- I've already uploaded two vids of Cool Edge Day but I wanted to make a 4K 60 fps video. This would be perfect it it was possible to make Sonic World Adventure run at 60 fps but as far as I know, it is not currently possible, so I have to deal with Sonic shouting like a mad man every time he is using the boost. Oh well, at least there is finally a Cool Edge Day Wii 4K 60 fps video. :D

Thanks! This one was TAS though because I'm really not a fan of Unleashed Wii controls and physics. Way too clunky and unresponsive.
I've seen gameplay on the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed and it seems pretty complicated compared to the 360.
Yeah, there's definitely something very iffy about the controls.

@@animatorbroman3710 Better controls ? Not really. Better level design??? FALSE. Are we watching the same video? The level design here is literally just flat terrain with barely any obstacles. This doesn't come anywhere near the HD version

I'm surprised they managed to shove Sonic Unleashed gameplay onto a Wii and still make it look (relatively) good.
Makes you wonder how they managed to screw up with the Storybook series.
Edit: And, of course, them somehow managing to, with Sonic Colors, pull the hedgehog engine completely over.
err what do you mean? Colors didn't use the hedgehog engine
also this wasn't the same dev team who made the wii/PS2 version of the game.
Finally Black knight is not that bad compared to Secret ring
1. Yes, my mistake. It was PhsyX. Still pretty impressive they managed to get full daytime-unleashed gameplay onto the Wii.
2. Doesn't really matter. Still pretty impressive for whoever pulled this off.
3. Yeah, they're not bad but they're not really good sonic games.
i would have liked to see Colors with the hedgehog engine
Dimps were good dev that made some of the best 2D Sonic (too bad they fell by making Sonic 4 and the portable version of Lost World)
They're spin offs, i dunno if any series managed to do some that are as great as the main titles (personally one of my fav spin of is metal gear rising)
J R They may have gotten the concept of the daytime levels on the Wii, but they were watered down to a T.

Even in 4K, the HD version of Unleashed just looks more polished and better. The level design and look are just so dull in the SD version.

Just Another Sonic Fan I mean, you are not lying, but the PS3 version is 60fps, and when it does run consistently at 60fps, it's great. But we really need a PC port of Unleashed. The amount of benefits it can get would be staggering. Or at least a port to current gen consoles for just a better framerate.
Well of course it was developed on weaker hardware so the couldn't have all the advanced graphical effects the hd version has

@@saave200 I mean you can get it on psn network or something and play it on ps4 and/or ps5. Not sure if it helps with framerate though

No, just Dolphin. It has a feature for dumping frames, that's how I record most of the videos from Dolphin.

Even though I still think on average the HD version is better, I do like this stage more when it comes to spectacle, aesthetic and the bobsleigh sections.
How did you get in running in 60fps?
Do you know where to download Sonic Unleashed? I found a download website yet when I downloaded it the file wouldn't work with the Emulator.
I don't know what's the best site to download from, I got my .ISO years ago.
Is it me, or is the camera more zoomed out in the 3D sections than normal?
That is unlikely. It I was using free look feature (in Dolphin emulator, it lets you move the camera), then 2D sections would have been zoomed out as well but they aren't.

on PS3 version I can't see a flippin' fly about what's going on, and here the only thing I can catch up with is Sonic boosting and jumping..
..I think Sonic Mania has slowed me down, rip.
I don't wanna be that guy, but were the levels in this version always this bland in the Wii version? Maybe my memory is being clouded by Nostalgia, but I could have sworn that there was some more variety in the set pieces.

Technically I mean, why is is it in this version ya only fight the boss that Africa based level and neither the daytime or nighttime level?

segafan13 I mean best of luck trying to NOT die in the HD version's Eggmanland! 😱 But surprisingly since the level's SOOO damn long, longer than the River Wear, they allow you to die like couple of times and you can STILL manage to get an S rank, I've seen the great Clement's play through! XD

I know its just hopeful thinking,but it would be great that someday someone modded Sonic Colors to play Unleashed(Wii) stages, i hated the boost in Unleashed cause it was HGRRROOAAAA every 3 seconds lol and it ruined the not-so-good empty hallway sections in the day stages lol

Both have pros and cons. I would still say the HD version is better though.

There is a lot of difference, but it does look much better in 4K.
SD Unleashed Remaster when?
This is the Wii version not the PS2 version. They have the same Level layout but the PS2's character model is much more choppy.
The HD version has far better lighting and much more detailed assets.
Is it possible to mod Unleashed Wii? It'd be cool if someone ported over levels from Sonic Adventure or Shadow the Hedgehog.
I've only seen texture mods.

I don't think there is any difference between either of the SD versions besides the graphics. I suppose Ps2 version could be less stable of the two but it would be better to ask those who actually played both versions on real consoles.
ArtFenixAsordis The only difference that I know of is that, in the PS2 version, Sonic's skin doesn't have some kind of gloss. He looks a little dark-colored.

Sonic's quills aren't animated in the PS2 version. It's like they're frozen solid or something.
