I edit everything in camtasia, and I really appreciate this new features! But, What about on improving the performance of the software?, I mean, just only editing a 720p project, camtasia devores 12GB of ram! Even using proxy videos.
100% I am the one who moves the cursor around to much and recently said I don't use auto-zoom because my cursor confused the software. Maybe this will help fix that 😀
Have you added rewind yet? The only way I know of doing it is cutting each frame of your video and putting the beginning at the end which is very time consuming
Is it better to record PowerPoint presentations from within PowerPoint? Or by exporting the PPT pages as image files? If I don't use PPT animation, what do I gain using PowerPoint? Some kind person please advise.
Have you had a chance to explore TechSmith Knowmia? We currently have auto-captioning available on that platform, which also allows you to upload videos with embedded quizzing features as well. And you can have Conversations activated so learners can ask questions as specific moments in a video. knowmia.com
Bro why is there no fullscreen button??? (no one wants to detach player just to hit fullscreen) Why does Windows Movie Maker 2012 have more pan and zoom effects (which are far more simpler and easier to use) than camtasia 2022???? WMM even has a button to automatically fit to music (In camtasia I have to manually drag the length to match)
You can make any edits to a template you're working with and then go to File -> Export -> Template. If you end up with duplicates, under the Template Manager just click the three dots at the bottom right of the template, and you can choose to Export, Rename or Delete it.

Love the new version - already have a feature request for the next one (or update)! :) 1. It would be VERY cool to have a "split while recording" option. Like a hot key - so I could record an entire demo and split it into segments as I recorded it - for later narration. Each segment would be separated automatically. 2. Then, a feature where I could select a series of split clips and use an "add gap" feature to place a time between each. So if I had 10 separate clips, I could select them all, put 5-10 seconds between them and edit each as a separate "part" that I could then bring together. Hit me up if you need more clarification :) I already do this the "long" way, but the ability to cut as I record would be unique and super cool.
I'm happy to chat more with you about this. I've got all kinds of crazy ideas about auto-splitting. Would be cool to add some color from you (I think I get the basic gist, but I'd like to plumb a little deeper on why / what).

Hello, Is there a save preset of the recording area now? or still the same? i record in a different sizes and monitors. So I always had to resize and move the recording area when i changed monitors :( a save recording area preset would be really helpful
Camtasia has been able to do this for a few versions, however it's not a constant. We use a Variable Frame Rate in our Camtasia Recorder, meaning it can record UP TO 60fps but may not stay at 60 if that's not needed.
Please add animation speed graph it's the only thing which restricts my animation in camatasia and have to switch in other software which supports this feature
Are you referring to an ease effect or something different? We don't have manual easing, but we have some automated options. Right-click the animation arrow in the timeline, and choose "Animation Easing," then you can choose from a few options.
@@techsmith As a software developer, I think that TechSmith do a great job of making complex features (like Animation Easing) simple to use and that is what most users want. Otherwise I would be using more complicated software with a really steep learning curve that limits the customer base.

we need intergration with Audio Plugin while we screen recording like VST plugin and so, OBS has doing a realy good job on this.

Camtasia team, could you add the option to edit a template so you dont have to duplicate templates?

I don't believe that feature was added, no. Custom Regions can be selected, but not saved as presets.
