Great pair of knives!! File & wire was a way of testing the knife blade's hardness. The process involved cutting the blade with a new file and then testing it by cutting a wire. They used this method like 60-70 yrs ago.

Both great pieces. Some of my favorite knives to carry are the ones that had already been "broken in" or scratched up a little before I got it. As the knife Doctor says... sometimes you just gotta let an old knife be an old knife. You are going to enjoy carrying that one.

A couple of real beauties you have there Jerry. That S&M easy open jack is fantastic. I'm not certain but think the bone covers on that one are called ACSB or American Cut Stag Bone. Great score my friend.

I’ve been bidding on several. Funny story….
I was bugging on an awesome Red Coke bottle!
There was 18 minutes left and I was high bidder at $110
I came back about 3 minutes to go and the bid was at$370!!!
