Guest bio: Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAI, the company behind GPT-4, ChatGPT, Sora, and many other state-of-the-art AI technologies.
Sam Altman explains nothing about OpenAI board drama.
It was probably about the Queit star (Q*) project which involves giving AI internal monologue to help it reason better this internal monologue is hidden from the user
Lex really should be more critical. I mean we're talking about a company that holds our fate in it's hands, the board members were afraid that Sam could make a huge mistake, and Lex keeps talking without any stress. Sam should be held to intense scrutiny and he probably should have been thrown out if the board decided that was the way to go in the name of humanity
It is normal for him to talk about nothing
@@simonmatuschek3609 He's a podcaster, not a journalist
@@simonmatuschek3609 "our fate in its hands" definitely not dude... wait until casual AI users realize that LLM's won't get us closer to AGI like at all.
The art of saying a lot without saying anything at all.
It’s not just me then
I had the same impression! It is just frustrating, I think he never replied the questions
This one almost put me to sleep 😂
wow .. this such a softball interview. clearly the board had concerns but zero questions about this.
Is it just me or is Lex getting frustrated with Sam giving non-answers?
Listening to Altman explain things for 2 hours straight could do that sometimes.
To trust or not to trust. It’s all risky and unpredictable. Hopefully the cream rises to the top.
At the middle of the interview his frustration was totally visible
I don’t think Sam answered one question genuinely in that entire interview. The guy is Machiavelli reincarnated
The future is kinda scary right now.
Did he say “between when open ai started and when we CREATED AGI “ or am I tripping? 1:50 , is AGi already here?
Yo wtf 😱
I really enjoy these more mundane videos with people's day to day
2 monotone sounding men talking, and that vocal fry, omg i just cant. Can someone summary the whole thing for me? Much thanks
Ask ChatGPT ;-)
Suit man ask questions, gray shirt man gives unrelated answers
Okay I thought it was just me because I obsess about my own audio. I heard the clip but had a problem listening.
Ask Gemini. It can actually do it.
Why feel so down youngcat, everyone is talking ai but they:
1.Dont even know if its 1 or more ai's.
2. Havnt dove into its lightning fast processing power, so yea 1 minute might translate to 1 hour, so yes it can go insane.
3.ahhh, i got a college ruled notebook somewhere with a bunch of numbers.
4. Wondering where hes at really, and gonna pop up one day-interjection!
AI: The second sentence is back!
ME: aahhhh shiiiiiiiiiitttt son!
ME: Seriously, next time just say "Me AI, me tupid" and ill get it. But you already know
I feel like he does the vocal fry on purpose. It's so disgusting and unbearable.
Leaving 1 min in because of the comments.
Considering how important Ai is going to be to everyone on every level on this earth, Sam Altman, one of the people at the forefront of this technology, fails to realize that by not answering this question about what happened at OpenAi’s board firing, he is essentially labeling himself an untrustworthy individual who is not only extremely intelligent, but also one who will not answer the important questions about Ai.
The fact that Ilya initially fired him, tells me everything I need to know.
And that is, Mr Altman, as incredibly intelligent as he maybe, may pose a threat to the safety of human beings and this earth as we know it.
My ✌️ cents.
This is insanity.
This is the man in charge of the biggest weapon on earth? Doom on the horizon.
nvda
Hmm, scary dude.
You will not evade God's judgment, Altman
You’re shareholder is google (Microsoft).
Sounds like a hairdresser.
Why is he the ceo of this company?
Something is just not right about Sam. There is an *extreme* narcissist inside there. Not good.
Doesn't answer the question and whats with the strained, false voice. Disappointing.
It's almost impressive how boring this is
