her and she hit her head-or at the most, 2nd degree murder because it reactionary and not premeditated.

If this lady is in my country, this kind of incident will surely happened quite often, since it's not rare to see a child that have a different skin tone as their parents.

@7:00 I dunno why but your impression of the manager's voice is hilarious.
Glad you pressed charges. A lot of people would have just said let bygones be bygones, but people need to be held accountable in these situations. The 'he's my grandson" lady should be prosecuted for providing false information to a police officer, which I think in Massachusetts is a felony.
That woman was most likely truly trying to kidnap the boy since she tried to get out of the store without asking questions or reporting to the employees or authorities ahead of time. And the other two ladies could have easily been accomplices.
Yeah, the fact that she lied about being the grandmother is suspicious. Wouldn't you go to the store manager first?
Good point about them trying to leave the store without reporting to the employees or authorities. This definitely sounds like an attempted kidnapping by the 3 crazy ladies.
And wait till you read this: The footage during the trial showed that the woman SAW the OP and the boy arrive together and followed then through the parking lot and into the store, so she KNEW they that father and son had come together. And the kid called out to his mother as mom and was clearly attached to both. There is legit NO doubt about them and even the ladies knew that at this point)
What I find terrible is that they don't consider the childs well being in their thought process. Plus the granny could potentially even have tried to steal the kid from the get go since she was trying to leave the store with it rather than searching for "the actual parents" or telling someone from the store or even asking the kid.

Nickel you are awesome. Hope you and your Family are well. Miss your FB Streams. Happy New Year Mate, all the best and stay safe, Martin.
Wholesome asr
Because of lady number 1's actions you could also charge her with harassment
Since harm was done to the child and her actions were clearly racially motivated, it could probably qualify as a hate crime as well.
the "we have them inside and out" sounded gorgeus
I'm soooooooo happy you got to press charges on those Harpies.
it is insane to me that 3 random people can just walk up to someone and do this to them. this literally makes me never want to go in public with my kid
If I'm not mistaken, there was a case in Japan where the female thief stole an old man's wallet. When the man tried to take his wallet back, the thief accused him of stealing and people rushed to her aid.
As the same Ethnicity as the first guy people always get me confused too and I understand the trouble he has in this so I really feel bad
One of my nieces is mixed. I've had more than 1 run in myself.
@@drunkbillygoat trust it will happen. You should give her a book called “blended” i don’t read a lot but THIS shows me a lot and I think my mind has grown from it
3:38 if I was in this dudes situation, after that "she grabbed my son's hand and started to run" I would have been put to prison for a first degree
Based. Based on god.
Respect nothing, you were absolutely way too nice.
A woman would be allowed to punch her, and a woman would be allowed to punch a man, but in this fucked up world, there's nothing a man can do to take his child back from a woman stealing the child, without landing in jail and thus resulting in the child still losing a parent.
except adoption, mixed race people and second marriages are not rare and any assumptions are the result of blatant racism. if you see a poc around a child and assume theyre a kidnapper it's because you're a dangerous bigot. she WILL get someone hurt in the future. anyone like her isn't a poor sweet confused citizen who should be given the benefit of the doubt, whether or not they then lie to the police. they should have the basics of the world explained to them and then be charged with a hate crime (because that is what this is)
No normal person tries to leave a store with someone else's kid
Yeah cause if they didn't know and they called the police then things could have gone much worse
Why can't people mind their own business? *sigh*
@@whatsawhizzerwebnovels4927 you call it nosing we call it protecting our community we don’t have riots here for a reason you have a family of 5-15 whereas we all group up as a family when you get a flat no one but the tow truck will care but here 30 people will pull over and ask you if you need help
@@speakerboxxers3618 when it gets to the point where you're profiling people just because of their skin color and trying to destroy lives, it's hard to call it "protection".
She deserves to have the book thrown at her.)
For the second story, absolutely not the correct thing to do (seriously, nobody do this), but it still would have been so hard for me to resist the temptation to just turn to my daughter and say "honey, would you like to touch her hair too?" and then just grab a good handful of the lady's hair and yank her head down to the daughter's level with all my might.. "Well, I'm just letting my daughter touch your hair"...
I started Laughing Out Loud at 7:30. Not gonna lie, it was relieving.
Omgosh FINALLY a good cop found. Nice i pray this man took this to the fullest.
All cops aren't bad, so quit with demeaning of them.
