@@cDisturbed. thanks! I was genuinely curious. I tried some vintage emperors on a cherry mahogany set that I had as well as regular clear emperors on a walnut Gretsch kit. Both sounded great but for some reason I always land back on Evans. The HD Dry snare head is my favorite.
@@drumminjc ahh nice man, I used to be a massive Evans guy but I just got the new Pearl reference one and the EC2s I put on sounded pretty bad lol so I swapped to Remo. All the staff at My local drum shop said remo was better so why not lol. I was a massive fan of the ST dry head but didn’t sound too good when I played rimshots. I’m now using the Remo P77 coated on my snare!
Hey keep up the good effort one day you will be famous all hopes in your dreams
@@Ghastly_edits2 thanks for the encouragement!

Hi how is the purpleheart wood compared to maple? Whats the difference in tone and sustain?
Purpleheart has a sharper attack than maple and a bit more bottom end. These also seem to project a bit more than my maple kit.
@drumminjc thank you very much sir, and more power to your channel!
@@mjtan6787 you’re welcome! Thanks!
Evans heads on a DW should be illegal
What would be your go to setup for heads?
@@drumminjc your kit does sound great btw lol, clear Remo pinstripes 😍
