They were meant to cheer up the world during the pandemic. I heard you call them "boys" but as you know, ages 26-31 are not boys. Not sure how old you are! Your first task is to get to know faces and voices so you can get past hair. Seems like you know a lot of that. And after that, their roles. You noted J-Hope's dancing, he is the dance leader. There's a new guide out updating Taylor's guide, it goes to Feb 2024, and so includes info about solo work. It's called A Helpful Guide to BTS (or Bangtan or something). It's much longer, twice as long (1.5 hours) because when they went on hiatus suddenly there was an explosion of work! JK said he did the videos on Golden about 3 days each. There are videos for most of the songs. V, on the other hand, takes his time and said 3 weeks. So it's individual style. Group videos differ because lots and lots of practice goes into them, not to mention all the staff work of set design and set up (even build), props, costumes, etc. This was basically two or three rooms in their main Hybe office. It was covid, so nothing fancy at all. Be sure to watch the Grammy 2022 performance!

I've seen Grammy recommendations, there are actually 2. One was done in Korea during the pandemic where they end up on top of a hotel on a helicopter pad, another was done in May 2022 in Las Vegas. Both are worth seeing but I think what folks are recommending is the 2022 version. It's EPIC!

I kind of feel you on the hair though. JK and Suga are the only members where i'm like, the black hair is SO DAMN FINE that I always think "BUT BLACK HAIR" when they have other colors. If you want to dive into more Butter, the Grammy performance is amazing, but be careful about copyright on that one. The making of is great, but you see poor Jimin stressing out because he had to take over dance practices. Also hotter remix is one of my favorites when I need to laugh. You need to keep an eye on the background when you watch and there’s a video called Things you didn’t notice in the Hotter remix (or close to that). There’s a reason I call them my favorite idiots. Jimin with rainbow hair, an undercut, and dangly earrings is everything. Then add those sunglasses and a perfectly tailored suit? Wow.
People do speculate a lot on whether there could ever be an 8th member of bts, and of course we all know its extremely unlikely. Like, they've been together for over a decade. They lived together for most of that. They grew up together (literally in some cases--JK had just graduated from middle school and Jimin and V were in the middle of high school when they debuted). They fought their way to the top together. Who could possibly ever just... step in and join a group like that as an equal? lol THAT SAID, after watching the last episode of Suchwita (Suga's youtube talkshow where he interviews the other BTS members, as well as other idols and random korean celebrities)... I honestly think El Capitxn (Jang Yijeong) could become an unofficial 8th member, or at least one who joins them for live performances. If you don't know him, he's a songwriter/producer and a former idol--he was the main singer of his own group that debuted at the same time as BTS, but medical/neurological issues forced him to stop singing. At some point, he and Yoongi became besties (Yoongi even offered to pay for his medical treatment), and eventually Yijeong became a producer for Hybe, which is of course, BTS' company. He and Yoongi work on a lot of the same songs--Daechwita, for example, is one that they wrote together by passing it back and forth. Yijeong has also worked on a few BTS songs, and one of Jungkook's solos (Stay Alive). Yoongi never stopped pushing Yijeong to get back to performing, and for Yoongi's solo world tour last year, he asked Yijeong to DJ for him. So Yijeong joined him onstage, and they absolutely tore it up together. So yeah, if BTS ever has need of an onstage DJ for performances going forward, this guy that they all know and have worked with, and that Suga loves to drag along with him, seems like he'd be the perfect fit. It wouldn't be the first time they've had one of their producers perform with them either... Supreme Boy (who was an eaaaaarly member of BTS in pre-debut times but dropped out when they switched from a hip hop group to an idol group) was featured on their song Cypher Pt. 3, and he has performed it live with them. Maybe some people would consider him an 8th member, but as I understand it, he's kind of problematic somehow? (I don't know details) So a lot of ARMY like to pretend he doesn't exist. 😂

As an Irish person I think it’s hilarious how everyone is always grossed out by Hobi eating Butter on its own. Irish butter is very creamy and delicious and is very easy to eat. I’d have no problems with eating a lump of Kerrygold on its own. 😂😂😂 Just a fun observation. I concede that other countries butter isn’t great.
