I’ve put this off for so long. Thank you for answering the simple question about “how to adjust a focus (st) headlight” if people need to learn how to adjust a cars headlights in general they shouldn’t be looking at a specific car. Great video!
ford does it differently than all other companies, fords are unreliable and slow, mazda has plug in play headlights with no need for adjustment, and if you need to for any reason, its a hand screw.
I don’t care what you think of fords. Nor do I care what Mazda does. This video answered my question perfectly and I was more than happy having an actual bolt to adjust my headlight.
My passenger-side beam is lower than the left, so it's hard to see around a corner or you get a headache because the road is lit unevenly. After I locate the screws, I will get a LONG hex tool to adjust it on a dark road.
Mine are at max height and I still overrun them at 40mph. I want to shim them, but then it will look goofy in the bumper. It just isn't enough, especially for how dark the streets are in my residential college area.

Hey Garth, not sure having not owned one but I'd assume it's very similar. Headlights are not rocket science and manufacturers tend to reuse designs for efficiency.
Ya ford likes that 7mm for some reason... I just changed brake pads and rotors on my 02 focus svt and had to stop everything to go buy a 7mm... the caliper wasn't coming off without it smh
@@robertmann1953 title is how to adjust. Finding and knowing what to do are usually the most difficult part of this simple operation. If you want to pull up to a wall 36" away then set a tape line 24" off the ground, twist until the beam light is level with then you're lights are adjusted, there you go. That's the technical part. This is a short video on here's where the bolt is and this is what it does. Glad you liked it!

Thanks for this tutorial, I havent got very far though, I'm still waiting for a jet to pass over.
Move close to the Lockheed plant and you too can have f35s fly over on a consistent basis to help get those adjusted!

That's the most important step nearly everybody misses!
Clockwise raises beam, counter clockwise lowers beam. I’ve had to look for this video on the side of the road in the dark twice lol

Might have been a bit aggressive. Start with two and see how you like it.
@phil_hazzy I did 1.5 turns and I'll check and see how that looks I hate how the HIDs have a hard cutoff

You can only adjust 'when' a jet flies over. Not before. Not after!
What about high beams. I got after market ones for my 2016 se and the high beams don’t work
They're adjusted the same way. If the bulbs don't work at all then you might need a load resistor or something if they're not a direct replacement.

Every Allen set ever goes from 6 to 8.
Are these headlights the self-levelling units?
They didn't level but they did turn with the steering wheel.
try it in the dark and on a wall ull see better
Hi what’s the size of the Allen key? I’ve tried 6mm and 8mm which are either too small or too big. I assume it’s imperial?
