Vortex was a reason I prefered COF to Dimmu back in times of "holy wars" Cradle vs Dimmu. :) Mustis and Nagash were true losses for Dimmu. Nick Barker either, but at least Hellhammer an Daray are excellent as well.

vortex's voice is freaking amazing.
I love so much music, all different sorts, hiphop to classical, from to pop to reggae, from trance to Enya, but Dimmu Borgir will be always be the best band ever. Everything is incredible and divine.
This was a spectacular comment and perfectly captures how I feel about Amon Amarth.
Dimmu is absolutely in my top 3, right there with Judas Priest.
(I can’t believe you named Enya lol.. who doesn’t love them some Orinoco Flow 🤣).
I have exactly the same taste in music, i.e. everything.
I also rank Dimmu one of my favourite artists. I think it's because they bridge the gap between two genres, classical and metal (towards the more extreme, therefore technical [I really enjoyed technical skied musicianship])

When I first heard this, I thought Star Wars invaded black metal, then I was just blown away by how hard it crushes after the intro. I love this entire album.

Ya know, normally i would just throw black metal out the window and call it rubbish after I give it a try, but this band...just...Yes. Is just perfect in vocals, the instruments don't overpower everything, it isn't just repetitious drums, the Chorus parts are just mindblowing. This band is perfect in every way!
Especially live, I saw them on this tour and they motherfucking killed!
