Nobody:
Caraxes: my hooman is choosing violence, therefore I am inexplicably pissed off now
This made my day 😂
The best thing is that Daemon treats Caraxes like an equal, not like something to be owned (many other Targaryeans treated dragons as their slaves). Their bond is real and that makes them two of the most interesting characters. You can just see the lengths Caraxes will go in order to protect Daemon and fight for him
😗 Daenerys targaryen (in Valerian):
A Dragon is not a Slave.
Same with rhaenys to meleys. Refusing to leave her dragon behind.
I agree. Rhaenys’ father, Aemon Targaryen- Daemons uncle, originally owned him but not for long. I feel daemon and caraxes bonded really well together.
@@bitterbites3859 Throws two in the basement in chains
yeah, all green dragons are slaves, for Aegon II sunfyre was more of a status symbol and a kitten
Caraxes was almost 70 years old during dance of the dragons
Still so fast and fierce compared to others
The mighty noodle boy 🐲🖤
This dragon is so gonna be missed when he's gone.
70 to 100 is probably their prime age tbh
vhagar was like 200 lmao
@@delta_0o197 more like 170-80
i like this flying snapping turtle without a shell too. both are perfect together.
That noise he makes before his entrance is like the sound of a weapon about to go off. So scary but so awesome to watch
Apparently, the noise he makes and the way he roars are due to birth defects (possibly a deviated septum). He's kind of an outcast for that reason; the other dragons don't quite treat him the same.
But that's what makes him that much scarier for people, and what brings him that much closer to Daemon.
@@juice7100it also makes gin scarier because of the surprise factor. You won't expect something dangerous and fire breathing making that noise. It sounds quite innocent, like a big bird chirping. But once you see him, it might be just a bit too late to prepare for an attack.
The fact that he makes such innocent cheerful chirps makes him even more terrifying, even tho it sounds a bit un logical, when you think of it, it makes sense. Especially for Daemon, having a dragon that sounds charming, yet has a potential of a war nuke with his attitude and protective nature over his rider
Did anyone notice that when Daemon got hit with an arrow, Caraxes screamed in pain? Daemon and Caraxes seem more bonded than any other dragon and rider in the series, in my opinion. I think the two of them are genuinely connected as more than just the “dragon and rider” bond. It’s like they’re connected by body and soul. I think that’s how Caraxes always knows when to show up.
No shittttt you just now notice
Symbiotic relationship
Bro have you actually watched the series?
Did you read any of the books ? Drogon who ( Danny can barely control in the Books) and Danny scream as one when they get hit . Helena's Dragon Dreamfyre snapped his chain in the Dragon pit after she commits suicide
It's hinted in the books that the Targaryens bond with their dragons in a similar manner to Wargs and their wolves. There is also a certain magic horn that when used is able to bind the horns master with a dragon using blood magic.
Bruh this misses the high pitched squealing that always comes before he pops up. Thats what i like most of him
I’m glad they added that because his long neck would give him that screech
Yeah I dunno how this channel missed those parts. Rather unfortunate
@@Dolorous_Edd_ I didn't miss those parts, it's just that these are moments when Caraxes isn't on screen and video is called "Caraxes Screen Time"
@@monsterxzero touchè
I thought I saw that the show runners mentioned Caraxes also has a slightly crooked septum which does affect his roar and “speech” for that matter. Not sure if it’s true though
Caraxes is like a combination of an Eastern and Western dragon and I love it.
He is just deformed
Images of design choose that they based in a chinese dragon
Vhagar is basically a tank, high hitting, high health Ceraxes is basically an assassin Fast attacks, nimble movement.
Caraxes is more like a knight than assassin
Wait and watch who are powerful 😂😂 and who kill vhagar
@@tanisq7radhe I already know I've read the book. Be careful trying to spoil things dude, just makes you look like an inconsiderate dick tbh, especially to those who haven't read the books.
Vhagar is like a B52 Bomber and poor little Arrax, like a drone.
@@tanisq7radhe vhagar kills caraxes, what kills vhagar is not caraxes, but the fall damage, daemon knew the only way to beat vhagar was that suicide plan
This is 100% my favourite dragon in this series. He's the most unique of all of them imo.
wait till season 2 when you see Tessarion, the Blue Queen. She'll become your favorite
That nuzzle he gives daemon always gets me. Caraxes is just a big red sky puppy.
Most feared dragon of the age especially by the greens. He was honeybadger of dragons wasnt the biggest or the fastest but insanley clever and fierce enough to take on a dragon twice his size and age and win although he died hours later.
My boi wrecked Vaegar lol
@@quintenvoorhees9974 yes he wrecked vhagar's neck and throat but vhagar wrecked him too, tore his wings and belly
@@Att964ofcourse, it was a Kamikaze mission. To go out try killing Vhagar, you have to be willing to die yourself
@@Att964 Too be fair, he crawled out of the God's Eye before he died, Vhagar was dead before that. It was a pyrrhic victory but still, he lived to enjoy it briefly before passing.
The erie sounds this dragon has makes it a living LEGEND.
Thanks to his deviated septum
Honestly my favorite dragon thanks to how unique his visual and sound design is. The screeching that plays before he shows up in a scene is chilling, I love it
They are to me the most linked when Damon put his arm up Caraxes put up his wing to protect him
If you notice daemon is pulling the reins when he lift his arm up, thats what causes caraxes to lift his wing.
Imo their biggest bonding moment is when daemon gets hit and his dragon screams in pain
@@yonirais4699 huh I might have to look again and I think there biggest one was when he took the egg and his dragon came around the corner as if he knew shit was about to go down
And when Daemon get shot in the shoulder Caraxes scream in pain, that's how strong their bond are, share the same feeling if one of them got hurt
And when he got hit by the burning arrows Caraxes screeched in pain too :)
The riders and their dragons are essentially telepathically linked in a way. Caraxes screams in pain when Damon is hit with an arrow. Also during Rhaneryas still birth scene. Syrax is elsewhere screaming in pain.
Jesus Christ. Caraxes is fucking scary. Don't get me wrong, Vhagar is basicaly a cthulhu monstrosity but Caraxes is just unsettling. His looooooong neck makes him look like some unnatural dragon mutant
That's canon actually. Caraxes has birth defects, his long neck (his unique sounds are from this defect) and wing hind legs.
@@jaketheberge1970 I never understand how that's a "defect", it looks like it'd be a totally different species
@@roccotaco1843Have you ever looked at dogs? Mutant wolves, all of them.
@@lunasborednowselectively bred for hundreds of years a wolf doesn’t accidentally have a poodle one day
@@Churros_are_Overrated Good point but maybe when the Targaryen’s came to dragons stone they may of had eggs from those particular breeds that the valerian‘s might have bread before the doom.
By the gods… Caraxes is just so fucking cool. I’m in love with Daemons pet giraffe.
Pet giraffe? 😂😂
Your comment made my day
By the gods? Lame af
@@johnforealdoe8999 …. Are you not familiar with the show?
@@Binks129 Yes.
@@johnforealdoe8999 So you’re aware it’s a quote from the show… right?
I like how Caraxes was born pretty much deformed and misshapen and still managed to look amazing.
My favourite dragon along with Vhagar.
He is the most misunderstood dragons of all, probably not first choice because of his physical stature but extremely extremely lethal and Daemon is absolute same, totally misunderstood.. no wonder their bond is like no other
Quick question which dragon that Caraxes was born from.
@@jaieregilmore971 unknown really, possibly Meraxes, maybe Vhagar
@@jaieregilmore971 d’avant le fléau de valyria les Targaryen en venant sur westeros ont ramené cinq dragons vivants, ++plus des œufs de dragons ou il vient de dragon sauvages peut être 🤷🏼♂️
Ceraxes little coos are so adorable, never have I seen a cuter war crime with wings.
Caraxes is probably my favorite House of Dragons' dragon
The red color is beautiful
The shape when he flies is magnificient, he looks a mix between a swallow and a snake
And his chirps are kinda cute
He's chirping like an Orca, that's why he's my favorite
2:27 Look how hurt Caraxes sounded when a fire arrow hit Daemon
Shows their bond👌
especially since his previous rider died by an arrow to the throat
@@CausticCalamityy who was his previous rider?
@@cristinademartini6653 sorry for the late reply! prior to Daemon, the man who rode Caraxes was Rhaenys’s (Baratheon-Targaryen) father and Daemon’s uncle, Aemon Targaryen (son of Jaehaerys).
@@CausticCalamityy don't worry: thank you very much for answering me^^
True but the Case is the Same way with Rhaenyra and her Dragon Syrax when she's Having Difficulty Giving birth to her daughter You can see Syrax feels her pain too
All this epic danger noodle needed was 4 mins and 33 seconds of screen time to get a fanbase that loves him just as much as they love Daemon
He's so ferocious but he has the cutest squeaks 🥰
2:28 that little sound he made . So cute
Give whoever designed the resplendent angry red noodle a massive raise.
After drogon , Caraxes my favorite dragon in Westeros !!!
Samsies
I think both Caraxes and Vaghar have topped Drogon as my favourite dragon design in the franchise.
He is such a unique dragon, even the way he snakes away to fly!
he has one of my favourite dragon roars!
also: does anyone know if any other dragon ever had the back “wings” on their back feet like he does? it’s such a cool detail
2:39 I love how the camera slowly pans out from this scene. We get to watch as Drahar's artillery fires at a passing squadron of Velaryon ships, and as the one in the middle is hit, the other two react. I think the one burning behind them that's run aground is either the one at the episode's beginning or a member of the squadron. And the fact we get to actually see the ship sink over the span of the shot and the other two split off as more shots come in, with Daemon using Caraxes to silence the artilley positions in a couple passes. That is a very good bit of detail the show creators included.
So little screen time, and yet, SO GLORIOUS PRESENCE!!!!🤩
Someone said of casting Matt Smith: "good-looking, but not in a way that rules out inbreeding." Caraxes looks the same. Good design work.
Caraxes is the fiercest Dragon in HOTD
Caraxes, Vhagar, Meleys, Vermithor, Dreamfyre, Tessarion and Sunfyre are my favourites.
So basically 90% of them
So basically everyone except syrax
Drogon, Caraxes and Vhagar in that order
@@johnisuncomfortable4279
😗don't forget Arrax and Seasmoke.
Hmmm, for me it would be
Caraxes
Maleys
Cannibal
Viserion
Caraxes better have more screen time in the upcoming season’s cause i really like him , he’s a very intresting dragon and it’s obvious that he’s very loyal to Daemon , he’s not a stubborn type of dragon.
Bro gonna fight the big boss just wait for upcoming seasons
The way that Caraxes noodles around is so unnerving to me
Just look at him. Our favorite fire noodle giraffe.
Episode 6 dragon playing in season 1 is literally foreshadowing the fight in final season.
You can tell how close of a bond they had Caraxes cried out when daemon was hit with an arrow
I love how Mysaria was unafraid of Caraxes and just walked right up to him.
Notice this about Caraxes, Since the common people are used to dragons sightings they are not so much intimidated by dragons, but just a sight of Caraxes ,Otto ,Criston Cole and many others were literally shaking.
Caraxes, meylys and vhahgar are the only dragons that look really intimidating until we see king jaeyerys dragon
@@Gutssssss666 Caraxes seems to have very aggressive history hence the fear, he is known for his love of burning things and kind of sadist
I wonder who hurt a squeaky dog toy and thought: ah yes, our murderous flying fire noodle!
Yes, the sound has layers…. But there is an underlying dog toy squeak in it. So deviously, deceivingly, undeniably adorable.
Would not be suprised if someone behind the dragon effects loved ghidorah from the godzilla universe
Damon Aemond and Jacerys have the best wrap sheet of reasons to be king in competence and inheritance
Caraxes, the Red Pseudo-Ghidorah.
I love Caraxes. His look is so unique from other dragons I've seen in illustrations and movies.
I love the forward facing horns
Low-key gives him a Tyrannosaurus-like look
And ofc, the high pitched noises, the snake-like body, and the 4 wings are awesome
Fkin racecar build, with those rear stabilizers, longneck, love it!
The music while Rhaenyra was being named heir was emotional
Caraxes is my favorite.....Beautiful & Terrible 🧡
It is like mix of water and land creature. Absolutely lovely
Caraxes is so BAD ASS! 🤜🏽🔥
"Oh, but is not Aemond's fault Vhagar attacked Arrax. Dragons go wild when threatned by other dragons".
4:05 Vhagar and Caraxes, two war veteran dragons, just playing around because there is no malice in their riders against each other.
Caraxes is BEST BOI
Everyone knows that
Man got Spicy Noodle Boi got the representation he deserved.
O mais legal é que o Daemon nem precisa gritar ou falar Dracarys, como os outros Targaryens,é como se o Caraxes soubesse o momento certo de incendiar tudo 😂
My Baby boy Caraxes Is so F**** good
1:32 I feel bad for this dude
I love how they show up close his super worm like body. When Daemon flies him to the crabfeeder, they show his entire body and it’s all slender and creepy looking. Fucking love Caraxes!!
Well Caraxes is known as the Blood Wyrm
Caraxes the blood wyrm aka the bestest boy
My spaghetti dolphin 😭😩
0:49 I adore how, when Syrax shows up, my boy starts flirting! :'3
Like rider like dragon
I guess he has his riders personality a big flirt
Thank you for sharing this beautiful compilation of our beautiful long neck noodle boi with the winged feetsies…..
Damn this cgi is so well done.
I never understood why every cgi artists insists on making the reptile scales soft and skin like (GOT, Jurassic Park or any movie with cgi reptiles)
The reptile scales are supposed to be stiff and hard like a crocodile or a lizard at least.
CGI team really did a beautiful job on this series.
God caraxes is just so freaking interesting
Caraxes is my favourite!... Yes, Vhagar is bigger but just look at him!
design on him is flawless lmao
Definitely more fire wyrm than wyvern in Caraxes!
Glorious Terror Goose ❤️
This is the best example of a rider matching his steed we will probably see unless they actually one day give us a full shot of all the glory that was Aegon the Conqueror on Balerion the Black Dread.
Caraxes was the only dragon who became powerful and able to kill vhagar because of his dragon rider , Daemon ❤❤❤
Meleys might have stood a chance had she fought Vhagar alone
@@sanjaykarthicks1226 I think so too, she’s way more faster and younger than vhagar
@@sanjaykarthicks1226 yeah, you are right
@@sanjaykarthicks1226 if both of them had fought her at once she would’ve died without much of a fight
I’m fairly certain vermithor would have also stood a chance against Vhagar.
No a single dracarys.. yet caraxes spitting fire like vomit…. That sow how their bond is really strong
Realmente para el espectador y la puesta en escena ... Caraxes es el dragón insignia de la Serie.
It’s weird that nobody pointed it out buT caraxes had diformity that’s why he/she looks the way it is.
Prince Daemon , prince Aegon and some of the only dragon riders that treat their dragons as extensions of them selves and not just a pet❤❤
A fight between Caraxes an Sunfyre would have been awesome. The most fierce dragon vs the most beautiful dragon.
I love caraxes after Daemon was wounded he was like nohhh daddy. I’ll get you out of here…
Snake, Croc and dragon combined and you got it. Caraxes. the best design
Just imagine if he were the size of vhagar. He makes up for his somewhat small size with unmatched aggression and ferocity.
Someone once called him the honey badger of dragons. Considering his later fight with Vaghar, I'd have to agree.
caraxes is now the ancestor of modern goose.
There's quantity of time, and then there's quality of time.
I love Caraxes and Demon
My favourite whistle fire noodle 🥰
0:55
Caraxes: “oh hey wuddup girl?”
awe the red noodle boy.
My best dragon , whoever wants make dragon tattoo ,make caraxes
What I like about caraxes is that his slender and serptent like body majes him more felxible and can move his body in ways that other dragons can't.
The Blood Worm and the Bronze Fury are my favorite dragons. Hope they battle together.
4:10 the sheer size difference
The coolest
Out of all the dragons, Caraxes is probably the one I'm most afraid of
his firecracker voice is beyond amazing
Daemon's bond with Caraxes is second to none.
Most fearful dragon of all time.
I think meleyes and caraxes are supposed to be the same breed of dragon.
I like Your thinking Maybe Meleys is Just a Younger Caraxes?
Eh. I’m more talking about how the creators said that there are 3 breeds of dragons, dinosaur shaped skull, horse shaped skull, and wolf shaped skull. Dinosaur shaped skull for war like balerion, drogon, vhagar. Horse shaped skull are more so court dragons that’s were more used to humans like syraxe, sunfire, and vermithor. And a wolf shaped skull for tracking, speed, and fierce nature, like meleyes and caraxes.
Actually they are probably siblings. But caraxes is said to be deformed dragon.
@@Noone91875 tru but I’m talking about their skull shape. Also have u heard the theory that dragons are half wyern half firewyrm, which would explain caraxes elongated body and ferocious nature, cs in the books firewyrms are characterized by their worm bodies and vicious nature.
He kinda reminds me of ghidorah ngl, obviously hes lacking 2 heads but the sounds and the long neck. Just me?
Nope, It's not just you
Yes he really does. Long neck, the face and the wings and of course the squeaks and chirps. Very similar.
All dragon riders command dia dragons to spit fire but dis beast spit fire as long as it's rider thinks abt fire
based on his design, he is more wyvern than a dragon
Very true and that was the intention of the author. He’s essentially a mix between a dragon and a serpent.
Best noodle boy
