In Suga's talk show, Suchwita, Suga asks why Jimin didn't come to him to help with this song (because of the 'Part 2') and Jimin said he wanted his own story and voice. Suga thought that Jimin made the right decision.
Suga also has an older song called 'Nevermind' and one of the lines is "Nevermind. It's not easy but engrave it into your chest". Jimin has a large tattoo across his right ribcage that says 'Nevermind'. You don't see it in this video, though.
But it's heartwarming how much they admire, encourage, and love each other. It is a true brotherhood. 💜
BTW, that talk show episode with them is a mess....in all the good ways. 😂😂 It's a drinking talk show and they get a little tipsy. Those two are the most bickering, hilarious, goofy, sweet brothers. 💜

Another comment, Jimin is well read and extremely intelligent. He selected the poem and he suggested putting it on his chest in German. He’s also very precise and careful, and he was deeply involved in every part of his MVs. I have no doubt that everything in them was how he wanted it to be. All of Jimin’s music is quality over quantity, which I’m confident comes from his desire for it to match exactly his vision.
Everything was perfect about this song! That includes his vocals, the music video, the dancing, the clothing, the lighting, etc. You can tell he really takes time when it comes to his music and music videos !

I think one of the things I find fascinating about Jimin is that while he has probably the fewest solo and collab pieces, they are incredibly diverse. He experimented a lot on his debut album FACE, each song, including the hidden one, is very different from the others, and they are all very different from his other solos and collabs. He has an amazing vocal range, which most people didn’t notice until his debut album because a few years into BTS’s journey, he ended up as the person who sings high, breathy, and pure notes and he rarely had any parts other than that, but he can growl with the best of them and in fact, I really love his lower register. He puts a lot of his personal emotions into his lyrics and the music he composed, and FACE is an album that is all him. The album is his story of being depressed and coming out of it during the pandemic. He’s quite the artist and I loved how much he surprised everyone with this song.
Ps. Yoongi is good now. He’s worked through it and come out the other side in a good place. As has Jimin. You could really see how happy both of them were in the past year, at least prior to their enlisting.
Jimin is very talented thats for sure and up until now I didn't really know how talented but now my questions has been answered ! I cant wait to hear more of his unique sound in the future! Also, I am glad to here suga is doing so much better , the way the woman made it seem in the explained video is he still is struggling but I am glad to hear that he is doing much better ! Jimin is gorgeous. He has a voice to match. His tone brings a uniqueness to bts which makes them different from other kpop groups. His stage presence does the same with his dancing skills and sexiness you can’t stop watching him. All the members are amazing. Listen to ,with you, lie, filter( sexy mv), and of course serendipity.

The “part.2” is common on BTS songs as groups and soloist
Another example is “Airplane” by j-hope which is part of his first mixtape called “Hope World” in 2018 and “Airplane pt.2” by BTS on their Album LOVE YOURSELF:TEAR back in 2018 too.
In which JHOPE used a rap verse of his “Airplane” and made it according to the genre “Airplane pt.2” by BTS was which is Latin Pop. They are THAT talented.

About the MAP OF THE SOUL. Is a serie of BTS albums, it started with MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA in 2019 (in reference of Carl Jung Model of the psyche) and it was supposed to follow the next two ones “EGO” & “SHADOW” but RM said bc of timing they couldn’t release two albums, so instead they released a combination of these two “ego and shadow” and was named “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” their 4th Studio album in which Shadow is the intro and Ego is the outro.
This album was released in 2020 weeks before the pandemic breakout, so the promotion was short, along with the story of this album they had planned “CONNECT BTS” which was their Art Global Project & their Art filming Music video called “Black Swan” featuring a modern dance that talks about the Fear of losing Passion on what you love( in their case in Music)
Black Swan was the Pre-release single of that Album, they even had a TOUR for this album called “MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR” too but was sadly first suspended in March bc of COVID and then later completely cancelled in October of 2020 😭😭😭
You should react to Like Crazy - by Jimin is the title track of his Album, While, Set me Free pt.2 was the pre-release track! Or even better listen to Jimin’s álbum FACE. 💜

It was his idea to have the set designed like a circular prison. He was also hands on involved with the choreography. It was Jimin’s idea also to go shirtless in second half, with the writing on Jimin’s torso, all his idea, the German words of well known famous 19th century Austrian poet, Widening Circles, Written by Rainer Maria Rilke. I like when reactors watch explain videos, if they don't understand what just happened. Some of their songs have a lot of Korean cultural meanings, and DKDK TV is a great channel for those videos, as they are Korean (and speak English well).
Jimin's album is a masterpiece to me. He contributed to every song and it was his journey through the pandemic.

❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, of last year, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off”, “Alone”, as well as hidden track “Letter” are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. ❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! Set me free is fierce, angry Jimin. For many the essence of Jimin's singing is his ability to sound intimate and angelic. Even with this Face album there is a hidden track for Armies called Letter. More recently he released Closer Than This, a beautiful, intimate song.

This sounds actually a new sounds for Jimin. He usually bringing a soothing, calming or emotional sounds. Same with Jhope "more", we didnt expected they will bring a new sounds that not usually they do. We really catch by big surprised when they release that songs ("set me free pt 2" and "more") coz they get out from their comfort zone, shows their versatile with bring a new sounds that even us as a fans, never expected it. Beside, we also surprised Jimin cuss on this song lol.. coz he never cuss before (that 'a job' of BTS rapline, to cuss n roasting people even goverment or society or situation in their lyrics since they debut 😂😂😂). This song is really shows us a new Jimin side for 10 years we have know him with his music colour n sounds also in lyrical wise.

He talks alot about this album on Suga's talk show. Jimin had ideas and had written parts of these songs during Covid lock down which was longer, in Korea and much more intense in some parts of the country. He talks about struggling with many things and how he snapped out of it. If you want a explanation to this song, there is a behind the scenes with Jimin, and the producers of Big Hit, and on suga's talk show. I really enjoyed this reaction. I couldn’t agree more with the interpretation. BTS or in this case, Jimin has behind the scenes videos and interviews about what this song represents and his album, but at the same time we can use it for ourselves as well. I think this is one of the many things that separates BTS from other artists. They are not afraid to put out there what they struggled with or worries. It makes us relate to them so much, yes they live in a world away from us but their music and lyrics are right next to us and pushing us forward.
Bookish Theories and DKDKTV are the two channels I look to for references and as ARMY, we will watch those with you.

Yoongi aka Suga actually is at peace with himself and everything. His solo tour D-Day is a finale to his 3 albums..Agust D, D2 and D-Day..the set list tells his story along with videos and at the very last show yoongi walks through the open door(which was closed if u see the amygdala MV) finally being free from all the pain and suffering he was going through in the past..he is finally at peace. He explains it's time to say good by to AgustD now that he has grown and not so full of anger anymore. You mentioned the positivity the boys sing about. Even when Suga is spiting he turns it positive. He is an introvert but he is always very caring and provides positive feedback to his members when they are insecure. He is a wise old soul. I love him.

The depth of individual self exploration and growth in these songs is astounding. The references from literature, the sciences, especially physics and psychology show a committment toward self actualization, personal freedom, that is rare and precious. A dear mentor once said that the most difficult and most rewarding path in life is the journey into self. It seems that each BTS member has bravely taken that path. It is a courageous choice. Honor, respect and gratitude to them for bringing us along and inspiring us to do the same.

An explanation video after the MV would be awesome! Especially for BTS songs and videos as they rely heavily on symbolism and hidden meanings which are all connected and layered from their previous songs.
It is kinda crazy. We watched them grow up and to some they are still "our boys", but those boys are now grown men. That alone can be a hard thing to accept.

As with all BTS members, their style changes as often as hair colors and it’s always something you never expect. Keep going! 💜
RM has stated that however you wish to interpret the music is fine. When you come back to a song again, you may find yourself interpreting differently, depending on your own perspective. The music is deep enough for many interpretations.
The more and more I listen to the songs I have already reacted to I still find more hidden details that I didn't notice before and I find myself having different emptions sometimes too ! lol Its like a rollercoaster, my moods and feelings are always changing even with the same song lol 😊💜
The issue of Jimin's pain isn't as much about others watching him. He IS the tower because it's himself that watches, judges, and mocks himself. It's his inner voice (Enemy in the song) that has always said he wasn't good enough.
Jimin has always practiced himself to the bone because he didn't feel as good or as prepared as the others in BTS no matter how much they reassure him.
He was picked as a trainee due to his talent in contemporary dance and his looks. He had been a top contemporary dance student in Busan, but that training didn't translate to the choreography expected of the idol trainees.
He was almost cut 8 times. Label owner CEO Bang didn't think he fit BTS. It was the insistence of the other BTS members that he was picked. RM and SUGA recognized his beautiful singing tone and insisted they needed Jimin. Bang agreed, admitting he's not always right.. So Jimin was the last picked for BTS. But his struggles only got worse.
He would practice 18 hours a day trying to get the choreo. Often only sleeping 3 hours. He would sleep in the practice room so he could get more time in. The others would hear him apologizing even in his sleep.
Because he was chosen last, he didn't get the vocal training the others were already getting. He would sit in on sessions and then try on his own. Even once the group had their debut, he felt inadequate. Not having a trained voice actually partially caused him to lose is voice on their first major tour.
Even RM said this wrnt on for years.... and that if practice and hard work were a talent... Jimin was a genius at it. Still, he would beat himself up over minor mistakes or if his voice cracked. SUGA once found him crying in front of the bathroom at a TV performance because he thought he wasn't good enough to sing live. SUGA reassured him.
Although he did get a vocal coach... and his style of dancing truly helped transform BTS into more than a Hip Hop Idol group; this really continued through to the pandemic when he faced all of it and the prospect of not performing.
He admits the others were working more than him on projects during lockdown and he was drowning his sorrows by drinking too much (Hence the Crazy song also on Face). His brothers on BTS and the company then encouraged him to work through all this by creating music and this became FACE.. And so here we are with Jimin finally telling his inner self (called enemy in the song) to shut the F up and get out of his way.
While I'm an OT7... both he and SUGA have a little extra of my heart largely due to their mental health struggles. KPop has lost too many to suicide. SUGA came way too close and I honestly think Jimin did too. I'm so glad these 7 have bonded and help each other through hardships like this.

I love Bookish Theories, she does a really good job of connecting the other songs with a similar meaning. Also, JIMIN did state that the did get inspiration from ON. His whole album is about his journey, and feelings during the pandemic and right after, until he started the process of his album. It was a journey for his to embrace his artistry, and learn new skills, as well as a healing journey and a way to express himself. He came out on the other side as a more confident artist. I believe that all the members have grown a lot on their solo journey's, and they will be even more grown up and experienced after their military service. I look forward to JIN coming home in JUNE of this year. He has yet to release his album, because he enlisted first, and he released a solo single, but it was beautiful. 'The Astronaut'. If you have a chance, you should listen to it. Also, you really should react to JIMIN's album, his songs are amazing. And his album is a chronological journey through his feelings during the pandemic, so it would be good to listen to them in order.

What beautiful about BTS songs they all is somehow connected to each other a song from an older album or from a book they read they don't just write the words without a deeper search for everything.. Maybe you noticed that they look for Philosophical books and how to free yourself from the constraints of society and self-love because no one can save you but yourself

There are plenty of things have been said in the comments already, but I wanted to note "the gaze" you mentioned multiple times. He indeed has that hypnotising magical captivating gaze (reminds me of Ian Somerhalder a little). And Jimin KNOWS about it and his effect on people, he uses his "magic" all the time 😅
Fun story from one of the journalists who shared it after one of BTS' press-conferences: During such press events, Jimin likes to play a little "game". He stares down each journalist one by one until the other can't handle it and averts their gaze. Asserting dominance and pressure, I guess LOL
Actually, because of his gaze and "aura" Jimin gives off while he's not actively smiling or being nice, Korean fans dabbed him the "Ice Prince" since he is very intimidating. However, that's just the first impression. Once he starts talking to you (and he usually talks softy, especially with fans) and smiling, he's like an angel instantly uplifts your mood and heals your soul 😊

This song style surprised the heck out of ARMY, too, when it was released...very different from his earlier solo work (Lie, Filter, Serendipity, Promise, etc). His album, FACE, is fantastic. You should also check out Like Crazy off of the same album, it's a totally different vibe from this. Our guys are so versatile! The line "gotta go insane to stay sane" is also used in the BTS song "ON". That was mentioned in the explainer video, but I don't think ON being another BTS song was super clear. (I can't remember if you've reacted to that. There are two music videos for it; I usually recommend the ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima). Blood, Sweat, and Tears is an awesome song and music video! Thanks for the reaction.

Taeyang is a singer and dancer (from the group BigBang) that Jimin and other BTS members look up to. Suga, last we know, is doing fine. You listened to his album D-Day. The song Amygdala talks about his struggles with his traumas and fears. In the video there is a white door that he can't seem to open. On the last performance of his Agust-D tour a white door appeared on stage at the end of the concert and he opened it freely, smiled and waved and walked through it and closed the door behind him.
I hope you won’t skip the dance practice for this one, it’s on another level! Also the Like Crazy dance practice is a whole new experience you will not regret. The mv had no dancing but the live performances were a sexy smooth jaw dropping choreo, so the dance practice is a must!
