House of the Rising Sun is an American folk song, thought to be written by Georgia Turner and Bert Martin. The most well known version was recorded by Eric Burdon and The Animals in 1964. This show takes place early in the eighties

    Some facts about this song.
Johnny said himself several time that if his musical career hadn’t worked out, he would have turned into a delinquent and end up in jail.
Johnny did a concert in a penitentiary once. When he left, he could hear by the windows all the prisoners singing « les portes du pénitencier ».

This is a 'cover' of an american folks song. Most would say it's by The Animals but it isn't. It is a very old cowboy tune that still haunts many musicians as it originally deals with a woman trying to survive in a brothel without much hope for the future

    Johnny was sweating a lot.
Alcohol and drugs are probably a part of the reasons.
But, despite being a public figure, he was shy. And when you're shy, you tend to easily sweat in front of people.
And you can add the heat of the lights too.

If Johnny doesn't sweat on stage, it's not Johnny, it's an understudy ... U can be sure! :)))
If you want to listen one of Johnny's landmark songs, I recommend: "Johnny Hallyday - Vivre Pour Le Meilleur (Clip Officiel Remasterisé)". This song written for him by his son David is artistically the perfect mix between "Requiem pour un fou" (Requiem for a mad man) and "L'envie" (Envy).
This video has already been viewed over 37 million times. The orchestration, the arrangements, Johnny's voice, everything is perfect. When we see this clip, we understand why Johnny was "Le patron" en France. :)

Here is a song that is iconic for French Canadians. The name of the song is Un plus haut, un peu plus loin. The song was launched at a huge outdoor event concert in 1975 by the legendary Quebecer singer, Ginette Reno. You have to know that many times in interviews and such singers like Céline Dion and Lara Fabian talked about how much they admire Ginette Reno.
So, here is Un peu plus haut, un peu plus loin sang by Jean-Pierre Ferland, Céline Dion and Ginette Reno. It was also performed at an outdoor concert of Céline Dion back in 2008. Jean-Pierre Ferland who is also a legend for French Canadians is the songwriter of the song.
You can find the English translated lyrics on lyricstranslate.
I really enjoy your channel. Thanks!
