Thanks for the candid conversation about life Sherman. I’m almost 25 and still working in fast food with no clue as to what I want to do. I have a lot of medical issues, think that I have undiagnosed adhd, and have been supporting myself and paying for rent/bills since I was 16. All this to say I still feel so behind in life trying to figure it all out and it can be hard when it seems like everyone around you has it all figured out. Currently trying to get my medical issues under control but I appreciate you opening up about it ❤️
Totally loving the very real fern in your shower! I have a fake snake plant in mine and I totally agree that they are necessary evils in specific areas. I have way too many dried plants/grasses as well 😅

I didn't get to comment this in the collab video early enough, but you and Alice are so hilarious and seeing you two hanging around together just fills me with joy. Like of course I love your solo content but I just love the energy that radiates off of two people who are of the same wavelength and you guys are exactly that. And the besseae lux and the pendent anthurium whose name I forgot was sick, I can't wait to see them grow in your place. The CBC video was amazing too! I felt like your plant room was cleaner than ever in that video😆 I didn't even remember the anthurium hybrid that you showed in the beginning, you should feature that more often! Also, I think I'm gonna start moving out some of my plants from no drainage😔 It's been a valuable experience growing in no drainage, but a lot of my plants have always had problems with yellowing leaves and I've eliminated all the other reasons that could be causing it because I really wanted no drainage to work. I'm guessing it's just not compatible with a home like mine that receives less light, even though I've adjusted my waterings to align with these conditions. I don't think I'll move everything out, but I'm definitely taking my big anthurium out of it because it's oldest leaves never stopped yellowing since I've had it in no drainage. Edit: I didn't know you were gonna celebrate your birthday!? Happy Birthday Charmaine!! I'm rooting for you and Vince to own property in the near future, it's my dream to have a place to call my own as well!
Ya….I’ve got cheap grow lights and even some mother grow lights that hang out in my plant room, cuz the color is so white! but out in my living room where things should be a bit more pleasing and aesthetic, I gave in too and got some soltech lights. An aspect and the track lighting, sooooo beautiful!! And they are soooo strong.
I absolutely love the ReptiBark brand - pricing/size/quality. The one thing I've personally found is that they often have soil mites. I personally think it's kind of a benefit, but when I'm selling/shipping in that substrate, I worry that people will think I sold them a pesty plant. So now when I get a new bag I always bake it for a while

Hope you had a lovely birthday (sounds/looks like it was!). My birthday was the 13th. I get the mild existential birthday dread and feeling “behind”. I think it’s an off shoot of ADHD related anxiety - it’s harder to feel accomplished because we often lack a sense of time, and accessing long term memory is usually botched in some way, so it’s hard to both remember important milestones and to place them in a timeline. I don’t know if any of that made sense, but what I’m trying to say is I think you’re in good company.💚 love your videos, and I loved the CBC segment. It was interesting to see your space from new filming angles. The difference in filming style made spaces I was familiar with feel new again. 🪴

Have you tried the GE grow light bulb? I'm not sure if its available in Canada though. They make two bulbs afaik but I have the larger one (the 32 watt). I think the color temp is beautiful and its usually on sale for $35. I've never seen a Soltech in person so I can't compare, but I'd be curious to see them next to each other :P Soltech is beautiful... I just know I'll never be able to justify the price for just one bulb
I bought a Soltech bulb for my clamp on grow light. I bought a Soltech bulb as a replacement of one that blew. It won’t fit in the place you put the bulbs. I’m not sure what to do.
I’m with you on the air plants. Can’t keep them alive to safe my life. Use wire cutters to cut the long stem. Vince will know if you have one. Side cutter will work too. How this helps.

hiiii!! Also I laughed at this comment 😂 I definitely do put foundation on my forehead but I must’ve just cut that part out. I don’t put a lot because I have these little bumps that are more noticeable when I have too much makeup on. Also the lip stuff I’m using is actually a lip stain, so I just apply it to the bottom lip and do that little pucker thing to get it on my top lip too since it’s a bit too pigmented when I put it on directly. Good thing I’m not a beauty influencer or we’d be in trouble 😆
